We have just returned from one of the best holidays ever. On arrival we felt we would get no peace as it is a family hotel and the pool was as expected over run with kids. However we soon found out about the rooftop area for adults only. It was brilliant. Very quiet and peaceful with a bar and 3 jacquisis (sorry about the spelling). Other kid free zones included a quiet bar and a great gym and sauna. Our room ovelooked a smaller pool and sunbathing area for parents and children 0-8, which was a nice quiet are also.

We thoroughly enjoyed 3 good meals every day, loads of variety and every three days there was a roast carvery which was fantastic. In between meals there was a snack service, which was also buffet style and had a good choice. Dont worry if you miss breakfast, lunch or dinner, you will never go hungry here.

The rooms were basic, however we spent very little time in it. There was daily maid service, with clean towels and bedding. I have speant a great deal more on previous holidays and not recieved this service.

The entertainment was ok, however one reccomendation i would make is that children should not be allowed to stay once the adult entertainment starts.

I did not feel the need to go the few yards into callela that often, therefore it was a few days before i realised, just what a nice place it is, with 2 streets of great shopping.

The beach is a bit gritty but the water was crystal clear.

Dont hesitate to book this hotel, however expect it to be very busy at all times.

The Good - As much food and drink as you like (even if the food could be a bit repetetive. The kids can go and get their own drinks and snacks leaving you to laze around the pool.

The Bad - Rooms are very basic with no air conditioning - fine if you don't normally spend too much time in the room

The Ugly - Possibly the battleaxe who runs the gym/sauna area. The rest of the staff are lovely

Had a great time. All inclusive seems to make everybody so much more sociable. Possibly because everyone gets to know each other as you spend a lot of the time around the hotel. Also helps that you can offer to get drinks for anyone you meet without it costing you a penny

The hotel was always very clean and the cleaners were always around cleaning different areas of the hotel. The pool area was cleaned daily and sunbeds hosed down.
The food was excellent and in constant supply, they were always refilling the buffet and didnt leave it tatty, the breakfast was a bit repetative althought they did have different types of sausage nearly everyday and egg.
The hotel was in a prime location just tucked away but very close to everything. The staff were all very friendly and looked after the hotel well. The only down side, if any, was the entertainment. Althoguth grease was very good the other shows werent so good.

Food at hotel was basic with lack of choice. Towards end of holiday started eating out more. Rooms 30 years out of date with no aircon. Staff not very friendly. Who on earth rated this hotel as 3 Star It's difficult to find something positive to say about this hotel and holiday resort. With the amount of money going into this well established area you'd think that they would spend at least some of it on updating the hotels. Shall not be returning to the Costas

We arrived at 5.00am. Reception area was quite nice but when we got out of the lift the corridoors were shabby and dark.

When we got to our room and opend our door we were shocked. I could of cried. All the furniture was painted dark green.

70's bedding, sheets had holes in them and holes in the walls and peeling dirty wallpaper.

The glass in the balcony door was cracked and it wouldn't lock. The floor was unlevel the balcony railing was loose there was a table and no chairs.

The bathroom was the biggest nightmare the bath was black with age and full of hairs. A socket was off the wall.

Did not want to sit let alone sleep or wash there the most disgusting hotel we ever been in.

Got moved the next day. Would never stay in that rat hole again.

Anyone reading other reveiws this one is the truth.

i went here for a weeks break and i would never go back again as the food was very bad, the staff were rude and the entertainment was only a disco every night which was very bad. The rooms were very small with very thin walls. My advice to anyone is not to go here.

Read a lot of these horror stories and cannt believe its the same hotel as described by some of the previous people. I have come away with my partner and baby of 7 months and find this hotel and resort even better than most other hols i have been on. Cost 600 pounds for a week fully inclusive and everything is fine. No long walk to beach and there is a train track but there is a safe place

Where do i start, the room walls were paper thin(which is nice when the family next room where arguing at 4am).
The bar was rubbish i mean come on plastic glasses we aren't kids. The food was cold and under cooked.

As for the resort there were hardley any english pubs and when we did find one it was full of kids(arond 1am).

My partner and i are experienced travellers and have been to most european hotspots, however Calella and the osiris hotel are certainly not in my top 10. id of been better going to cleethorpes...
