The hotel is placed literally 25 yards from a course sandy beach which is hard on bare feet. There are plenty of bars and cafes in this small resort. There are market days in the area every day of the week. Friday immediately outside the hotel. Tuesday Santa Susanna, (short train ride 2.70 euros return-1 station away). The trains can seem off putting running alongside the road between beach & road, don't worry about it after first day you get used to it and theyr'e not noisy. Good thing is they are handy for trip to Barcelona (15euros return). We will be going back.

Enjoyed the beach and the sea was brill,no problem with salesmen and the like. The trip on the nearby train to Barcelona was a bit of a waste of time as the staff hardly spoke any English although I got by on my little Spanish, the train was stopped a station or two before our destination and where left stranded not knowing where to go but managed to direct ourselves to the shopping centre although getting about with a pram was a nightmare (steps everywhere)Coming back the train stopped again and we had to change platforms with no info until I asked a station Policeman so nil poi for train travel!
Town centre was near as where local shops/supermarket which was a God send at times and the locals where friendly.Had a lovely drink and ice cream at one of the street cafes in Town and not expensive as thought it would be.

We were impressed with Pineda, everywhere was spotless. The beach front is lovely & goes on for miles, it has seats spaced along & some trees for shade also. There are beach bars if you want a drink & the usual pedaloes etc. The train station is handy & you can go as far as Blanes in one direction passing Santa Susanna & Malgrat, & to Calella & on to Barcelona in the other way. We would definately go back to this resort again

the beach is dangerous. there is a trench dug far too deep running the whole length of pineda and calella. there's not a hope in hell of even paddling in it as if you walk 2mtrs in the water would reach up to your neck. its a clean beach but stay away from the water. its a nice quiet resort with a couple of good english pubs (buccaneer). i go here because of the hotel and quiet area.

Not much to do the shops all on one street and cash machines difficult to find I prefer Callela and llorett for shopping.

All around us were lots of dogs which means dog mess (everywhere). A few shops around but nothing special.
They have a big market on fridays along the sea front.

Quite a quiet resort.

I like the Brava, as its only 2 1/2 hours from England. Pineda was well kept, clean and tidy, no problems. Beach was grainy rather than sandy, but didn't put us off. public transport was excellent, except the bustrain" between Pineda and Calella, poor time keeping.

Busy but not too much. Very flat good for my friend who has breathing difficulties.Lovey local atmophere, and outdoor entertainment and bars.Close to all the ammenities next to a lovely church, but you have to like the sound of the bells chiming.

We love this area of Spain not too commercialised and not too rustic.
Beach and sea front very clean and tidy and good areas for beach sports, volleyball and football.
