The food was bad because nothing complimented anything,ie chips for breakfast and omelets for tea with pork loin and gravy like dishwater, a couple of oxos would of rectified this.the second week was the same all over again.Salad bar very good but you cant live on salad for two weeks.Hotel did not cater for children food wise, chicken nuggets, burgers and beans would of been a treat for my grandson and niece aged 3 and 4. luckily there was a macdonalds on beach front.
Hotel was opposite from main strip but we never heard much noise, and there was a security guard on door all night.
hotel staff very friendly and spoke good english.
And i have to thank richard the airtours rep; for getting medical help when my grandson split his mouth open and needed stitches after a fall on playground in hotel grounds. so thanks again richard for your prompt actions.
entertainment was ballroom dancing aimed at spanish guests although nice to watch it didnt start til 10pm.they didnt cater for children other than a reptile show which started at 23~30 hours.
we would not stop at hotel again but they would benefit if food was better and air conditioning was less noisy and blew cold air out instead of warm.

We had to use the pool in the hotel next door or the beach. Food was absolutley disgusting everybody was complaining we lived off salad, chips, bread for 2 weeks.
The meat they served was either something you never heard of or it was still bloody!
Location was great but that was about it.

We went on a girl's holiday and enjoyed every minute! The hotel was great, very clean (room cleaned every day!).
We were full board and there was a good choice of food.
The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. There was also a security guard outside reception 24/7 which was good!
The entertainment in the hotel was aimed at the the more mature guests (line dancing etc) but was still a good atmosphere. The hotel bar is well set out as is the pool area...lots of sunbeds and seating!!
The only disappointing thing was the lack of sun, however plenty of other things to do, so it didn't really spoil anything!
We had a fantastic holiday and are so so sad to be home!
We'd definitely go back!

My daughter did'nt like it as they only had chips for breakfast! We did have the unfortunate experience of something going missing from our room, did report it to reception but the girl did not speak very good English. A word of warning to other guests, put your valuables away out of sight.
Apart from this it was a very enjoyable holiday it is a nice hotel, perfect location but I would not go back there.

The hotel food was absolutely delicious I put on some weight while I was there
The hotel location was brilliant only 250m from the beach.
The hotel staff were lovely.
Entertainment was very very poor

The rooms are basic but clean, we always ask for the annexe so I dont have to mess about with lifts or stairs, the food is very good, the staff are excellent and very friendly.
The pool area is basic but clean and a sunbed is always guaranteed, they have now installed an outside lift for the infirm and lazy to get easier access to the pool. Pool side drinks are expensive but there is a shop virtually next door to purchase cold drinks etc for a fraction of the price.

The food at the hotel was of a high standard. There was plenty of choice and we had no problem finding a table at each meal time.
A lot of the food was self service, it was only the main hot dish which was served for you and they gave you huge portions and as much as you wanted. The hotel caters for the british palate and the puddings were great - sherry trifle, apple crumble, rice pudding etc. You could also get really nice hot porridge for breakfast.
The wine list was very good and great value and the drinks in the bar were a lot cheaper than at home! We had a whale of a time on the jugs of Sangria.
This hotel mainly caters for it's more senior guests. The ballroom dancing was lovely to watch but after a while we were playing "spot the celebrity look-a-like." We saw a great Elsie Tanner and Les Battersby. We managed to have a quick trip round the dance floor when they played the two records which weren't for ballroom dancing - we still expected scorecards when we had finished.
All in all this is a great hotel for couples and seniors but we wouldn't go there with our 3 kids. The weather was warm and we had a great time at the Calypso.

Another thing is I put weight on when I stay there.
I ask for a quiet and get it. Ok at night its mainly old time dancing, but the odd night when I stayed in (I smoke so never stay in now) it was really good if you’re into that sort of thing. In fact I have noticed other people coming in from other hotels just to dance.
Ok like most of the hotels the eating area is small and getting a table can be hard, but best to pick a time like 45 mins after it as opened. Get the rush out of the way. I never like to queue up. I am not cattle. Then make a rush to get a table. Why rush your on holidays, I can see why though. Getting a night table ( but most I see put a jacket and a drink on the table they like.
I cannot fault this hotel; even have carpets to keep the noise down.
