You get what you pay for.

This hotel is more for young people than families. Ask for a room on 4 or 5 floor as there is less noise - it is a noisy hotel.

Food ok - had worse. Glad we only stayed for a weekend.

So if your looking for 4* hotel book 4*. If it sounds a too good to be true deal then it probably is!

Worried about going after I read other reviews but not as bad as I thought.

This hotel had lots of young groups on hen/stag parties and lots of Potuguese guys who had very little respect for other guests. We were woke up continuously throughout the night due to dis-respectful guests.

The pool area has limited space for sunbeds and with young children you need to be by the poolside to watch them as there is no lifeguard. Sunloungers are nearly all gone by 8.30am which is unfair to guests who have small children and unable to supervise on a lounger by the pool.

These beds are taken but may not have anyone but a towel reserving it for at least 3-4 hours!!! Food is not up to scratch at all I travel to spain regularly and this was the worst I have ever been served up - scrambled egg soup and dried baked beans in paella??!!!

I only stayed here for 2 nights, and oh how decieving the outside is. I luckily didn't pay for this short break, it was a gift.

The food was edible, but nothing special. Its the basic cheap 3 star food you should expect and nothing more. There isnt a variety really, unless you like alsorts of weird foods, and are happy to have weird concoctions on your plate.

The hotel itself is need of a full face lift and needs completely gutting. The furniture is old and tattered, and has been battered by the yobbo's that flock to the hotel.

The walls are full of nicotine, and are just dirty. The room where you leave your bags (which is not secure at all by the way) is a right eye sore, I sat in there on my last day praying for a time warp to send me home sooner. Why have they put green snooker table covering on the walls in there? its filthy, the walls are full of marks where they have had pictures on the walls for years and then taken them down, and the chairs where broken to.

This was unfortunately booked through Alpharooms. When you look at the hotel from outside or from the side view even, you see everyone gets a full size balcony, when you book with alpharooms did we get one? no we didnt. If you look at the side of the hotel, so you can see the hotel entrance, look towards the rear of the hotel, you can see much much much smaller balconys, it actually looks like windows on a fire escape, they are that small. This was my balcony, which was so small you couldnt even get two people on it, or even a chair.

The pool area is a mad house all day whilst theres sunshine. People leave there towels there all week and do not move them at all, so youve little chance of a sun lounger.

The cleaner didn't do a very good job in my room as she failed to pick up the ear bud that was on the floor when I moved into the room, which was still there when I left.

Although the massive balls of fluff under the bed did get sweeped up, guess she wasn't that blind after all. Watch out for them picking up dirty towels and putting them over the rail to.

The last thing to mention is the showers, I don't actually know how you were surposed to get the shower head to stick on the wall, when the attachment on the wall was way to big for the shower head, meaning it just fell off. Also there is very little water pressure on the top floors in this hotel.

A word of advice though, this hotel group which had several other hotels only a train ride away, and one up the road, operates a system where you can go and eat and drink in any of the other hotels. I dont know if a 3 star guest can go upto a 4 star, but I definately know it works the other way round. So if you fancy a change, hop on a train.

I would never go back to this hotel, unless it was to watch it being demolished.

On arrival wasn't allocated pool view as requested, unable to sleep at night due to people arguing, shouting and sometimes fighting, also had people playing football in corridors till early hours every night. Informed hotel staff and that was a waste of time.

Food was basic ok if you like chips not very varied and nearly always luke warm. Room was rather tired but generaly clean, maid service good overall. If your looking for a quiet holiday this is definatly not for you. Entertainment average. would we go back? not if our lives depended on it. finally all we can add is that we were glad to go home and that speaks volumes!!

We arrived on Xmas eve. First night there was a domestic. Blood and gore and rows for hours on end in the corridor. It was a free for all, anyone joined in. Police came took hubby away after 4 hours or so of shouting. Then they let him back in and I have to say I did not hear him again

Food was ok on the whole just boring chips, chips and chips.

Rooms clean but seedy was the word for the hotel.

We were on 6th floor and the lifts always out of order.

We were glad to come home

Just come back from the Casino Royal, me and my partner went for 2 weeks all inclusive.

The room was very old fashioned but was cleaned every day with fresh towels.

The food was to satisfactory taste but has at least 3 choices of meat veal, chicken, or turkey including rabbit and plenty of chips etc.

The entertainment was ok but lots of ballroom dancing and a mini disco in between. There was 3 shows on a week in the hotel. The hotel offers 2 trips out and the medieval night is a must cost 10 euros each but a brilliant night, and the other is to the Gran Palace with flamenco shows this one is 8 euros.

The hotel is in a good spot as the shops are over the road.

Hotel got very noisy at night with shouting, arguing, in the corridors till at least 3am, take some earplugs.

The staff were very helpful, any complaints and they sorted it.

We would go again but 1 week is plenty not 2.

We took a late booking to this hotel so with the deal we got we were not expecting the ritz. On arrival we did have to wait for our room but it was no big deal, the sun was shinning and drink and food was available.

The rooms were ok, pretty basic but after all you just sleep there, they were clean although if you want to lay in and put your do not disturb sign on, it is ignored and they just clean around you!

The food is ok, although you might come home heavier after eating all them chips and I dont think any food is wasted it turns up the next day disguished as a different dish.

The snacks got abit boring after two days being the same thing, there was no poolside bar so it was an effort to climb up the stairs to the only bar to get a drink when at the poolside perhaps that was to discourage us all inclusives to drink.

You have to find out what goes on at the hotel by other guests because the hotel is not very informative, there is the medevil night which you only pay 10 euros each for and another trip which we were not told about by the reception and you can also book with reception to eat at the royal star and beach hotel which are both 4* hotels.

The bar staff and dining staff are so friendly compared to the rude and miserable ones at the royal star. We actually spent all our evenings at the royal star, their sister hotel it was lovely to be able to drink our drinks out of proper glasses and the entertainment was good too compared to royal stars non existent one well actually I think they had a mini disco each night we never stuck around there for long.

This hotel is difinately not recommended if you want peace and quiet, it is noisy day and night and this time of year no childrens entertainment if your stuck just take them along to the royal star they will keep your kids happy.

Would not stay here again by choice and if it had had rained I think it would be really bleak.

In all the hotels that i have stayed in this without a doubt is the worse. The food was total rubbish no english food available at all in the hotel and your allocation is 30 minutes only to have your meals. The hotel was filty and the entertainment was all right if you were german. The staff were ignorant and in the end most of the english party were moved to another hotel what i do suggest to anybody thinking of going is don`t bother

We went to this hotel as a last minute holiday.

I thought it was very comfortable, and we had our room cleaned everyday. The corridors were clean and so was the dining area.

As I have two young children I expected to have a good choice of food for them, but sadly all they lived on was chips, there was no children friendly foods, although there was burgers and sausages in snack bar which was okay but these couldn
