The resort is superb in every way, plenty to do lovely beaches most hotels are on or near the beach.lively but not MAJORCA!(we have all been there!)no lager louts just folk out to enjoy themselves.stick to the Spanish and British shops and Bars and you will feel great! the other nationalities are well!!say no more..fortunately the resort is mostly British and Spanish.I think all the Hotels are so you are fine there All in all by far the very best of all the Costas dont think! just go and ENJOY!!

Weather was good around 25 degrees each day although a few days were quite windy. The flies were a nuisance even at this time of year. The resort is very flat so is ideal for wheelchairs. My husband does not use a wheelchair but has difficulty walking any distances and I found the resort to spread out for my liking - from where we stayed it was a good 15 min walk to any sort of night life and then another 10 min walk to the lively bars. Beach was vey clean although a bit shingly. Would I go again - not in a hurry!

roquetas de mar is a great flat resort,no hills to climb, prom is very busy in the morning with all the old people having their daily exercise, case of if you cant beat them join them. best bar was theos, with dermot and staff brill, best eatery was bar aurora, by the harbour, what tapas they serve- 1st class. good chinese near theos bar, by roundabout on avenido mediteranneo.beach is off gravel type and really hurts your feet,so wear sandals

the resort is clean and very flat. The beach is however shingle, no good for sandcastles. Plenty of restaurants with reasonably priced food, in fact best I have come across in Spain. Not one really for night life so no information, lots of bars some which do tapas. Have booked and I am returning

A very pleasant resort. Good base for visiting Granada etc. Fortunately lacking in English pubs etc. We were here 2 years ago and found the place generally more prosperous and that prices had risen.

the beach was just five minutes walk down the street and cleaned every evening.

The promenade from the Colonial Mar to resort is spotlessly clean and a nice pleasant walk (even though it takes around an hour and a half).
The nearest bars and restaurants are about 20 minutes walk at the harbour. Its then another 30+ minutes to walk to the Zoriada Gardens where you can pick up the tourist train (4 euros), which will take you to both Avenue Meditarraeno or Golf Trinidad Hotel.
Around Avenue Meditarraeno best place to eat is the Flamingo - food is excellent.
Cheapest drinks are at the english bar - Red Lion (near Theos).
In area of Golf Trinidad - best eateries are:
Restaurant Europa - mixed kebab is fab
Manadarin Chinese - superb set meals at crazy prices
For Italian - La Grappe is good
Didnt rate Wild Coyote steak house.
Best entertainment is at the Tropic bar - live music with singers Haydn and Errol - well worth a visit.
Lots of building work going on. Flies not as bad as thought from previous reports.

Everything you need is in this resort but without being overpowering and too comercialised like other resorts.
Great restaurants, bars, shops and great supermarkets.
Beach is cleaned every day - shingle but lovely. Small charge to use sunbeds but not much at all. Fantastic promenade that goes on forever - great to stroll on at night with the sun going down.
A great resort that caters for all but still retains the spanish charm.

Very clean well kept resort lots of buildind work going on but not close enough to spoil things.
The resort was quieter than we expected we went sept 24th some pubs closed. We had a lovely meal every night we recommend grappa italian on an evening and the several english bars for a quick snack durind the day y da wake was nice.Try the spanish bars that give u free tapas with every drink its fun and very cheap.Leave the hotel from the front door and turn left opposite is a wonderful italian restraunt very nice bit pricey but well worth a visit dress up full of rather wealthy spanish when we ate there.
We liked the beach with the lovely cushions on beds but sea bit rough and deep and not keen on shingle beach hard and dirty on feet we like sand, nice breeze to keep you cool.
We hired a car and had great time get a map and go to Las Alpujarras mountain range wonderfull views of the seria nervada and lovely white wash villages drive carefully sheer drops in some parts. We drove to mojacar up the coast this was lovely especialy the old village in the hills will go back there soon.
We would not go back to this resort but only because the world is such a big place to explor. we had a nice relaxing time and no flies at all.
