The hotel was dirty - no towels or toilet rolls on one occasion in my room. This was a problem as the food was absolute rubbish. My family were all ill.

Location was satisfactory.

Many hotel staff rude, tip taking from other guests for
priority services. Drinks warm and flat soft drinks. Lager not much better - half pint glasses, but only half full and scummy plastic glasses - no fruit juice or fruit availible.

Entertainment was of a sexual nature simulating sex with a broom handle on one occasion and a chair on another also kiddie prizes consisted of glass bottles of wine. Fake cigarettes on sale in hotel shop - fighting common place between guests in this international hotel.

We have just come back from this hotel and were very disappointed. Hotel is rife with cockroaches in a lot of the rooms and restaurant. Food is diabolical with no choice for the kids,so unsuitable for children. Chicken was left raw in the centre and cooked chicken was next to raw chicken highly dangerous. Bugs in the salad, the restaurant standard is appalling.
They kept running out of plates, glasses, so you had to wait for replacements, puddings ran out quickly as people were getting them with their main courses.

Hotel rooms are very basic and need a revamp, the good points only were nice beach and great animation team, but below average hotel, if you are fussy eaters or have children with you avoid this hotel.

My son also had an accident whilst there due to bad condition of the table tennis table, im seeking advise from a solicitor about this hotel, there was also an assault whilst we were there and hotel refused to get the police, thankfully we werent involved but not a nice atmosphere to be in !!

the hotell is a really nice hotel to stay at it may not look much but its a clean, packed with entertainment and all the staff are friendly and they make you feel welcome.
we never had any trouble while we stayed there and its safe for kids and theres plenty to do.

the entertainment crew are frendly with both adults and the kids.

with in the complex there is a indoor pool and out door pool.

when off on a day trip it is best to go right when leving the hotel grounds(from the main gaits)it you go left your sure to be hasseld but if you turn towards hammemet direction theres no problem.
but if any of the reps orginise any trips its best to say no.
of and if you see latiffe (camel man)ask to go on his camels its a good laugh and its well worth the money

This hotel is excellent!!

This may be because we expected a small cramped room (of which there are many) but instead we had a 2 bedroom vary spacious suite within the main hotel. My understanding is that there are only 6 of these within the main hotel and some more large rooms in the seperate builings scattered throughout the gardens. The small rooms looked very cramped and was pleased I did not get one.

The food was varied and was the best so far in my experience. There was always something being freshly cooked in front of you. The reason I did not give it a 5 is there is no kids food. There is a kids section but it contained spicy food that my lad would not eat. So he lived on chips, veel stew and cake.

Our waiter was brilliant. Very entertaining.

The entertainment team are brilliant. Remember this is a hotel animation team and not professionals in specialised areas. The same sports and kids staff do the evening entertainment. Their shows were great.

The hotel staff in general were very helpful. Had a problem with the toilet seat and it was fixed that evening (about 10pm) while we were being entertained outside. I thought that was a great response. Unfortunately, the porters always expected a tip, but I expect that this the same in th UK. We are only talking about 50p (1 dinar) so its not a big deal.

In our opinion this particular hotel was not at the standard expected of a three star hotel. The hotel was filthy, whilst the food and drink was extremely dissapointing.

Due to our complete dissapointment with this hotel we asked to be moved.

This resulted in our holiday gladly only lasting two nights in such poor conditions.

Just back from a week here May 2005. After reading some of the other reviews its recent revamp has worked. It was one of the most friendly run hotels we have ever stayed at.

The staff make everyone, young and old feel really welcome and can't do enough for you. We didn't like the room we were allocated but a word to reception and we were given a great sea view without any problems.

The rooms are basic but clean.

We found the food to be very good, with enough selection to keep us interested all week - the tuna cooked fresh in front of you just melts in your mouth, and the little cakes/sweets served with lunch and dinner are to die for! We noticed all the kids had big platefuls of food at every sitting so no probs there. If you are All Inc there is enough food on offer throughout the day to ensure a few added pounds round the waist on departure.

The entertainment staff did a great job round the pool during the day keeping everyone amused and running different games. They seemed really good with the children, keeping them occupied all day and well into the evening. In fact all the staff from the cleaners to the manager made a real fuss of children from babies on up to teenagers - I think it is a Tunisian thing because we saw it everywhere, really child friendly place.

The beach is just a two minute stroll through the hotel grounds, and you get to enjoy the perfume of the flowers along the borders, which is a very nice way to start the morning. The beach itself is clean and stretches miles. Sun loungers are free and they have a waiter in hut to provide free soft drinks - much needed as it was pretty hot last week. You can do the usual water sports there too. Do expect beach vendors flogging toy camels, drums, cartons of cigarettes ect. But a firm "non merci" sees them off when needed!

The hotel is a taxi ride from the main resort but they come cheap and plentiful so don't worry on that score.

The hotel does its own shows every night, which although not our thing, were packed, and judging by the sound being made by punters, went down really well.

Do take up the offer of going on the camel ride - the guy comes into the hotel to sign people up at about

After reading previous reports- I did worry what to expect, we went Jan 2005, the day we left, the hotel was closing for a couple of Month's for a much needed revamp. How-ever it turned out to be a most enjoyable Holiday!

Our Room was very clean, with a lovely view over the med, it was basic - but we went to see Tunisia not to stay in the Room all Day, we had an en-suite Bathroom , with shower, bath,, etc clean Towels every day.

The beds were comfortable and clean. We had a balcony with a sea view, patio furniture etc. The Food was fresh and plentiful, tasty salads and dressings, pasta, omlettes, meat dishes and the Roast beef served on the Sunday was Lovely!

Homemade Lamburgers and lots of lovely puddings, the chocolate Torte was out of this world. Localy Produced wines the Red was Yuk! But the white wasn't bad.

All The staff were very pleasant- our waiter was very funny - the entertainment team worked hard, the Karoke night was good fun.
Not much for children in the day, but it was out of season.

Pleasant walk to the beach through the Gardens, alot of the shopkeepers in the nearby gift shops on your case, they appear from nowhere abit like window salesman!!

The Best gift shop we found for nice gifts at good prices with no hassle, he just let you get on with it- was turn right out of the Hotel gates past the theme park , just past the Bank Machine.

If you like rum take your own couldnt find any any were!!! Camel Ride very good and the two day trip to the sahara very good, Taxi Ride in to Hammermet was four Dinar About 2 Quid. Beware of fake cigarettes being sold every were.

This was the first time any of us had gone all inclusive, so we weren't really sure what to expect. We weren't disappointed!

The hotel was basic but very clean.

The food was absolutely delicious and extremely varied (the chefs were also great entertainers!). The waiters were very attentive and deserved the hefty tip my family and I left at the end of the holiday!

The location was quiet and very picturesque, but with easy access to busier resorts.

The staff were fantastic. They could not be faulted! We experienced a storm which left us indoors for 2 or 3 days and they entertained everyone from morning until night! We can't wait to return. It has got to be the best holiday we have ever experienced!

If you get the chance - go!!!!

We stayed at the Dar Khayam for the 2nd time. We have always told ourselves never to return to the same resort twice but had such a good time here we decided to break the habit of a lifetime and go again. We were not disappointed.

We were welcomed with open arms by all our good Friends Rio, Makram etc. Even the guys in the shops over the Roda and the Chefs they all remembered us.

The hotel was once again nice and clean and the cleaners are really lovely people. If you are running short of clean clothes see the cleaner who will wash your clothes and bring them back to your room as good as the day you bought them for 50p a t shirt and
