Location
We were in 121, overlooking the rear pool and Cave Bar, and it was a great location. Yes, noisy until midnight, but our kids still slept through it fine, and it was nice to be so near everything.
The complex is undergoing renovation, but this work is being done quietly so you are not disturbed at all. Most seems to be done now, with the back end of the complex still recieving the most attenetion, but it really is non-invasive work.
Pools, small but good. In high season, probably a bit more packed, but we had no trouble getting a sunbed at any time of day, and the inflatable problem never arose as most acted sensibly and took them out at busier times.
Food was lovely. We were self-catering, but never cooked much more than bacon!! Breakfast buffet was great, as was evening one, and kids under 6 eat free. BBQ was nice, no entertainment, but food was plentiful and tasty. Snack menu was fine, cheap and cheerful Brit food, so suited the kids!!
Entertainmant was usual SuperFamily stuff. Think Butlins and you will not be far wrong!! Kids disco every night, so they were happy. Soft play room open quite late so it was good as kiddies played whilst we could sit in peace. Cave Bar is nicely designed, and we spent a lot of time in it, due to the soft play and playground being located right by it.
All in all exactly what I expected for 3* accomodation. Basic but clean. Same for the complex. Cleaners around all times of day and night.
If you want plush surroundings and 5* luxury, this is not for you, but as a good base for a basic family holiday, I feel the Atlantida fits the bill completely.
One downside was the rooms got hot, but that is not unique to this complex. We solved this by buying fans from departing guests, as it was cheaper than hiring them. Keep an eye out as there are always people selling them on cheaply as they leave.

The apartment was clean every day and the standar was very good. I have score 3 for the food only because we didn't eat in there so I couldn't comment but quite a few people we spoke recommended it. Location for us was perfect not to far was bars but far away for a nice peaceful holiday
We have only just arrived back and I am in the process of booking for next year. My daughter who is 15yrs loved it and can't wait to go back next year. She didn't want to come away and made lots of new freinds. Brilliant holiday sorry it had to end.

All the staff spoke very good English and were very helpful.
The only real problems were that the toilet smelt a bit but we just bought toilet duck and the fans were not really adequate as it was so hot. We had a great holiday.

No complaints whatsoever the entertainment was excellent my kid and her friend (both 13yrs) had a great time. Food was great and at only 9 euros was good value for money.
Pool area was fine although the pool was a little small.
All staff were brilliant and helped to make this a great holiday.

We arrived on a non-Gatwick Brittania flight (2am) and after climbing what seemed 100's of feet we got to room 138. The welcome party scuttled up the wall on arrival (cocky) and at first we thought the heating was on full - the room was styfling - no aircon, how we missed this one amazed me.
The bathroom has no windows and one sad light, a pathetic expelair fan that doesn't work and STUNK, all that was needed was a touch of blue-loo to freshen the room up.
The following morning you have to play a game - follow the hoseman, he hoses the pool terrace and then unchains all the sunbeds at whim, then the race starts to get the best spot - the pool is 50/50 shaded till 3pm, the pool by the way is VERY small, about 25 is enough and isn't a problem until the terrace is full then over 50 attempt to get in (complete with oversized inflatables). If you can put up with the screaming it's ok - we can't. The problem we and others noticed most was the camp attracted yob-like families who didn't want to holiday, just smash footballs around a very crowded terrace - you take so much and then leave - most do.
The food in the cave bar is quite good and to be fair the drinks are very reasonable too. What is not fair is the cost of fans etc - we hired two at a cost of 66 euros. Added to the safe at 33 euros and the shower room key at 8 euros going ANYWHERE near reception costs.
The entertainment was OK, but again only if you could handle the yobs playing above your head and the constant screaming from kids on a nearby air hockey machine, also we had some pratt who persistantly flashed lasers in peoples faces - where are these kids parents?
The resrt is OK, nothing different than Alcudia; Magalluf; Benidorm etc just dearer for some reason. It may be worth learning Senagalise for "no I don't want my hair braiding and no I don't want a crap watch or chain from you and dont ask again thank you" - you will get pestered every 20 feet by the lucky lucky people - say "hello" to the women making quick eye contact and carry on walking, they hate that and "sunglasses? it's dark!" to the men - end of.
Bars worth visiting are the Blubell bar, Dreamers, harbour lights and the lazy fox - somewhere NOT to go is O'Flahertys - 2 of us got the 2 bob bits after a 'roast' (microwaved) dinner - urrgh.
Visit Mt Tiede it's simply stunning landsacpe if thats your thing, you need more than FOUR HOURS to get around Loro Parque - DO NOT let a tour rep tell you any different - also the Thomson reps charges are around 40% dearer than the tour people on the front - and they ARE reliable dont worry.
Please if you DO like a good roast dinner visit the 'Roast House' this place charged 10.95 but you simply dont need any more and the food is 5* - can't think of anymore apart from I will not be visiting the Atlantida.

The whole holiday was wonderful the apartments were clean and the best equipped we have ever known, the staff were helpful and spoke very good English and the reps were always where they should be which again was a first for us.
The golden sandy beach was immaculate and kept clean on an hourly basis by the people who hired out the sunbeds the sea was clear and beautifully warm and yes maybe a little further from the apartments than some people liked but we found it relaxing to stroll there and back stopping for a cold drink or something to eat.
The apartment entertainment programme was of a high standard and the reps especially showed commitment and enthusiasm.
Brilliant !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wish the rooms were airconditioned however you pays your money and you gets your goods.
One big plus was a washing machine in room great for washing out cossies at end of the day!.
Would go back without a doubt.
They built up the weekly barbeque to be somthing excellent but I was a tad disappointed with it!

We stayed in room 141. I think most rooms were much of a muchness. Dark, but clean and as spacious as most holiday apartments. Only saw one cockroach. The room was very, very hot, the noise from the Cave bar was nothing to the noise from the normally quiet daytime road outside. During the course of the night the bins which were located just outside were emptied, followed by an hour later the cleaning of the bins, which just then seemed to lead on to the stocking up of the bar from the lorries. Give me the disco noise in the Cave bar any day!!!!
We are given to understand that this is the last year that this apartment complex is going to be a Super family one. This was backed up with the fact that most of the staff were mostly Spanish German!!!!
I suppose I must be painting the complex black, but overall it was ok. The complex is very safe. The pools were both of the small side bearing in mind the size of the place, they were warm though and ample enough for us. The time we were there it was not too crowded and you could always get a sunbed as these were locked up until 9am every morning which was more than fair. (No early morning rise's for a sunbed rush).
The reps were more than friendly and helpful. Husband had a little bit of a misfortune and dislocated his finger during a game of what should of been five a side football, but was in fact more like 20 a side. This resulted in a hospital visit. The reps all made an effort to contact us to enquire how he was and showed much concern.
The play area located at the side of the Cave Bar in my opinion was very dangerous and in need of a complete face lift. At least three accidents occurred here, one of which my son was involved in, luckily he was not injured which is more than could be said for his friend. A piece of the play equipment which was situated up a pole sheared off its bolts and collapsed trapping his leg. However, again, the staff were very good, an ambulance was called and arrived quicker than it would in the UK. Only down side was that the crew did not really speak English, however, they got by and he was taken to hospital. This could have been a lot nastier than it was. This was just one of a few like I say.

We had a terrible time with teenage noise throughout our two week stay because our apartments where located adjacent to the pool table areas where the offspring of these parents gathered to reek havock well into the early hours. They behaved like they do when they are on the street corners back home, the only difference is that nobody here tries anything to stop them. Many requests were made to both the hotel staff and the Thompsons reps but to no evail.
This hotel is completely over-rated in the brochure and should be down-graded to 2 star.
Don't bother complaining to Thompsons, they are not interested and don't have a compensation policy unless you want to go on another Thompson holiday! No thanks.
