The beach was great! not the cleanest ( some litter not a huge amount, but no one working / tidying, the litter bins weren't cleared reguarly, and yes I know it's down to the people on the beach ) very small tidal movement and a nice shallow drop into the sea which made paddling with the little ones easy.
The water park is excellent but don't go there if it's a cool day or raining , we managed to pick a day of both rain and chilly temps which ruined it for us as the kids after 20 mins in the non heated water were very cold and ready to leave, we hung it out for a couple of hours and made the most of the older teen groups enjoying the rides.
Our biggest hate of the resort were the endless scores of hair braiders, sunglass handbag belt wallet sellers. It was really out of order, the beach should be a relaxing place and it was like sitting in a busy market, not to mention every 5 mins being offered a massage!! The hair braiding ladies were I believe very rude, if unsucessfull the language was apalling and if I could of found somewhere to complain I would of. It's not just one or two of the ladies they are all rude!!
Salou it's self is worth a visit but a morning was more than enough for us, and I guess if your'e staying in le pineda then you'd probaly agree.

La Pineda is a lovely resort and very clean. Great for families. Cant comment on resort entertainment as we didn't leave the hotel on an evening but did find a lovely friendly irish bar called Hennessy's. The beach is really nice and well signposted which areas are safe and which are not.

When we arrived the beach looked lovely. However after the extreme storms most of it had washed away. They were working very hard before we left to bring it back up to standard. The shops were very local to hotel complex stocking a wide selection of goods including English newspapers.There are a couple of English run bars on the front where the staff were very friendly.

La Pineda is much quieter and better than Salou or Cap Salou. The beach is clean and has a grassy area as you approach the promenade.

There is hardy any night entainment and what there is it does not start till late. The beach is nice but not a lot on offer apart from that. There are english bars and food places which are also good.

La Pineda has quite a good beach but is spoiled by the oil refinery at one end. Everything shut in October when we went. A few really scruffy residential apartment blocks which we were informed by locals that drug dealers and prostitutes that worked Tarragonna lived there. Areay water park looked ok.

La Pineda is very quiet with very little to do. It looks nice enough but it was the little things that made it look dirty. Chewing Gum groung into the walk tiles. Grafitti sprayed on the walls. The beach was good enough and the kids enjoyed it.The water park in La Pineda is also a great day out. It was nice enough, but would have prefered if it was more busy.

la pineda is a nice place to go its clean and has some good nightclubs and restaurants on the beach front,its a very quiet place with only a handful of bars shops and restaurant, its not far away from salou and has a good bus service but be prepared to stand up as the buses get busy.iv been to salou 3 times before and loved the place but after visiting this year i would never return as its gone dirty, we visited the waterpark in la pineda twice its an good day out and the children loved it we also got a 2week pass to portadventura which is a must its amazing and the halloween theme was excellent, we visited 4times n passed our tickets on to some people in the hotel

Pineda about 20 min walk for local bars restaurants.
There is a water park there which is great,they have a dolphin show as well and you can also interact with the sealions for 45 euros.
Fantastic beach.We tended to go a bit further down the beach where the sea was a bit calmer.You can get sunbeds there and also a sun canopy if you want one.
