I have to say that after all the bad reviews i'd read I'm so glad I didn't cancel my holiday!
We had a fab time and since we hadn't booked 5* accommodation we knew not to expect it!!
The rooms were fine, clean and with plenty of room.
I should say though I made sure we got a sea view room and for us that made all the difference!
I like my creature comforts like most people and for me the apartment was fine.
As for the staff, we couldn't fault them! and for anyone to say their English isn't very good should try speaking spanish!!!
The location was also perfect because although the hotel next door had a load disco that went on til midnight, the area was quiet and low key.
You couldn't get a place closer to a little private beach either which was another plus.
At the end of the day I found it to be excellent value for money and I'm def. Going back next year!!

Albatross was great we loved it there definitely go there again.
Plenty for kids to do not just for adults after reading the reports we weren't very happy on going to Albatross but obviously now we are glad we didn

this was the best holiday we had in years.staff very friendly .we had a two bed appartment which had two bathrooms and shower which was handy there being six of us.entertainment was good.we felt like we were home from home.cant wait to go back.the food in big al,s bar was amazing.could not fault any meal we ate and reasonably priced too.bar staff very pleasant also.i cannot speak highly enough of this hotel.did not want to go home.L Parkins.

This was the worst apartment I have ever stayed in. The decor is so dated, and you only have one cupboard to hand your clothes in. I was told that the apartments have recently had a revamp, but I couldn't see where!
I must say everywhere was clean apart from the most important area, the kitchen!
Need I say I will not be returning to the Albtrash apartments again!!!!

We Booked This holiday at the last minute.I must say this
has to be the worse apartments that we have ever stayed in.
The room we where given was dirty and smelly. We ate out every day because the cooker was faulty. The room was right over the disco and pool area.
The location is not to bad if you are able bodied,its a bit of a treck up hill.The staff are helpfull but speak little english.
One last thing there is a deposit to pay also if you need a childs cot you have to pay extra. Over all We would return to Salou but not at these apartments. The room we had was that bad that other people we met where asking to have a look round.

The hotel was a really enjoyable place to stay.
We were made to feel very welcome by hotel staff.
The two rooms we had were very comfortable and had a nice stay, there were beautiful sea views from our balcony. There was also a view of and old lady that went rooting through the bins outside at 8am every morning.
The hotel supermarket has everything the you would require and at reasonable prices too.
The evening entertainment was always fantastic all the staff at big al's were really nice and friendly.
There is also a posh resteraunt on the basement level which we found amazing.
The only downside to the hotel is that it is on the top of a hill so if you have difficulty walking that is the only downside to it.

We stayed at the Albatros in July 2004 on a friends holiday for a week.We found the accomodation to be clean, the maid service sufficient visiting everyday with fresh laundry! Reception Staff quite accomodating and helpful, but poor English! The food in Big Al's Bistro of a good quality,cheap and large portions, good value!The decor of the building left something to be desired, looke liked the set of 'Sum Mothers do Ave Em!! But would return to the accomodation in the future and had an enjoyable stay, hopefully the decor would have improved by then!!!!!

The hotel looked a nice hotel in the holiday book but when we got there our views changed, the hotel was clean but they dont change your bed sheets for the whole stay that your there.
The good thing about the hotel was the food the restaurant down stairs did good english food and for a good price, plus the food off site was nice aswell.
The hotel location wasnt to bad but it would of being better a bit further down the hill towards the beach,the staff were polite but you could see they didnt know how to do there job right.
The entertainment was fantastic they had different shows on in the evening and quiz games plus the dj stayed on till quite late.
No i wouldnt visit this hotel again i would have to try one thats more nearer to the beach, plus i didnt agree on the 80 pounds that we had to pay as we arrived to the hotel for breakages.

Looks like that our two studios have had a complete overhaul.
the beds were new and were divans.
New 4 ring full cooker and a new fridge.
All the utensils appeared to be brand new.
The views from the balconies were outstanding.

after hearing bad reviews online of the albatros we were a little bit aprehensive about going there. There was no need the appartments have just had a million euro redecoration. Everything was spotless, and the rooms were well spaced and planed out. Down stairs there is a bistro which sells fairly priced english food and has a different special everyday for a bout 5 euros. there is entertainment every night which is good for young families (parrot shows ect.) but as its is only a short walk to salou there is plenty of other things to do. The pool is rather deep but there is a childrens section , so i would advise families with young children to bring arm bands ect. We didnt spend much time in the pool tho, as there are two fairly secluded beaches less than 5 minutes walk away. We would definatly return here
