Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

Salou was lovely and clean. The beach is huge but does get very crowded during the peak season. Shops were your typical touristy type ones. There was a range of restaurants catering for all tastes and budgets.

The resort has just the right balance of night life for young couples looking for a lively holiday away from large groups of young singles. There is also lots to do in the day with Port Aventura and excursions to Barcelona, both of which make excellent days out. Port Aventura is open from 10am to 12 at night, and ends every evening with an unmissable and spectacular fireworks display.

Resort was fantastic, lively but can be quiet too. great entertanment and plenty to do with the theme park near by and the water park, both well worth a visit. One day is not enough though.
The fireworks at midnight are spectacular, it's a got to see!! Prices are quite resonable. Especially drinks!! Great resort would go back any day!

Salou is your basic spanish/touristy resort. It is very clean with binmen clearing up all the time and hosing the streets down.
There is so much to do you will never be bored!! It is a really good resort for families, I went with my b/f but we are just big kids. There is the theme park Port Aventura which is definitley worth a visit, and also it's water park. Costa caribe excellent!
We also went to Andorra which was 4 hours on a coach it was very long and hot but I though well worth it, it was just so cheap there but there are restrictions on how much cigs - booze you can bring back.
The nightlife is for everyone, there is the usual karaoke bars and family bars with bingo etc or there is clubs were i found a lot of Dutch teenagers were. There is something for everyone though.
The beach is gorgeous too and not too crowded the prom is really nice at night when all the fountains light up.
All in all Salou is the place to go for a fun filled holiday and I would not hesitate to go again

Cap Salou has a small beach pleasant for swimming, I tended to use the pool though as it was warmer and cleaner.
Little entertainment for a couple in their 30's so we went off to Salou which has excellent bars and we joined in on the Reps pub crawl which was 5 euros. Free shot in every bar and a great laugh was had by all. Great intro to the bars for future visits. Salou has a plethora of bars, crap restaurants (WE were HB so no bother) shops and a great fountain that is lit up and goes off every 30 mins. Wonderful walks along the front although the black people trying to flog glasses etc was a bore. On the whole a nice resort just pick accom wisely.

Plenty to see, plenty to do, Port Aventura on your doorstep. McDonalds & Burger King for the kids, good selection of English (Fox & Hounds recommended), Irish and Welsh (Dai Jenkins place) bars. Two aqua parks.

Salou has excellent facilities for children and we will visit again this year for the third time. must recommend gabbers bar for a good family night out although bar could do with some refurbishment children are included in many activities and my nine year old loved it. food at gabbers was excellent and the regular two for one drinks offers throughout the evening.
