The whole area was beautifully clean, which is a blessing considering that the rest of Tunisia (certainly the countryside) was a complete rubbish dump! We tended to stick to the organised entertainment rather than finding local things to do, so I cannot comment on Port el Kantaoui's nightlife.

The beach was very clean, and when we visited, it was desserted.

The trip to the Sahara was lovely. I really enjoyed the camel trek in Douz. When you get into the Sahara, the local Berbers will come up to you on their arabs and will offer to take a picture of you on their well looked after arab horses. Go for it. It was only 5 Dinar. I ride well and the gentleman who lent me his horse gave it a shove and sent me galloping across the dessert, so much fun! A dream of mine!

The Thomas Cook Camel Train excursion to Sousse was also worth doing. The camel handlers are really friendly and funny. There are also horses and a horse (well, mule) and cart for the less able.

On our holiday we were not happy with the room it was dirty cold and one member of our family broke her toe under the terrible slaming door and could not go in the pool for up to 3 days and then even after the 3 days she had some pain still in her toe.The food was ok but not fantastic.

The location was ok but not much to do for kids. Some of the hotel staff were nice but a few of then were terribly rude and had no manners.

The entertaintment was good most of the time but some of the time it did get a bit boring but all the reps tryed their hardest. We would not visit this hotel but would possibly visit Tunisia again.

Our hotel was so soul destroying we could not be bothered to go further into the larger resort, however we did go on the roadto Carthage tour which was beautiful and I would highly recomend it but not for Kids unless they like ruins, museums and picturesqe villages. Anyone who has been to the South of France will like it. However this was also spoiled by shop and stall holders trying to force you into buying crap and shouting "fish and chips" at you or "scotch Whisky" in an attept to endear you by guessing yor Nationality. Very nice shopkeepers across from the Gloden Soviva and to the left.No Haggling with reasonable prices and not threating to two women on their own.

The Marina is beautiful At night as well as in the day time.unfortunately you just cant relax or enjoy it, Due to the fact that every two yards someone is standing in front of you trying to get you to eat or go in their shop. The place was deserted every night due to this and what a waste. The place lacks nightlife you can get a beer but shorts are very exspensive. You just get the feeling people are only civil so they get your money and this spoiled our holiday. Maybe it was just a culture shock to us but a week would have been long enough.

I can't realy comment on the resort entertainment as having a 2yr old son and going in April we did not seem to stay out late. only disappointment was that the fountain was not on.

resort is superb, our hotel was 1 minute away fro the beach, which were part of the grounds anyway, but there was a lovely beach right into the port itself, and you can walk along and arrive actually in the lovely harbour area, with it's shops and cafes... on the opposite sid of the port are the musical fountains, find out when they start, and dont miss them with coloured lights and music., loads of bars, shops, and cafes again. there is a NODDY TRAIN to Sousse, and is so cheap its crazy. we are going back to Sousse for the third time in September this year and will visit the port again. have a good time.

Port el Kantaoui is a fantastic resort for people of all ages especially if this is your first time in Tunisia.

This was the second time in 6 weeks as we enjoyed is so very much.

The food is cheap the exchange rates are good. Plenty of places to eat drink shop. Plenty of trips to go on.

The beaches are clean the water is delightful and the people out there are lovely.

We have just booked again for April 05.
