Area around the hotel expensive, very little to do, no beach or access to the seafront, only rocks. Buses every hour to Las Americas, but journey well over 1 hour over bumpy roads.
This resort would be a nightmare for teenagers or in fact couples with young children due to the noise and lack of beach, enteratinment etc. Personally I would put pins in my eyes before I would return to either this resort.

Golf del sur mainly for people who like golf and slower pace off life. I would say hire a car, nice places to drive to El Medaro, nice place or if you like a lovely beach the read rock El Medano mixed beach. Keep your'e clothes on or take them off no problem.
go oposite way go to Los Galletas on Golf del Sur walk to San Blas plenty places to eat in sqware entertainment when you eat at nite walk from there during the day along at beach front along to marina at amilla golf.
If you have no car go by bus to las americas or los christianas plenty to do there best laces to go if you have young children or want to live it up every night.

Not suitable for those with teenagers! Little to do other than the pool during the day and going out to local bars or restaurants in the evening - but that suited us fine. Some lovely restaurants can be found down near the coastal path that has been built connecting this part of the resort with the main "square" in San Blas. Here you will find a few shops, a decent supermarket and a lot of english bars and "cafe" type restaurants serving english food, TV and football (if that's what you want from a Spanish holiday!) Go down the back streets behind the square however to find a couple of little gems where you can get decent food and no kareoke! In particular the Tapas restaurant and the Italian next door - owned by same people and both first class.
We went here for a week of warm weather and relaxationat New Year and to play golf. If that is what you want it's great - but it's not lively and nothing like Las Americas (thankfully!)

We didnt stay much in resort it it seemed to be the only place on the island to be very windy!!
We hired a car and explored the island which itself is very pretty.

Golf Del Sur is OK if you like it quiet or you are a golfer. If staying here i would suggest staying near the San Blas centre. Hire a car to get to the other resorts.

Resort is quiet with little to do. Clean enough amid all the building work that is going on.
Some entertainment is available in The Square in San Blas.
Never found a beach!

El Nautico is located a short distance from both El Abrigo and San Blas. While San Blas is a very quiet village of clean and tidy residential roads with a variety of restaurants along one whitewashed main street, El Abrigo, thankfully sited across a small inlet, is a dusty development site of decidedly lower flavour while works progress. A lava beach extends from Punta Roja some two miles to El Nautico, with rocky inlets and strong seas. Entertainment is primarily supplied by the restaurants and pubs in the form of local artistes and visiting groups. This is a place to escape to, from both stressful lives and people.
