The hotel was clean and tidy but for only being built in 2001 and being a 5* we were expecting the hotel to be a bit more glamourous and more up market. We would rate this hotel as a possible 3*

The food was "normal" the usual fish, chicken, rice and chips. The staff serving the food were quite miserable! But a tip: sit in the conversatory - the staff in there actually smile and have a bit banter.

Oh and you had to be up sharp to beat those Germans to the loungers, on our first day we went to the pool at 9.00 and all had towels on! We always managed to get a few loungers on the roof terrace (did not venture to the naturist area before you ask!)Quite a lot of the loungers were broken but the views were magnificent.

Location was not so good but only 5 Euro to get to Las Americas and it is a nice walk along the beach front, especially stopping off for the 1 Euro a pint instead of 2.80 Euro next to the hotel!

We would not visit this hotel again as we like our luxuries and smiley faces and would not get neither at this hotel.

This is the WORST five star hotel we've ever stayed in.

We booked and paid for a sea view room, and were given a mountain view with a crane directly in front of our balcony. When we phoned reception to discuss this, we were told to come back to reception as the telephonist could not understand English.

We were then kept waiting at reception for 20 minutes - only to be told that the hotel was full, and an alternative room could not be offered. A party standing next to us at reception were in exactly the same position (and as we found out later, countless others were too - my guess is that this hotel charges a premium for sea view on ALL rooms - then allocates them on a first come first served basis).

I asked for the manager - as I was not happy with the response from the reception staff. I was told the manager would not be in until Monday morning (it was now 7pm on Friday evening - I would be half way through my holiday by the time I could discuss my grievance with the manager!)

I asked to speak with the person in charge - and got the same response (the manager isn't in until Monday morning) - apparently this FULL hotel was "running itself" for the weekend.

On returning to our "crane view" room, we ordered some drinks from room service (as the mini-bar was unstocked). An hour later the drinks hadn't arrived, so we went out to dinner and asked reception to make sure that the drinks were sent to our room. Four hours later we returned to our room - and no drinks had been delivered. I telephoned reception - and was told that the hotel is very busy - but they will try to deliver the drinks to our room TOMORROW!!

If you've read this far - ask yourself - is this a five star hotel??

Things didn't improve for the remainder of our stay, the hotel staff are rude, discourteous and inefficient. Service is virtually non-existent here. I could not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

We've visited Tenerife sixteen times over the past 20 years - staying in apartments and hotels of differing standards. The Costa Adeje Gran Hotel represents the worst value for money of anywhere we've ever stayed.

DON'T GO!!!

The hotel reception area and views from the pools were beautiful.

The staff really need lessons in customer service and do not appear to be too concerned with complaints.

The food reminded me of a school canteen and recycling was obvious. It was also amazing the amount of time queuing that we spent in the dining room.

There didn't appear to be anywhere to go for a quiet drink, it was either the reception area or the entertainments room that had to have had the worst performances ever in a hotel!

The rooftop pool was lovely - if you could get a sunbed as most were taken by 7.30am. (And usually still had towels on them at 12, but no sign of the occupiers till after lunch) It was also impossible to get a drink at this bar because it was permantly closed.

I also spent a good deal of time in reception as I had to renew my keyfob 6 times as I was unable to get into my room.

I would probably not choose to go back to this hotel.

This was our third visit to this hotel. The rooms were fab and very large, clean towels daily and and plenty of toiletries avaiable if you needed them in your room.

I feel it is good value for money.

yes there were towels on the beds early but if you didn't mind where you sat there were plenty available around the pool.

The food has got much better since our first visit, however there is still a little room for improvement

This hotel was very nice for a relaxing holiday.

Not much in the way of entertainment and not good for children.

Would go B & B if I went back, food not very good.

Get up early to get a sun-bed.

Hotel is awesome on arrival. Lobby is vast, staff are excellent, rooms are very nice, pools lovely (warm dry towels are on tap at poolside).

Food is not upto standard of a hotel of this quality, but always something you could make do with. Evening entertainment was very poor(Lionel Ritchie tribute, more Lionel Blair).

Hotel drinks expensive 16euro for 2 vodka lemonade !
only 1 bar in vicinity, but walkable to Peurto Colon.
Gorgeous beach 5 mins walk.

Would go again, but will not pay

This hotel is mint. Every aspect could not be improved no matter where you stayed in the world. Spotlessly clean throughout. I only had 2 breakfasts whilst there coz hangovers prevented me from early rising. Location is about 1 mile from Torviscas market - everywhere easily accessible and totally silent at night - what more can you ask. Rooms were bigger than normal with a large bathroom divided in two sections - one for the bath/shower and one for the WC/bidet. His/Hers wash basins and dressing gowns too. Plenty of entertainment during the day and at night although as a very regular visitor i tend to find my own entertainment with friends in regular bars in town. Staff all spoke excellent english all totally happy and friendly at all times. Maid service was immaculate. Anybody who finds fault with this hotel is either incredibly fussy or had a VERY unlucky experience because everybody who we spoke to during our week was full of praise like i am. I got an excellent price fro alpha-beds.com and booked my own flights.I have paid more for a week in Parque de la Paz in the past than I paid in this excellent hotel.

Stayed here, B&B, last June.

Spacious rooms with high ceilings. Bathrooms have double sinks, a huge mirror, a separate toilet inside the bathroom and a big bath/power shower. We had a balcony over the swimming pool right in the centre and I think it was possibly the best room with the best view.

Also the food is not great there so I advise to book bed and breakfast and eat out.

This was the first holiday with my girlfriend who if i am honest she was the one who found it, and to her credit she couldn't have picked a better hotel.

The staff were friendly but weren't the best at speaking english but on the other hand i am not the best at spanish. the hotel is big but there is plenty of space and sunbeds, just one thing though if you go on to the terrace on the roof put plenty of sun cream on because i burnt like a lobster.

The hotel is quite a way from Playa de las Americas but if you catch a taxi its no more than about 6 euro and there are also buses which go there as well as a little white train which drives along the side of the road every so often, but if you are looking for a more relaxing time there is a local pub just down the road and that is perfect for relaxing and drinking.
