The better rooms are over looking the pool or beach. Do not get a room overlooking the function room

Worth paying the sea view supplement as you get a fantastic view from your own private balcony.

Nerja is a small Spanish town with lots of small beaches. It has many bars and restaurants, serving good food.
Close to the beach there is a lot of graffiti.

Found nice little English "sweets & paper" shop near Balcon, the staff were superb! The fair and fireworks in Nerja were great.

Nerja is a fabulous place, i have been twice now and am already booked up again to go back next year. It's a quiet, friendly place unlike many other resorts along the Costa del Sol. It's a very family orientated resort so if you're looking for clubs etc, look elsewhere. It has a great choice of places to eat, and you wont be disappointed. The bacon De Europa is Nerja's main attraction and is wonderful by night when it is all lit up. The beaches are wonderful and clean, although not sandy, they are still great fun. The water is crystal clear and very clean too. The Nerja caves are a 10 minute bus journey away and i would recommend anyone to go see them.
Nerja is a fabulous place, it's not too big either, you can easily get around the main town area, and back to your hotel/appartment within 15 mins of walking no matter what side of the town you are staying on. It's a place i could easily see myself moving to, would save a fortune on my summer holidays!!

A really good place to wander round at night, lots of places to eat or have a drink and very friendly. It is hilly so not for the less mobile but taxis are not too dear and there is plenty to see round and about such as the caves and some of the small villages. overall its not for the ravers or party crowd but very good.

Liked Nerja very much. We stayed near Burriana Beach where there were plenty of bars and restaurants open even in March. The beach restaurants only opened in the day. Can highly recommend Dancers Bar, Bakers Bar and The Codfather. Had a trip on the little train, which leaves Plaza Cavana. Lovely views from The Balcon de Europa. We would definitely return to this resort.

This was our 3rd visit to Nerja and we were a bit disapointed this time - increase in Dog dirt, names spray-painted on walls and generally the Town looked a bit grubby.
The cats are taking over the Balcon and beach - they really should do something about them - we watched a couple of cat's 'have a dump' on the beach and then bury the evidence - nice surprise for somebody .
We will return to Nerja but not for a couple of years.

we found the resort to be very clean, every morning there were roadsweepers hard at work sweeping up leaves etc.
We visited the balcon and were entertained o0n several nights with great dancers.
There was a small train that you done a tour on for 3 euros 50 cents. Or you could have the horse and cart ride at 25 euros. plenty of great places to eat ,
the birrianie beach was by far the best beach in Nerja were you could sample the local Paella for 9 euros each well worth the try.
We will definatley visit this resort again.

Well wasn't a great holiday was there for a week... When we arrived to get a coach we was waiting for nearly two hours on the coach and then when we finaly got their the hotel had made a mistake a book a double bed when we asked for a single... We arrived on monday morning and half the day was wasted. Had a stroll down to the beach wich is very down hill. Is not a slight incline is a hike!
On tuesday we went to the meeting where we got a free drink... Orange. And the rep told us all about the trips they wern't very sellable but she shoved them down your throats we decided to book 3 trips and two of wich were a disaster. The entertainment on Tuesday night was Sasha and she was realy good i thought fantastic voice great with all ages..
On wednesday headed up to Granadad wich i thought was a good trip out and the Alambra was a great site... Watch out for the tour guide though in her seventys and doesn't stop going on about flowers..
On thursday we did the Nerja Highlights tour and at arriving at the town of figliana we were not warned that the floors were slippy and my dad fell and fractured his arm. Although everyone found it quite amusing we were not guided to go anyway and were left till the end to be dealt with.. We then headed to the caves and we were left there for an hour to go around and had been in 10 minutes and left. Also when we went to the marine we got 15 minutes not even enough time for a drink..
Friday was a relaxing day by the pool and by the beach... Great craic there lots of nice people all chatty and friendly... Also it's great for all ages i'd say although no childrens group has a pool table and table tennis board..
On friday night we had booked to go the Malaga Feria we arived there at 10 ish and were told to be back at 1.30 as the coach was leaving between 1.45-2.00. We looked around and killed time for a while then headed back and arrived at the pick up point at 01.35 and the coach had gone.. We were left to get a taxi back that cost 70 euros... In the morning we confronted the rep Tanya who's fault it was. She didn't have a clue what she was doing and was all over the place. Th worst rep i've met. She offerd half of the taxi fare but we declinded and have issued a formal complaint...
So overall i'd say a great holiday and met some great people.... Won't be going back! My advice though if you're going to the Villa Flamenca then plan trips yourself and don't do them with thompson
