Location
Steer clear of the pool or you'll lose your feet as they will be covered in muck at the bottom mainly due to the pool not being filtered!!!!
The food was freezing and nothing else to say about it apart from it tasting diabolic!!
The location was fine close to SOME bars and shops and fairly close to the beach front!
The staff didn't have anything to do with us, never even smiled, just frowned all day.
The entertainment was fine different acts on every night but please if you have any sense don't watch their own shows as you nearly die of embarrassment from watching them as they can hardly sing, dance or act.
None of my family really enjoyed this holiday. Down stairs there is a disco but is invaded by rowdy teenagers and you don't wanna know what they are getting up to.
This hotel isn't a 3 star I'm surprised it was given 1!!!

The only negative is SUNBEDS!its like the january sales rushing out when they open the doors to the pool area at 8.30.Everyone turns into the devil running for the sunbeds, grabbing and pushing! all i can say is good luck!

As a very fussy eater I didn't really take much notice of the restaurant food but in my families opinion.. they tended to serve 'typically british' food- chips, meat, stews, greasy fry ups- all the things the foreign naively think we'll lap up.
Cleanliness in the hotel was more than satisfactory in most areas, lacking slightly in the restaurant though.
The location of the hotel couldn't be better- just a short walk away from Los Cristianos but quite a distance from Playa, which when on a family holiday is a good thing.

We found the hotel clean with friendly enough staff. If I were to be a critical at this point then maybe they could have done with some more staff in the reception area and restaurant.
Meal times were a hit or miss at first (as far as finding an empty let alone clean table) but once used to the others habits; getting something was easy. The food I found to be fine, maybe a bit repetitive but fine. My wife and youngest child both a bit fussier than me always found something to eat and enjoyed what they'd ate as well.
The entertainment staff did try hard and were good fun and very enthusiastic. Arianna, the team leader, was a great laugh with a booming voice and a great sense of humour.
One big plus point for the hotel is it's location with the prom 150 yds one way, town centre 500 yds another and the market and a few bars 250 yds in the other .
If you fancy a trip into PDLA the bus stop is outside the hotel. From here it was

We stayed from 8th April to the 15th. April 2003, just before Easter. We were on the 7th floor and the room was one of the larger ones. We can confirm that the view of the harbour is excellent. Whilst the room was not air conditioned, it was comfortable. However, it should be mentioned that the outside temperatures were pleasantly in the high 50

The food was excellent with good selection, no signs of the things other people complained of.
It cannot have been that bad the hotel cats consumed great quantities of it smuggled out by the guests. Only one cat was ever allowed inside the hotel, called marmalade incidentally.
The hotel stands high up looking over the bay, nice views but all up hill when returning.
Los Christianos bay has a horse shoe beach and a small harbour with ferries to the other islands. Lots of bars and places to eat.
We didn't find any cockroaches any where at all on this holiday which is unusual in tenerife. The room was comfortable but basic. the bathroom was definitely in need of a refit, but had everything you needed.
We found a local chap from Middlesborough! who hired out fans and fridges all brand new and well worth the cost.
The pool was clean and pleasant, you paid a small charge to hire loungers.
The weak spot was the entertainment mostly presentation nights done by hotel staff to the kids, we went out to the local bars all with live bands and such.
We would go back again.

The Aquapark is a rip off; you pay to get in, you pay again for a sun lounger, you pay to rent an inflatable (you cant go on one ride without one)plus food and drink is expensive.
Loro park is good but busy and on the other side of the island. Parque Aguilas is nearer cheaper and we thought better.
Los Christianos is nice, especially the old town, the harbour is nice and the looky looky men don't hound you once you have said no thanks. Los Americas at night is for young adults who are drunk!! not a place for young kids.
A good holiday.

The resort was nice and quiet, although Playa las Americas is a great place to stay if you are interested in more shops and surroundings. We didn't have any problems at all, the food was nice, the pool was a good size and staff there are very polite and helpful. We weren't really there for all the entertainment, but there was a good deal of entertainment.
I would definitely go back to this hotel again if I had the chance.
There was also a long corner of shops not far, with a beach. When we went up there, we used to sit up the other end at night and it was ever so relaxing. Facing the beach. There was never any shop you wouldn't have wanted here.
There are plenty of things to do in the area, and Playa las Americas was a brilliant place, not too noisy and great to stay at if we ever went here again. Outside the hotel, there is a small playground, great for the kids. A table tennis table. A bar for drinks, and hot foods. Also a kids club.
Great to stay at, and lots to do here, whether it

Overall we thought the hotel was good. It was clean throughout, and the staff were friendly. The swiming pool was good, with a childs pool alongside the main pool, and plenty of sun beds. There seemed to be plenty of activities laid on throughout the day. The hotel is quiet in the evenings.
The food was good for a 3 star hotel - certainly better than I was expecting. Not gourmet, but reasonably varied, with something for everyone. Other visitors we spoke to had similar views. The restaurant does get busy at peak meal times, but we never saw people hanging around waiting for tables, and the staff were always actively clearing tables etc as fast as they could.
It is not too far from the beach, but the slight rise from the seafront could be a struggle for wheelchairs and buggies.
Los Cristianos is a bit of a dump, but the beaches are OK.
