Having stayed in Tunisia before, I know that the standards of accommodation do not equate to western ratings.
I stayed in the one bedroomed apartment for a week, and the maids never came once. Had to ask for towel and bed linen change.
The hotel itself was of a good standard for North Africa, and the level of cleanliness in public areas was good.
The apartment was comfortable although the air con was inadequate.
The hotel was a 5 min walk from the beach but if you walked along a short while you got to a good bit owned by a better hotel and they rented the sunbeds and umbrellas for around 50p per day.
The hotel is quite well situated from the resort and it is only a 10-15 min walk away.
Ate at the pizzerie and the staff were brilliant and the food was good.
Would probably go 5 star next time.

We expected this hotel to be of a higher standard than it was. It was supposed to be a 4 star although it was just verging on a 3 star. It was not on the beach and you had to walk down a road covered in horse manure to get to the beach. The beach was crowded with broken sunbeds. We were not impressed either with the breakfast where you had to pay for the orange juice separately. The swimming pool area was cramped and never used it. We also paid to use the sunbeds down on the beach near Port El Kantaoui which were better and the beach was cleaner. If you have decent standards - this hotel is not for you.

I returned from this hotel on 11 August 2003, and have to disagree with everything that you have said, other than the pool being small. We didn't use the Vincci beach but walked along and paid 50 pence for a sun bed and umbrella. The staff in the hotel were pleasant and extremely helpful, we had breakfast in the dining room which cost £3.00 per head, help yourself. We ate in the Pizzeria a couple of nights and used the bar every night, not once were we short changed or our change not given to us. The reception staff I thought were excellent, never surly and very helpful. Not once did we come across any member of staff that was rude or unhelpful even the electrician who had to sort something out for us was really helpful even though he couldn't speak English we got by with my little bit of french. The cleanliness was of a high standard - I certainly would recommend this hotel/apartments.

I have just returned from PEK having stayed at this hotel. This is allegedly a 4 star hotel and whilst the rooms were ok and the air conditioning was excellent, the service was very poor. The reception staff were surly and unhelpful, the bar and dining room staff were rude, did not give the corect change if they bothered to give change at all. The sun beds both at the pool and the each were falling apart. The pool area is very small. The quality of the food and hygiene was very poor. The hotel did not like British guests instead they favoured the french and german guests who were the largest percentage. Having seen other hotels like the Kanta I most certainly would not recommend this hotel.

Coming from a family that deals within the tourist trade we found this hotel very comfortable and accomodating. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard every day. There was a large choice of food at both breakfast and dinner and most tastes were catered for although it was wise to get in before the rush. On the main road to Sousse it was a pleasant 5 minute walk to the resort centre (with a 6 year old!!, and 2 minutes to the beach as the outdoor pool area was quite small(indoor pool excellent). The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was a problem. The entertainment was a bit repetetive although the staff did try their best. Overall the only let down was the lack of grounds and having to listen to fellow Brit tourists complaining for the sake of it! And the weather(It was February!!)

We have stayed at this hotel on two prior occasions this year and have just booked to go back for Christmas. I cannot praise this hotel enough, the food is excellent and you could not wish for more choice at both breakfast and dinner, all staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you, bed linen and towels are changed daily and should you have any requests they are always carried out with very little delay. There may be a sllight problem with language at reception but we have found them to be very friendly, in fact on our second visit we were recognised immediately, given a huge room with king size bed and the following day a gift basket of fruit was placed in our room. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and are looking forward to our next visit
