Resort itself is very nice but it is about 10 min walk to town but there are mini trains which take you form outside the hotel.
There are plenty of gift shops, bars & places to eat.
There are free buses in the town to a water park in Lloret & the train station is also in the town.
Didn`t go to beach as we were told the sand was quite course but overall the resort is very nice & would visit again.

The resort of Santa Sussana is small but clean with plenty of gift shops to visit.
There were some pubs and restaurants to visit but was much quieter than Malgrat the next resort along.
There seemed to always be plenty of beach space although the sea was a little cold.

Fantastic!
Nightlife was great with a really good club QK, open till 6am and pleanty of lovely restaurants.
Beach was nice but sand is quite gravely and gets very hot!
Brilliant place to visit with good transport to other resorts and a good train station so you can get to places like Barcelona.
Definiatley going again.

Santa Sussana is quiet but if you walk up to the promenade you can find the bars and clubs. Soap fans can get there fix at the Rovers Return pub. It also sells English beers (and English food if you want).
The trains ran every 30 mins and the journey to Barcelona was cheap end enjoyable, the railway follows the coast so you get excellent views on the way in. A visit to Barcelona is well worth while, especially to see the living statues.
I travelled from Liverpool airport to Gerona via Ryan Air. My first budget airline; I was impressed with the system. You are not allocated seats, just a number; lower numbers get to board first. You take what ever seats you want. The process is fast and gets people on board much faster, though as usual some people try to get a row on there own by pretending that the other seats are occupied. It did not work as the plane was full. The price of the food on board is similar to other airlines, but not as extortionate as the airport; my recommendation is eat before getting to the airport and take your own snacks on the flight. Baggage handling at Gerona was excellent, the bags waiting at reclaim as you walked in.
I hired a car and picked it up at the airport, again well worth while, we toured the resorts and markets and found many places of interest. This does not work out much more expensive than booking a taxi transfer but gives far more options when in the resort.
The Beach is on the otherside of the train track from the hotels and promenade, a bit of a chore to get there but worth the walk as it was clean.

We stayed in Fuengirola lot of places closed, all bars along the front.
We were stoped a lot giving you scratch cards to say you have won money, camcorder or holiday, don't fall for it it's a scam

The resort is clean and well kept, but the sea was rather rough and children would need to be supervised closely.

The resort I didn’t think was that nice, it did look a little scruffy, but out of the entire resorts close by, I would say that Santa Susanna was the nicest one.
The resort entertainment was good, with quite a few things to do there.
As for the beach, that's beautiful and very clean.
Personally I wouldn’t go back to the resort of Santa Susanna

Santa Susanna was absolutely beautiful. It was very clean and pleanty of market stalls amd shops.
The Beach was ok but it is a shingle beach. The sea was lovely and warm but quite rough.
You can walk from Santa Susanna to Malgarat and it is a lovely walk.
You have got the train station close to the centre and trains run about 20 minutes. So if you want to jump on a train to go somewhere else you do not have to wait for long and very cheap for a return ticket.

Very boring, not much to do, lots of cheap and nasty souvenir shops, lots of nice looking hotels with better entertainment!!

I would come back to the resort but only in the height of summer as in October there was not a lot going on.
You are about an hour from Barcelona which is recommended. We went twice. The local markets were ok. The resort was very clean. Although I would only have a 1 week holiday here.
