The 2 resorts - Santa Susanna and Malgret de Mar are very clean you walk from one end to the other along the promenade. In the mornings there are street cleaners out or else the shopkeepers clean their own little areas.
We found Malgret de Mar to be better especially Champions Bar - 2 drinks for the price of 1 and Pub Eureka for meals. Be very careful of Juan the owner as he likes to play a practical joke or 2 on you as you enjoy your meal.Pub Eureka was very good value for money Few drinks with meal, main meal (normally steak or chicken), dessert and coffee for 2 people for under £20.00. The shops in themselves are quite fun as you haggle with the owners over what you would like to pay. We nicknamed it the 6 Euro resort as a lot of gifts etc were under 6 Euros.
The beach stretchs for ever but it is very shingley and drops off quite quickly when you are in the water.
I definitely would try this resort again as I did enjoy myself.

the actual town centre was clean but should you venture off the main street then you are faced with litter and graffiti, there is a lot of bar touts on the streets on a night which can be a little off putting and sex is advertised in most shops which with kids of 10 and 8 poses a lot of awkward questions,we were there during august which proved a good point for entertainment as there feast was on and there was different stalls and attractions to view.
the beach was on a whole clean although the shingle sand did hurt young feet
ive been to blanes/loret/tossa de mar/callela but i dont think i would reccomend santa sussana to my friends as i have with the others

The promenade is always clean and tidy and even the remnants of market day are dealt with immediately. The beach is cleaned each night and the beach bars provide a wide choice of hot and cold snacks during the day.
There is not much in the way of night clubs but there are plenty of bars(English too if you want them) where we have always been welcomed and have enjoyed many a long and happy evening.I will definitely go back to Santa Susanna.

The resort is Santa Susanna. There is a beach and a train station which are the only things that kept us there for a week. Other than visiting other resorts we would have been on the next flight home. I'm sorry to say the Resort is also very disappointing. :-(

Santa Susanna is a very nice quiet resort. It is an extremely clean and friendly resort. The beach is not sand but fine shail, but nether the less enjoyable. There are plenty of shops in the resort selling everything from groceries to jewelery. The local people are very friendly and helpfull. The local transport is clean and efficient(and on time !!!). For those wanting something a little more busy or livelier then a 30 minute walk down the road there is Malgrat. This is definately an excellent resort for a family holiday.

Ok I'll sum the resort in a few words. There is absolutely nothing in this resort. There is a train station about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. From here you can visit other resorts eg Lloret de Mar (which is excellent), Blanes and Tossa de Mar, not to mention Barcelona. Catching the train to Barcelona was the best part of the holiday as we were so relieved to have some shopping and sight seeing to do. One of the only good points of this resort is the beach. But its not enough to satisfy my idea of a good holiday.

The resort was fantastic and lively. There are clubs everywhere, but still its a great place. Especialy in June when there are festivals on. The fireworks are brilliant.
I would definitly go back again.
