This superb hotel is just a short walk from the beach and a good variety of shops, restaurants and bars. Located close to Port Aventura theme park, this is an ideal choice for a fun-packed family holiday.

Hello i stayed at Europa Park hotel with my mum,dad and 2 sisters. The entertainment was to old fashioned and boring and the food was disgusting. It was all 4 the germans and the french. My mum and dad must of spent a fortune on eating at restaurants. In the dining room one morning a little boy was sick all over the dining room because of the amount of rubbish they served.

We went to this hotel sept/oct 2002 for a week,we booked it last 3/4 weeks before. It is a lovely hotel, pool area is very nice didn't have too much of a problem getting a sun lounger although they don't get unlocked until 9.30am.
The food was the worst I have had abroad, with it being part of the H10 chain we thought the food would be of a better quality. There was a lot of french ,germans staying so maybe the food was more geared up for them.We ate out a few times at Buddies across the road, the food was excellant, massive portions.
Thought the hotel was in a great position within walking distance to beach, shops, market and Port Aventura (which is a must,it was brilliant and hardly any queues when we were there.)
Would definately go back to Salou and stay in the same area but would look for self catering accomodation

We got a last minute deal and headed off the next week. Our hotel was basic and the food was nothing special, but had everything we needed, including air conditioning.

The resort is beautiful by day and the beach was crammed with young people, so I would advise famlies to stay by the pool instead. Even though we went outside the main two month holiday time, the weather was brilliant and the resort was in full swing.

The nightlife was the best part of the holiday. At first we thought the resort was quiet, and could only see a couple of bars, however a 5 minute walk to the centre of the town revealed the nightlife, with bustling streets, and loads of busy clubs and discobars, the vast majority of which were free to get into, and offers free drinks, shots and T-shirts once you are inside. Depending on what you like in a club/bar, you will be able to find something to suit your taste, although they don't really liven up until 10.30 - 11 pm. Crocs opens late, stays open to 6am, and is popular with the British people who are working in the bars over there, Snoepys plays dance music and has podium dancers, Kiss plays more chart music and is open to under 16s until 11pm. There are various other discobars and bars throughout the resort, if you're anything like us, you'll find your favourite, and pop in at least once every night.

If you travel with Airtours, and are under 35, I would strongly recommend the pub crawl that the reps organise. It was the best night out we had the whole time and made loads of friend who we met up with every night afterwards

The Hotel Europa Park was very central, within easy walking distance of all the places which you would want to visit (restaurants, bars, shops, Port Aventura theme park, beach and supermarkets) but would definitely be more suited to families due to its quiet location and older clientele.

Port Aventura is very good, although it wouldn't compare to Universal Studios Theme Park or any of the Disney ones. Some people took two days to do it, but if you go early and strategically plan the day (ie do the main attractions first thing in the morning) you wil get it all done in a day. One piece of advice - do the water rides last thing before you leave or else take a change of clothes and leave them somewhere dry as on the water rides YOU WILL GET WET!!

All in all we had a great time and I would recommend Salou and this hotel, although don't stay half board as we did, because the evening meal was the same every night and we rarely made it to breakfast!
