Get a room on highest floor possible, keep way from first floor as they put the German, Dutch and Belgium youths in there.
Avoid if you want an All Inclusive holiday and don't want to pay for anything as this hotel charges by the minute it seems for anything they want to.

Take an empty water bottle with you down to breakfast and fill it up, saving you having to buy water for the day.

Stayed in Fenals just outside Lloret. Fenals is very small and quiet with a limited number of cafes and bars. However LLoret is only a 10 minute walk and the centre of this resort is very large and very lively.
The shops all seem to sell exactly the same things as each other!
The beach is kept very clean and sunbeds are cheap and readily avaliable; but there are not many places to buy snacks and drinks (maybe because it was end of season).

The beach at Lloret de mar is made up of grainy sand which can feel hard underfoot but doesn't stick to you so ideal for laying on towels. I did see one pile of doggy doings on the beach left behind by one of the locals dog, shame on you.
The bars on the beach do the most enormous drinks and makes the holiday more memorable.
There is Macdonalds and Burger King for all you junk food lovers out there. Plenty of bars many serving food as well.
Yes I will be returning again.

Fenals is definitely the more "up market" part of Lloret and the beach was brilliant. Not packed like sardines in a row, we could pick our spot even although it was busy. Never attempted a swim though, scared I would end back home, it was very rough, not recommended for kids I would assume, unless of course they were tied to your wrist. Guys with selling beds/parasols could not do enough and were very friendly. Had a couple of good nights in the Navy Bar just up from the Hotel. Took a few days to find everything but you can't get lost, everytime you turn a corner you are back to where you started and lots of pubs, restaurants dotted around so if you are SC you will have a good choice - not too dear either. I would recommend this resort for couples only of any age. All the night life was in the centre of Lloret and if you want a choice of discos, clubs and a lively holiday etc. don't stay in Fenals.

Lloret had everything you could possibly need, loads of bars, nightclubs and shops. i didnt see that much for children to do but then again i was not really looking.
both fenals beach and playa lloret had were shingle and were quite steep so i could only go a few meters in, so smaller children would have to be watched closely at all times.

As I said I owuld definately vist Lloret De Mar again. The beach was very clean but is man made so its stony and the water is quite deep when you take a few steps in. The nightlife is fantastic and if you want a few quiet nights theres lots of lovely restaurants and a little cocktail bar right on the beach. There is also a tram that takes you around the town and into its surrounding area. Bowling is also available and I would recommend you go on the bull beside the Queen Vic. All in all 10/10 for the resort. We loved it!

Although there was quite a few shops, they seemed to be all the same. The beach was quite nice but it was very deep and not really suitable for small children. It can become quite dangerous when the waves are big and we saw many people get knocked down by the force of them. There was however, a lifeguard.
We found the resort on the whole to be very dated, noisy and dirty. The cleanest place was the beach.
Even if we stayed in another hotel, we don't think we would stay in this resort again.

We were located in the Fenels district of Lloret which pleased us as it is a lot quieter and a little more up market.
The Fenels beach is much better than the Llorette beach and much quieter, you can walk around the road from beach to beach in 15 mins but not for those with mobility probs, for those folk use the water taxi.
There is a great little cafe / bar at the extreme far end of the beach, reasonable prices and very romantic at night to watch moon come over horizon.
Where the cafes are located at the bus stop end of the beach there is a cheap and cheery cafe (not ones right on front) up the side, a litre of estrella beer for 1.95 euro, now thats cheap, and the foods not bad either.
One point, when are the Spanish authorities going to get to grips with the dogs crap ?
Its all over, just like every other Spanish resort, the dog owners never clean up. Come on Spain, your paths and roads are spotless so get this sorted.

Cleanliness - The hotel was immaculate. The pool was cleaned every night. The room was serviced every 1 to 2 days with fresh towels and the floor was always mopped and clean.
Entertainment - We never went to the hotel entertainment but what we heard sounded ok, apart from the same CD being played each night. Very family orientated.
Beach - The beach nearest to the resort was really nice, we walked down there most of the days and spent a great day there. The beach is really quiet and was only crowded on the bank holiday.

Resort was spotless, seen people cleaning pavements every day and no litter was seen at all.
Not sure abuot entertainment as we were all inclusive and mainly stayed within hotel complex.
The beach was lovely, sea was clean however it is not a sandy beach. It is full of small pebbles which are very sore on your feet so stayed away from beach and went to pool side most days.
Lots of shops within resort which was good. Also a small train which takes you around resort, good idea for first day to see where thing are. Good local bus service as well into other resorts.

i found LLoret De Mar a very dirty resort with dog muck everywere, there is plenty to do in the resort but it is very expensive, we found a nice english bar called Orient Express and we ate most of our meals there nice manager called Derek. the beach was nice although thew sand is grainy and it hurts to walk on it in bear feet. nightclubs are quite dangerous so dont go out unless your in a group of people. i was glad when the taxi came to take us to the airport on the way home, i would not go back to Lloret De Mar.
