I have just returned from Hotel Molinos and have to say that I had a very enjoyable holiday albeit short. We spent 3 days here and would definately recommend it for a short break. Perhaps its something to do with the time of year, but there were definately no smells iminating from reception/bar.

Everything was a bit dated but kept spotless. The rooms were big enough with good enough views. The food was the usual 3* all-inc, which as in any hotel, after a few days, starts to taste a bit bland. They had a good variety in the afternoon and evenings but breakfast was the same throughout our stay. I had no complaints regarding the food whatsoever, i have been to 4* and had worse.

The staff were kept constantly busy which may account for them appearing to be rude. I found that once they had a chance to assist me, they were very helpful and polite.

The location of this hotel would be my only complaint, it was a 6euro taxi ride away for anyone wishing to purchase tobacco, shopping or go out for a bit of nightlife.

Overall we had a really good short break in this hotel and the children loved it.

We visited the Molinos Park hotel the same time last year and could not believe the bad reports we read about the hotel as we found no problems at all, but unfortunately this year we asked lots of people to join us and boy were we embarrassed when we arrived with our guests.

When we got off of the coach and walked into the lobby the first thing every one said was "what

All inclusive... you have got to be kidding! 4 adults and 1 child and believe me, we had been made aware after booking, that the food was possibly bland etc but that doesn't begin to cover it.

Cold, leftovers re-heated and then re-heated again for the next meal, very little choice and forced to eat out 5nights out of 7.

We were under the impression that sometimes with holidays there is just no pleasing people and that surely if you just went with an open mind and made the best of things then you would be OK, however, this proved futile on arrival at Molinos Park!

The stench of sickness and sour water hit us as soon as we took 2 steps through the hotel doors. The hotel bar was over run with drunk people, spillages, kids running riot and parents doing nothing about it. ( I have a lively 9 year old and even he hated it).

The entertainment was a complete joke, completely inappropriate remarks made constantly in front of children, prized again in front of children for more drink - hello, it was a free bar!

The music and microphone were so loud that you couldn't even hear what the girl was saying anyway and you couldnt have a conversation with anyone in your group without screaming at the top of your voice.

There were reports that this hotel had undergone some major refurbishment in the past year, let us assure you this is most definitely not the case. Its a nice looking hotel and the bar staff tried unlike the entertainment programme. The police were called to break up a fight on the Thur night, 10 of them wielding batons in front of children over 1 drunk man hitting a completely innocent man in front of his wife and 2 young sons. (The underage teenagers falling about completely drunk out front must have completely escaped their attention!)

Everybody complained and moaned about the same things, worst the awful food and the horrendous smell.

The owners could have a totally different hotel on their hands if some money was put into fixing these two things.

We had to phone for towels once and the maids hardly cleaned, its a quick half-mop over and the same dirty bed sheets straightened out (we never had clean sheets in any of the two rooms' 5 beds in a whole week).

This hotel is in the quieter resort of cap-Salou and the only good thing was a beach 2mims away and a bus stop 1 min down the road taking you into Salou or Portaventura which runs every 15minutes - thank goodness!!!

Would never recommend this hotel to anyone in its present state. Only reason I gave it 1 out of 5 was because this service didn't offer a 0. Hate to sound so miserable as outside the hotel we loved Salou and the other places we ate, but this hotel should be closed for some serious overhauls and a new chef and meat buyer appointed to save all customers running for the toilet every half an hour.

A real disaster and complete waste of money!

Bedroom clean, bed linen changed once, towels replaced 3 time during the week, beds very hard and mine tipped when sitting on the edge.

Bathroom clean but very smelly [drains?], very dated fittings. corridors stairs and lifts clean, some litter and spillages from guests in public areas.

Bar area in need of major clean, furniture very rickety.
Dining room clean, tables cleared swiftly. food reasonable some variety in food selection. snacks could be better.

Location of hotel in our opinion, was in a much hillier position than described within any brochure.

Hotel staff in the main were helpful and pleasant.
entertainment was on too late of an evening, and repetitive except for the main acts. Day time entertainment was poor, although the weather did not help.

Would not visit this hotel again because of the hilly location and smelly bathroom. Although all in all a very cheap budget holiday.

Just returned home from the Molinos Park.

Not all bad. The hotel is in a lovely location, about 10 mins. On the bus to Salou.It was very noisy at night.

Entertainment for children was hopeless. The food was very bland and basic. We went down the road for a meal on the last night and what a difference!

The staff in the hotel were very good and understood English well. There is a lovely beach just down the road. The village is small and friendly. We used the buses and the little train regularly from outside the hotel.

The pool area outside was clean but there was a lack of sunbeds, plenty of chairs and tables though. The lifeguard was a joke and hardly got out of his seat, only to get his lunch.

* Hotel was nice looking

* Food was basic - (every night chips, salad & pasta)

* Rats near pool area

* Bedroom - full of ants complained - reply ourfault for taking food to our room (that was not why)

* Entertainment was good if you like BINGO twice a day

Will not stop in this hotel again, I think environmental health should pay a visit

The bad points.
1 the noise at night.
2 the amount of people that get drunk.
3 the walls are paper thin.
4 the food is repetitive.
5 towards the end of the afternoon some areas become scruffy with litter and beakers.
6 all you get drinks in is plastic beakers.
7 lack of knives in the resturant.
8 the air conditioning in your room is on a timer from 2pm till 2am the you roast if your room is on the sunnny side in the mornings.
9 hit and miss weather you get towels and toilet rolls.
10 sometimes the hot water in the showers stops.

good points.

1 adult only area if you want a peaceful afternoon with jacuzzi's and sunbeds.
2 staff very friendly.
3 98% english occupancy.
4 food good quality.
5 good snack bar in the afternnons.
6 rooms adiquate and clean.
7 childrens entertainers are english.

I don't think we will visit this hotel again, we have been all inclusive for many years now but because all our children don't holiday with us any more we will probably go self catering for the variety of eating in different places and doing your own thing.
If you have children this place will probably suit your requirements, this is not a quiet holiday, but for outgoing families this is your place.

The hotel itself was nice and clean we found after reading all the bad reports the hotel cleaners where there everyday changing the bedding and cleaning the room.

Reception was helpful and polite only got annoyed at the ignorant teenagers who was shouting and swearing the whole holiday they had no respect for anyone there parents just sat back and watched them insulting people.

Food was fine apart from teenagers again taking over the dining room swearing and throwing food. Entertainment was ok. Girls worked hard and there was a few goods night shows again.

The pool was ok a bit small for how many people was there to many tables and chairs not enough room for sunbeds but again teenagers got in the pool and insulted people screaming and swearing.

Overall a good holiday apart from people who can not control there teenage children I would not go back there for that simple fact.

I am a mother of three kids and mine are no saints but they was a nightmare.

When we got to the hotel we were surprised after all the bad reports we read it was very clean.

The rooms were spotless and clean the only problem was the thin walls you could hear everything next door.

The food was ok but not much choice there was never any knifes to eat your meal with but staff friendly.

Entertainment ok girls friendly enough. The only problem we had with our holiday was the disgusting dirty mouthed teenagers what seemed to do what they pleased why their parents just sat back drinking and laughing at what they did whenever it was taking the piss out of people or swearing and shouting round the hotel they didnt care until it stops and the hotel get a bit strict.

It will ruin everything for the hotel thats are only complaint

We booked our holiday before reading the reports and we were a bit worried because of all the bad things we read, but when we got there it was nothing like people were making it out to be.

I must say that the staff were absolutely first class they were always willing to help and spoke good English, the bar staff were always very quick to serve you and very friendly.

The cleaners always had our room spotless apart from the second last day when the left us the same towels as the day before but we phoned reception and they brought clean ones up(after two phone calls) but apart from that the room was always clean.

The location of the hotel was good, there was a bus stop right outside the hotel which you in too salou and Barcelona. It only took 10 mins to get in to Salou. At the hotel there was also a supermarket just round the corner and shops, bars and a little disco just down the road.

The food was ok always something that we liked, was a buffet style and different every night. You only get what you pay for.

The entertainment I thought wasn't so good, it was so loud at night you couldn't even have a conversation! I think they also had just the one CD. Some of the shows though were really good, like the fire eater. It was good for children though, and they all seemed to enjoy it.
There was somethings in other reports that were true like there was a fight one night and the police had to be called, the walls were really thin but how often are you in your room...

Overall we had a good holiday and would go back hope this helps.
