I thought that the apartments on the whole were good. We stayed in a studio apartment which was very small. No table to eat at and a tiny kitchen but I did have an oven as well a 2 gas rings. Had a large balcony with table and chairs which made up for the one lacking in the room and a large sun canopy to keep the sun out if needed. They were very clean and the maids came round around 3 times a week.
The Thomson reps were great as the second week 3 members of the family came down chickenpocks and had to stay in isolation for the remainder of the holiday. They couldn't do enough for us they bought the kids round games fun packs pens paper etc they could not have been better!
The restaurant was good and cheap great value for money.
The pool was good with a baby pool at the end.
I would definitely return to the Albatross again

I wouldnt visit this hotel again as when we arrived we had to pay a deposit which we were'nt told about and when we got to our hotel room the electrics were very poor we plugged the kettle in and water was coming out of the bottom and it fused the apartment.
The staff well I couldnt fault them they were brill it was a long walk to the town and such a big hill which we wasnt told about.
I wouldnt go there as a family again but maybe if it was just the two of us.

The worst hotel I have ever been in.
Absolutely appalled that a "reputable" holiday firm Thompson would put their name to this.
We demmanded to be moved, but had to stick it for a week, the had to pay to be moved!
I had an electric shock from a light switch which made the kids terrified to touch any point.
Balcony shutters would only open half way so we had to duck to go out there.
One little fan supplied, no a/c.
Fridge/freezer was unusable. Freezer was so full of ice you could put nothing in there and the fridge door would not keep closed unless you placed a chair there to keep it closed. (And it was very dirty)
Bedlinen not chnaged for your entire stay.
pull put bed would regulary collapse in the night.
Studio looked liked it had last been decorated in 1960 and possibly was the last time that anyone had properly cleaned it.
Lamp plug has wires coming out of it.
Children (on their first Spanish holiday) aged 9 and 6 spent most of the first few days crying and wanting to come home. As did we.
I cried for hours that first evening ( even before I had an electric shock from light switch, which made me want to walk home) unable to believe that a holiday company could put valued customers in such a room. It was beyond belief. Horrific.

we stayed in albatros apartments in june 2003 and we were disgusted in the state of these apartments they were very old fashioned, bathroom had tiles missing on the wall with big holes behind them, which housed the local cocroaches, there were cats roaming around all day and night doing ther business where the children would play on a daytime, the cooker was very dirty and not fit to cook on,the fridge had that much ice in it you couldnt shut the door properly, the pully out bed was also dirty the youngest child refused to sleep in it ,so i had to share my grotty single bed with my son.the best thing about these apartments is that they have been refurbished for 2005.i hope its made a big improvement as the pool and the bistro were ok.

we stayed at the albatros apartments in salou. we stayed for two weeks and must say that it is the best holiday so far. we really enjoyed the atmosphere, the location was ideal 3 minutes to beach although down a large amount of steps.the town was within 10 minutes walking distance but buses are regular. big als bistro was great with a different variety of entertainment but we were always made welcome.rooms were a bit dated but clean and maid service was also regular.the children really enjoyed themselves and made lots of friends whom they keep in touch with. we would definately return and hope to do so soon. i would recommend these apartments to families who want to be near the resort, beaches and universal medittereania theme park which is brilliant.

The only thing really I can say about the apartments is it is need of a decoration up date very out date decor. But it was clean and at the end of the day all you're really there is for a holiday not for ever so can put the decor to back of you're mind.
The staff were ok as was the food.
