Avoid if you want an All Inclusive holiday and don't want to pay for anything as this hotel charges by the minute it seems for anything they want to.
Do not stay here.. Worst ever so called hotel I have stayed in

Take an empty water bottle with you down to breakfast and fill it up, saving you having to buy water for the day.

No issues with cleanliness. The beach was well maintained but like cat litter....flip flops essential it cuts your feet to bits!Plenty of water sports and activities. However the sea does get very deep just a few feet in so be mindful of little ones!
Lots to do in lloret had a great time. Essential to visit the severn seas bar for a great atmosphere and happy hour every night. It has a small area to dance and even the kids are able to join in.
The only drawback is after a few pints the streets all look the same! Make sure you have your bearings. Praise be for Father Rees the sticker vicar who got us home every night.

Found the resort very clean workers were out all night cleaning the resort. We found a few nice restuarants especially Giorgio's. Beach was very clean but did not spend a lot of time on it. The night life was lively, which was great for the 2 teenage girls we had with us, the only problem was the worry of them getting back to the apartments as the road was very quiet and dark. The excursions through the rep were excellent.

The resort very clean. The Entertainment ok. The beach nice as does say in the brochure that it is shingles, but it was clean, but watch out for the boats that come on the seafront as you can get very wet!!

This resort is more for singles/couples than families. There wasn't much for kids to do although we did visit marineland nearby which was excellent.Beware of the beach-not child friendly.Ther was a big drop into the very rough sea.Probably would visit the resort again but without the kids.

Didnt like the shingle beach, much prefer a nice sandy one. Nice resort, close enough to walk to from hotel, but buses are also very cheap.

The beach is pebble and not as bad as we suspected. Their are actually two beaches in the area. The one nearest the hotel is very family - didn't see the thongs with only a couple of top less old ladys; but the one nearest the town center is full of the younger crowd. Be advised you'll need to put eye guards on your husband if he goes!

The beach was shingle but clean. I suppose the entertainment at night would be fine if you liked clubbing but when you have 2 kids with you it is pretty dire! Oh and if you are going with kids, word of warning, 80% of shops have something pornagrafic at their eye level.

The fenals area of Lloret has shops, bars, restaurants and a crazy golf. However, having a 16month old son there was nothing to really keep him entertained around the resort area. The beach was shingle and always clean but constantly very busy. Lloret itself is very busy after about 10pm particularly - ideal if you are young and looking to drink and dance the night away. There are lots of shops and restaurants but felt that every shop in every street was the same. Had trouble finding somewhere to eat lunch in Lloret and one restaurant owner very honestly told us that we would not like their food as they catered more for the Dutch. On the occasions that we did walk into Lloret there was always a cleaner about sweeping up the streets. We were happy to be staying in the Fenals area and not Lloret although neither places would be top of the list for my next holiday.

Lloret de Mar is a good resort with something for everyone. My first impression was that it was like a European Blackpool, but when you take the time to have a good look around it's actually really nice.
There are some big discos doing foam parties etc, there are some big arcades (very much like Blackpool), there are Burger Kings and McDonalds and there are streets and streets of shops. A lot of shops just sell the usual tack - keyrings, ashtrays, fridge-magnets etc, but there are some lovely shops if you want to take home something a little bit different, especially shoes and leather stuff. There's plenty of little restaurants and bars everywhere.
We went on a glass-bottom boat trip which went up the coast to Tossa de Mar and back again. We were out for an hour and it only cost 8 euros for adults and children are free! Even my son, who's nearly 15, didn't have to pay! There are several different boat trips available, some are out all day and include drinks and a meal, some stop at different resorts along the coast. You book the one you want from the little booths on the promenade. We also went on the little road-train which goes up into the hills to a settlement from 300BC, and another one which takes you round the back of the resort and into the Fenals area, again, you buy tickets for these "trains" on the promenade.
Lloret is a very "noisy" resort. Our hotel was across the road from the main bus station / taxi-rank and we were disturbed most nights by youths making their way home from the discos between 3-6am. It was also very hot and sticky while we were there, we were dripping with sweat for most of the week, and a few people with occasional mild asthma had to buy inhalers from the chemist. We usually go to the Canaries, so we are used to a much fresher, drier kind of heat.
I have seen a few comments on some of the holiday forums about Lloret being full of German / Dutch / Danish people. I actually found that there were more Spanish people there than anyone else. Some of the Spanish holidaymakers were extremely arrogant and disrespectful, we had a few problems with Spanish guests in our hotel, but the hotel staff and Spanish/Catalan staff in the bars and shops are lovely people as long as you are polite and respectful to them.
There is a big waterpark at the back of the resort with a free bus from the bus station. We didn't go to the waterpark, but apparently there were huge queues for some of the bigger slides. There is also a free bus to Marineland which is a waterpark that also has dolphin shows, parrot shows and a mini-zoo. There is a go-kart place at the back of the resort too.
We had a nice holiday, but on the whole we prefer the Canaries and will stick to Lanzarote/Tenerife in future!
