Location
Our room had flaking paint on ceiling and walls. We had one towel for three of us ( even after complaining we didnt get more and told it was cheap hotel by the manager !!! )
It certainly was....... Most of the other guests adults and children drank and drank and drank some more. This resulted in fights etc on several occasions.
We ate in the restaurant but the food was very very basic and bearly warm. There was a microwave on hand but when i checked it, it hadnt been cleaned for months!
Our room had three single beds in and even only with 2 it would have been a squeeze but three was silly!
The cleaners came and made beds in a round about way but NEVER swept the floor and bedding was only changed on night 4 of a four night stay??
If you want a slum visit at your peril, i wouldnt expect a dog to stay in these conditions let alone people with children. Avoid avoid avoid!

Location wise the beach was a tiny and quite steep to get to not ideal for a pushchair. There was a empty bar just a stroll away which was ok, but nothing else around apart from afew hotels and a supermarket!
It wasn't til later on the night we realised what we had let ourselves in for..!
The bar in the hotel was packed out every night by half eight, not an empty chair in sight. We only managed to get a table the last three nights by going to dinner in separate groups. The bar was hot and stuffy due to all the people smoking and few open windows.
Entertainment was so loud you couldn't hear them properly but did have something on all the time!
My husband and i have four month old baby so we did go to bed before eleven but we may aswell stayed out, the noise that some holiday makers were making was ridicolous. Children were let loose running up and down the stairs well into the early hours. Later in the night worse was yet to come, people were shouting, swearing, banging on doors and fighting in the corridors and outside. The police came to hotel twice at least!
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worse enemy and i definately wouldn't go back not even if someone paid me!

Food is cold, snack bar is reheated left overs we ate out most of the week.
Buses are regular to Salou but most of the time they are packed with people trying to squeeze in not good if you have a toddler and a buggy.
Bar staff are very ignorant and rude.

Bar staff are very ignorant and rude, entertainment is absolute rubbish. Hotel staff entertainers were just as bad,on 2 occasions staff entertainers got 2 teenage boys and girls to compete on who could drink the most alcohol, teenagers sat on a chair, their head tilted back, staff entertainers then stood behind them pouring a bottle of spirits into their mouth to see who could drink the most, there was 2 bottles of spirits used and finished between the 4 teenagers, bearing in mind on 1 occasion this was took place at the pool side in front of countless young children.
The noise at night is unbelievable, this goes on all night, a bit of advice to anyone that is going to this hotel, don't complain because nothing is done about it. I will never visit this hotel again.

The food we thought was really good lots of choice was very fresh and you did not have to eat chips everyday as wide range of vegs.
The pool was big and there was rooftop area for adults only which had two spas(soon to be 4, they are building these now).
The alcohol was not watered down and was full strength and no half measures. This all sounds excellent until your in your room and discover that the whole hotel is in there with you, the walls are paper thin and you here everything around you and we mean everything, when the bar closes the noise really starts. Screaming shouting banging on doors whistling loud music and even next door making babies!
It is a shame as the hotel and staff are all so nice. We came home 3 days early and everyone we spoke to all swapped rooms to try and escape noise but no peace anywhere. The people making the noise made us ashamed of being English as thats all that were staying in this hotel.

It is a lovely hotel, staff were very friendly and very helpful, the food was "Adequate", okay if you are only staying a week!
Our fist night was a NIGHTMARE, the noise was unbeleivable to say the least. The walls are paper thin and the sound of MTV all night long with screaming, shouting, signing from both sides made it impossible to get any sleep. My husband eventually had to complain at 5am to the night porter who unfortunately could not do any thing until the manager came on duty in the morning. The room also had a very overpowering smell of rotting eggs/amonia??!! It seemed to come through the air vents in great wafts!
We got moved to another room without any trouble the next morning and the rest of the holiday was a lot more peaceful throughout the night!
My real complaint would be not against the hotel or the staff as we found these very nice, but of the other holiday makers who have no respect for other people. Groups of youngsters out by the pool all day binge drinking using bad language and bad behaviour in front of families with young children is completely out of order, the "all inclusive" drinking seemed to be their main priority.
Entertainment was very poor, the 2 reps had a very cheap method of entertaining the holiday makers at the expense of the poor holidaymaker chosen to go on stage, not entertainment only embaressment at breakfast the next day!!
Would not go back to this hotel and would think twice about staying in a hotel again rather go for an appartment or private villa!

I don't know what everyone is talking about????Sick?????vomit?????? what?????
The food was lovley.....I know it sounds sad but I had pasta for lunch and dinner everyday-it was really tasty!
The hotel staff were really nice but when the computer froze the reception was well angry and I nearly shouted at him and said it wasn't my fault the computers were so chanky (rubbish)!
I really liked the bar staff....I dunno what that lady is talking about...watch you kids.......I know who you are talking about but he was really nice and evn my mum liked him....he was really friendly and good to have a laugh with.
The entertainment was a bit boring and the bingo cost 5 euros.....the entertainers voices were a bit mumbly, but they were really funny-not too sure about the striping though?????????? what was that about.
The pool was very big but it was quite deep too. The baby pool was kind of warm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The location was perfect...away from the hustle and bustle..... the beach was gorgeous, but there was jaggy thorns under the sand at some parts.
The chils park was good but you should certainly keep and eye on children though as its right next to the road!
There are small shops round about but have strange opening hours. The buses are normally every half hour on the hour.
the hotel rooms were good but the wall were paper thin. But they weren't brilliant, but yet I really enjoyed my sleep. The balconies were really good too but watch the banister it didn't seem very stable!
I only came back a couple of hours ago and I really wanna go back to see evryone! IT WAS GREAT!
I'll go back there for definate.

The hotel is kept relatively clean although the tables in the lounge do not seem to be cleaned from one days end to the next.
The food was ok for the first couple of days and rapidly went downhill. We ended up eating out some of the time. The drinks are the usual all inc. cheap stuff but the measures are very generous and the sangria is very nice.
The hotel is in a quiet location with any other bars or restaurants a 5-10 minute walk away. The small village of Cap Salou has a couple of good pubs.
Entertainment for kids is non existant. The ents team seem too keen to supply adult entertainment such as Bingo or a game involving a clothes peg - both of which cost 5euro to participate in with only about 1/8 of the money being paid out as prizes. A tip - say please and thank you to the bar staff, learn their names and plastic glasses are a thing of the past!
All in all this was a cheap 2nd holiday for us but we definately won

The rooms are small and basic, you get charged a 20 euro deposit for a TV remote control, refundable, you can hear everything through the walls of the rooms.
Food is rotated and very bland and basic.
Entertainment is rubbish, the evening starts off with a quiz, then bingo, then kids fun time, I never saw kids have fun whilst there, then there is meant to be some kind of adult entertainment, if you can sit through the rest of entertainment to get to that point.
There was certainly no control over the noise after midnight which was disappointing so you could be kept awake all night and no one from the hotel staff bothered.
I didn't meet anyone at this hotel who said they would go back.

It was awful food was horrible we ate out for every meal. All week we never slept the noise was unbelievable.
Kids in the hundreds hardly any of which we supervised. we actually used another hotel pool just to have a break.
I will certainly not be returning to this hotel ever again. Although Salou is a lovely place.
