Beaches

The beaches was cleaned everyday and was always busy. We didn't get to see much of the resort as a member of our party had mobility problems s couldn't walk far. We did catch the town train which takes you on a tour of the area but if you wanted to get off at the town stop to have a walk around you had to pay again. This could turn out if you had children and a large party.

We loved this resort. It was clean with plenty of waste bins.
Beach was nice even though a little rough at times. Plenty of peddalos etc.
Lovely prommenade to stroll along day or evening.
Access to other areas such as port/waterpark easily reached by local bus or taxis. Taxis are good value for money.

Exceedingly clean sand and shingle beach that stretches for miles. shelves quite quickly into the sea. A good choice of bars and restaurants something to suit everyone.

The resort is very clean and tidy, well maintained too. No hassle from merchants or shop keepers. Some nice bars too. We recommend the English bar right at the end of the prom - the Boulevarde. Fantastic Guinness and very friendly staff. We also recommend the excellent booze shop around the corner from it.I was tempted to buy some Death Head Rum, but noted the warnings on the bottle!
If you go off the main road and into the residential area, there are some fantastic villa's and houses and one local told us that Spaniards live their rather than rent them out which may explain the tidiness of the resort.

This resort appears to have mushroomed overnight and there appears to be continous building everwhere. It is very family orientated, clean and safe.
There are lots of eating places though entertainment is low key.
The beaches are well maintained with lifeguard stations and toilet facilities at frequent intervals, unfortunately it is shingle and slopes sharply into the sea.
Th lovely tiled promenade is a must for keen walkers being approx 4 miles long. There are many eating places throughout the entire length . A visit to the restored Moorish Castle is recommended.

A nice resort...probably best suited to families as it was mainly local restaurants / bars and didn't notice many night clubs.
Great long shingle beach..never overcrowded
Spanish were very friendly and although English is not spoken everywhere,if you try to speak a little Spanish they tried to understand you.
Spanish are very family orienated and a great place to stay if you have children.

Beach a disappointment coarse sand and shingle. Everything else excellent. Only one blip there did seem to be an extraordinary number of flies around.

Still under development, not a great deal to do. There are some completly borded up hotels.
Beach is shingle but large and clean. Long promanade full length of resort. Bus service easy to use but not very time reliable.
Our two weeks had perfect weather, not a cloud hot with a slight breeze.

Resort going to be very popular in years to come.Construction happening all over.Much bigger town than i imagined.
Beaches cleaned daily but steep shelve makes it not too much of a child friendly beach.Beach is shingle not sand.
This is more of a resort to see the quieter side of Spain. It is not full of 'British bars'or drunken twenty somethings. It is not Benidorm.
We had a great holiday and would return here again.
