We were on the 17th floor and had a great view of most of Benidorm. We also looked down on hotel Sol Pelicanos' swimming pool where they film "Benidorm".

Depends on preference.
Balcony overlooking pool... daytime sun, road traffic noise.
Balcony park side afternoon sun... bus stop, traffic noise.
Only 6 floors so not a high building for Benidorm.

If booking here ask for a room overlooking the pool and be prepared for rude staff!

Great wee beach at the bottom of the road and Vincent’s bar across the road for great karaoke.Bar staff excellent especially Duncan.Balcony not always guaranteed. The other hotels we visited were also welcoming and they had an outdoor pool. Cristal park and Villa Benidorm. Excellent.
We will return. ???

Are the club rooms worth the extra not in my opinion
Get a very high or very low floor, the middle is a nightmare for getting on the lifts.

Don't take anything valuable. They just tell you to use the safe. We had expensive make up and jewellery stolen...other people had clothing stolen...others money. Gonna need bigger safes!!!! Disgusting
Go somewhere else

take extra cash because the company didnt tell us about needing a deposit! we had to pay 150 euros per room when we got there, in cash, as they didnt accept credit or debit cards (even though they took these at the bar?!) and this left us short of cash.

If like me you are a light sleeper book a pool view room.
33% off drinks in the night club under the hotel, entry near the restaurant for hotel guests. Crissie Rock good comedienne (if you are broad minded).

we were advised not to use the alleyway at night from the main road to the apartments due to some muggings. needs to be better secured.

We were staying at the Madeira Centro on the edge of the Old Town which was about a 15 min walk to the New Town.
In the Old Town we went to the Two Palms restaurant in Calle de Palma twice as it was so good, even though we were full board. They have an Early Bird menu from 4.00-6.30pm for €7.90 and a Special 12 menu for €12.95 in the evening which has a choice of 12 starters, entrees and desserts. We had fish cakes, which was like a small meal, and garlic mushrooms which were delicious. Then we had the Dutch fillet steak which came with mashed and boiled potatoes, homemade chips, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, peas and a mixture of potatoes and onions. For desserts we had apple pie and custard and chocolate gateaux and cream. Everything was lovely. A bottle of house wine was €8.
One night we went across the road to the Music Hall where Chris entertained us on the piano while Barry sang old music hall songs. A mixed drink was €4.50 and a glass of wine €2.50. While we were there Howard Kendal, ex-Everton manager, and his wife joined our table and we had a great night.
We also visited the Duke of Wellington next to the hotel. Mixed drinks were €3.00 and a pint was €2.00. Rump steak was €7.00 and gammon was €10.
We spent most of our evenings in the New Town and enjoyed the Beagles (Beatles/Eagles tribute) at Jail Rock where mixed drinks were €4.40 and a bottle of San Miguel €2.20. Really enjoyed Peatloaf (Meatloaf tribute) who we saw 3 times at various places including Stardust and Westlife who play at Morgan Tavern.
Piccadilly was one of the cheapest places to have a drink at only €1.00 for a pint of San Miguel, a coffee or a tea. The most expensive was RockerFellas at €5.25 for a mixed drink and €2.65 for a bottle of San Miguel.
I used the internet cafe and telephone kiosks shop between the Calypso and Pelicanos hotels which was only 50c for 15 mins internet usage and €1.20 for a 2 min call to the UK.
The beach is lovely and well kept and there were a few people sunbathing as the temperatures were 16-18 deg even in December. The promenade was very busy with people walking.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Benidorm and hope to return again.

After 17 visits to Benidorm everyone on these boards know we love the place, we have made some great friends who are workers over their and the sheer variety of the resort makes us return time and again.

The resort itself is ideal but for the fact of robberies in the hotels

You here so many stories about Benidorm that it had put us of visiting but we decided to go for Christmas and the New Year. We were surprised Benidorm is a very clean place.Although it was busy it was not the noisy loutish place we had expected. We enjoyed it so much we are going again in the summer. There are plenty of places and attractions to visit that you would never get bored.

What can you say about Benidorm? You either love it or hate it and we love it. We have been five times now. We love to walk along the promenade to the old town, stopping for a couple of drinks along the way and then look around the shops and then visit the lovely tapas bars.

Benidorm is one of the best locations for a beach holiday but we went during December and the weather was not really kind to us.

i have visited benidorm between 20 and 30 times and have always felt safe but this time our friends had their money stolen and we accompanied them to the police station. this was definately an eye opener, so many british people turning up having been robbed in different areas and different circumstances. very worrying and will probably not return again
