Location
For us everything was wonderful. We joined in all the activites so our day was full, you have to be parent's young at heart so you can join in with the children but you can equally sit, relax and just watch them.
We had a great time

The thing is with these apartments are that there are paths that go around and it may look like you are going the wrong direction but your not, all the paths go somewhere, they are not dead ends.
Then sayin this when it's dark and you have dimly lit paths and not sure where you are going it is very easy to get lost.
The security guard found us wandering asked us our room number and took us to the set of stairs which led up to our rooms. Room 140 and 141.
The rooms on first impressions looked dimly lit but nicely laid out, one of my friends found out that the bathroom lock was a bit iffy, for when he locked it he couldnt get it back undone, and when your claustrophobic this doesn't help, but after some calming words he finally managed to undo it and we all said we would not lock the bathroom door again.
Also that night we was sitting on the balcony having a drink, and our lights just went out, after ringing reception (9 on the phones) within 10 minutes the security guard/maintanence man came up, and fixed this problem. The next day we woke up and decided to explore first thing was to find a supermarket after asking at reception they told us the Trebol supermarket was the cheapest and biggest around, which was around a 15-20 min walk from the apartments when leisurly strolling, the taxi ride back cost 3 euro, inc service charge, the only annoying thing was the walk with the many shopping bags up to our rooms, this was only made possible with 3 of us, each carrying 4 bags, having to stop at specified places on the way to the rooms. Then we decided to find the beach, we was pleasantly suprised to find, that it was around a 5-10 minute walk and you would be immediately on the sand.
The snacks in the hotel was nice, and food was very reasonable a breakfast from the cave bar snack bar (not the restaurant, not sure how this was as we didnt visit it) that included 2 rashers of bacon, 2 sausages, a fried egg, plus chips, was 2.80 euro, a large coke (50cl) about half a litre i think was 2.10 euro and a pint of local beer was 2.45 euro.
The pools were nice and not cold, we tended to stay around the one near our apartment but did go in the bigger one once or twice. One night the small pool near the cave bar someone had an accident (of the brown kind) in the pool, and within 5 minutes of reception being told the pool was taped off and noone was allowed to use it, whilst maintenance cleaned it.
Maintenance in particular was very good one day we realised our fridge wasn't keeping the food clean, after we had turned it up it didnt make a difference even though the freezer was working perfectly, so we rung reception and within 15 minutes the maintanance man was at our room and he checked the fridge then said "i come back" and we went down to the cave bar for lunch and noticed 10 minutes after that the man was rolling our fridge away from our apartment and when we went back up, we had a new fridge and all our food put back neatly and tidily in it.
Cleaners came every day to change sheets, sweep and mop floors on balconies and in rooms.
Rooms were actually very comfortable although with the pull out bed I would think with 4 adults they would be a bit of a squeeze, as we had 3 and sometimes with my friends suitcase on the floor it felt cramped. Cooker, fridge, work surface, cutlery all good, you get a tea towel and a sharp knife, but take a dish cloth with you, washing machine n room very useful! Apartments are a bit dim in the day because of the dark decor but we found if you have the front door and balcony door open a nice breeze comes through and it really lights up the room aswell.
Entertainment staff was very good with different activites going on, water polo, skittles, badminton, pool, and our favourite the quiz! Prize bingo most nights at 9:15, highest prize we saw was 240 euro, and we won it one night with 165 euro, so it varies.
Even though we were a group of 5 youngsters aged 17-22 and it was a family hotel we never felt out of place, we came in a few nights at half 3, the reception staff always said hola, and so did the security guard.
Reception staff and most bar staff talk very good english, and will tell you what you need to know. One day I had really sharp pains in my head and felt faint, we asked at recpetion where the doctors surgery was and they said "no no don't be silly" and called me a doctor. Within half an hour the doctor was in my room examining me, and it turned out I had, bronchitus, tonsilitus and problems with my sinuses! It was a sunday and cost 80 euros for me to see the doctor, but as long as you do have medical insurance you are covered. I then asked at recpetion where I could get the prescription from because it was a sunday and most would be shut, and they told me where I could get my tablets, gave me a map and also called me a taxi.
Luggage lockers for the last day are reasonable, 8 euros, per locker, 5 of that you get back when you hand the key in. And for showers you just have to book at recpetion a time slot, you would like and it is free.
Activities are available at the hotel, crazy golf, jacuzzi, gym, squash, tennis, table tennis, all for a 10 euro deposit to get the equipment which you get back when you hand the equipment back so it's all free to use.
Over all, because as you will agree I have gone on a lot, I will conclude, I enjoyed my holiday, and didn't want to come home, and everyone at the Atlantida was great, all 5 of us enjoyed ourselves.
So, If you want, a reasonably priced, fun holiday, with lots of laughs to be had book at the Atlantida.

First impressions were good and we arrived at 9pm. The reception staff welcomed us and said only one person in the party needed to check in the rest make there way to the bar!
Check in was easy and needed 5 euro deposit for a room key, returned at the end of your stay.
Fans could also be hired for 2 euro per day, very handy.
Our room number was 116 and couldnt be any nearer the cave bar. The noise of the various entertainments was very loud but stopped immeditely at midnight.
However, the noise of fellow guests leaving the cave bar went on until around 2am and after 2 days of very little sleep we asked if we could move. This was done with a smile and little fuss, we were given room key number 2. This room was slightly larger than the first and a bungalow so no noise from above. It was immaculately clean (as was the first) with a double sink and bidet in the bathroom, seperate shower and bath.
Kitchen was well supplied with cooker, (never used!) kettle, toaster and even one or two English adapter plugs were around the apartment.
Pull out Sofa bed in living area was large and ready made with clean sheets and our 12 year old had no problems getting comfy.
The location of the Apartments was fantastic, literally out of the Apartments turn left, cross road and there is the beach.
Amazing restaurants very near by, Olive Garden being our favourite! The hotel staff were very polite, always greeted you with Hola.
Entertainment was excellent, everything for families right from magicians, singers and comedians, just about everything.
Security guards patrol the apartments night and day making the whole place very safe for children and families. The two pools are lovely, very warm and clean and many a good hour was spent around the pool using the free sunbeds and parasols.
We would indeed return to Atlantida as the Apartments are extremely clean and in a fab location, if you have children do not hesitate they will love you for it!

Atlantida was clean room was cleaned daily never had food on site as was quite expensive! location was good not too far from beach (about 5 minute walk). Staff always friendly, had no problem with security but had hired a safety deposit box. Room was in quiet location (no 49).
Wouldn't visit again as we don't do same place twice, and like to go somewhere different. Entertainment was good for kids who like kids clubs but mine weren't interested!!!!

Would go back tomorrow, but tenerife itself on the other hand was a bit of a dump. Nevertheless, had a great time. The beach in Playa de Las Americas was lovely about a 20 min walk, and the weather was perfect.
