This hotel is a complete rip off. I know because I have stayed in a number of hotels over a 6 month period in the South whilst on sabbatical leave. None of them have come anywhere close to this appalling place. When you enter the hotel, the reception and atrium are in marble and look wonderful, but as someone else said here: "It's all downhill from thereon in." The room was disgraceful, with badly chipped furniture, well worn fabrics, and a bathroom out of the 70's. The room service was apalling 2 hours 26 mins and 6 phone calls later drinks and a sandwich arrived. The Head receptionist said that although we booked on the internet the price we paid was not enough and we had to pay another 40 Euros a night or she could not give us a room. The breakfast was typical of no more than a motorway service station. The cheapest possible, lowest quality food, be warned if you are choosing this hotel through a tour op you are paying through the nose.
The bar was overcrowded and understaffed. If you are a family there is nothing really within walking distance so you will be held captive there. The entertainment is no better than a local pub singer. The prices were for Tenerife a complete rip off, the service was very slow, waiting 20 mins to be served. Location, unless you like to hike, don't book this hotel its a very long walk in to Playa de Las Americas. The hotel advertises limited parking. Yes, that is true- very limited Let me tell you what they mean by limited parking: Maximum of 7-10 cars at the very most for a gigantic hotel of this size. So for elderly or disabled people this hotel is absolutely not suitable.
Please take the above comments seriously, when making your decision to part with our hard earned cash. There is little you can do after you have.
The best thing about this hotel was leaving.

Rooms were really large and even had a little corridor with a door to the bedroom/front door - excellent for wiping out any passers by making noise. The bathroom was very large - bigger than some good hotels in Vegas where I have stayed. Cleaned regularly and towels and sheets changed.
Breakfast your general buffet, did the trick.
Pool areas are superb - one heated pool which was brilliant. My only complaint with this hotel (like so many others) is that people took there towels up and put them out by about 7 - then didn't return all day! Why don't the Hotels do anything about this??? Still got beds in nice areas though - if that was my only stress then hey that can't be bad!!!
I am returning to this hotel again in September we liked it so much!

The staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant within the restaurants, they would get her a baby chair whenever they seen us going in then spoke to her played with her whenever they passed.
The hotel was spotless, rooms very spacious, nice big bathroom. Would agree some places looking bit tired could be cheered up.
The location was good although we stayed on beach front last year and would prefer that location.
As for entertainment we never really seen it with having the baby we were in room early before it started, I would probably stay at this hotel again.

The wall of the rooms are so thin that we were kept awake by snoring from the adjoining room!
The worst part of our stay was the food. Luke warm, served in a 'works canteen' setting. Ate out after 2 days. Luckily there are some great restaurants nearby.
More 3/4 star

We find the location to be excellent, up market from the "Benidorm feel" of Torviscas and Las Americas.
The entertainment was better than last year but again there is ample room for improvement.
My wallet dropped out of my pocket at the poolside bar, a member of staff came looking for me to return it and unlike at Majorca a few years ago, without anything missing.
We are booked to visit again Feb 07, it is like pulling on your favourite old slippers.
We like it, you probably need to try it.

The reception was well managed and staff were always courteous. There was numberous rooms off the reception for peace & quiet (ie library, card room, etc)
The Kids club entertainment however was absolutely fantastic, very, very secure and you have full peace of mind that your child was in good hands. The kids club was twice a day 11-1 and 3-5 then a mini disco in the evening at 8.30pm. Beware though, the cost of the drinks in the hotel were expensive. We brought a bottle of house red wine for 14 euros, then purchased the same bottle at a local supermarket for 4 euro's (some markup)! The rooms were equiped with a mini-fridge which was free to utilise.
The rooms were large and spacious, the bathroom has his & hers sinks, with bath/shower & bidet etc. Complimentary robes were also included in the room for use during your stay!
The main pool was as usual full of families, however on the top floor of the hotel there was another pool/solarium sun deck that was very quiet and peaceful. Children are allowed, however, it is a quiet area. All in all this was respected!
The food was very good with a good variety though we would class this as 4* not 5*. Though I must say the food was plentiful.

On our arrival we were absolutely stunned with the entrance/reception area. It is so beautiful. Wall to wall glass and marble with a lovely waterfall.
On arrival at mid-day,the reception staff were very polite and gave us a voucher for complimentary drinks as our room was not quite ready. (check in is not guaranteed before 2pm).After a quick free drink in the Piano bar, we were in our room by 12.40pm, luggage delivered there free of charge!
The room was on the 5th floor, overlooking the pools, with a sea view.........stunning. The room itself was very large and immaculate. All rooms have air con and all have a fridge, both of which are a must.
The hotel is described as a 5 star.........well its not like a 5 star in the UK, but generally it is very good. However it does need a liitle decorating in places.
The breakfast is very good with a huge choice of food to cater for all tastes. Hovever I did see a large dish of sprouts on display one day and there were chips available every day!!!
There are loads of sun beds available. Despite this 50% are 'reserved' by 8am!! There are vacant sun beds dotted around the pool area all day. There are 2 main pools which are very large and clean. There is also a separate kiddies pool. If you really want to relax, use the very peaceful roof top pool (level 6). A nice breeze with stunning views.
There are loads of good/inexpensive restaurants within a 15 minute walk.
The entertainment was good to average. The 'magic show' and the 'Broadway show' were very good........the ABBA FEVER show was very average.
We had a great holiday and would definitely go back to this hotel again.

First impressions were wow. Big spacious hotel so never feels crowded, 3 large pools also not very crowded, food was good, very clean rooms, everyone extremely friendly/helpful, kids club and guys come round to get you to join in aqua areobics, scubadiving, vollyball, minigolf, something for all, with no cheesy karaoke- had a great time would visit again.
The only thing I didn't like in the town, men handing out scratch cards claiming you've won 1200 euros or camcorder it was annoying in the end I just said I was 24 -so underage to enter(25 to play) and they left you alone.
