The resort gets better every year !! We have been going for 7 years now. The people are very friendly its very safe .The best restaurants are Big Bens, Romeos, Balti house, Istambul,Crystal. The best pubs are Egge bar, Dolphin bar, Swan bar, Big nose bar.
The market on a saturday is very good lots of bargains haggle haggle !! And a trip to the third beach is a must you can get a dolmus and if you eat at the restaurant up there the guy will give you a lift back to your hotel.
One last thing don't feel pressure to go into a place if you dont want to just say no thanks its just better that way !! Enjoy.

I have never been anywhere like altinkum its fantastic.
the beaches are great and so are the boat trips you can go on there.you stop on about 5 or 6 islands and can get out of the boat and cool down in the clear blue seas. the night life is brilliant i recomend swan bar its fab and is cheers bar. the clubs are great especially flamingo and galaxy.
everyone is so freindly and when i go back year after year they all know our family name by name which makes you feel that they are your friends and not just being nice to you for the sake of it.
The Altinersan hotel is fabulous in altinkum and they are so friendly

Sunset Village is probaly the best apartment holiday I have ever been on. The staff are extremly friendly and helpful and the bar food is spectactular. The staff work extremly hard to keep the place nice and clean. They are always up as early as 5 in the morning cleaning the pool/pool area and there is always somthing to do, from the pool table by the bar to swimming in the pool or just relaxing by the pool. The apartments are basic and spacious but cotain everything you need including a lovely balcony if on 2nd or 3rd floor and a nice pation area if on the ground floor.
We are returning there in August 07 and are hoping that it will be as pleasant as are last stay.

Altinkum is absolutely fantastic, the people are so friendly and when you visit a pub or restaurant more than once they all remember your name and treat you like old friends, the boys in the swan bar are fantastic, and the we loved the food in Valentines restaurant. The beaches are nice but get very packed, in the afternoon you have trouble getting off the beach!! the whole resort is very clean and friendly. Am going back again next year!!

Hassle-hassle-hassle, too many bars and restraunts competing for too few customers, couldn't just have a quite walk.

Altinkum is really nice, and really comes alive a night. We were pleased with the food in every restaurant in the resort. I urge you to walk up the the resautant at the very end of the beach front as you walk past dolphin square towards the harbour(befor the funfair) , walk up a slight slope and there is a restaurant on the cliffs with amazing views.
Also, late at night ther are guys selling fresh seafood on the beach, its amazing, we had gorgeous giant muscles stuffed with rice! The bars are great, really fun entertainment. Try the garden cafe where you can have a few beers sitting on giant pillows on the grass, really romantic! We went on an evening boat tour to watch the sunset which was absolutly amazing (we went on taffys boat), highly recommended! Also we had a Turkish bath, it was a good laugh and you feel great afterwards, the masseurs are extremely respectful and make you feel at ease.
Bad points-
Beach very busy, we couldn't go to it.
Paths, paving and roads are very rough- we tripped over loads!
Everyone smokes there!
Driving and crossing roads are hazardous, be careful.
Also, late at night ther are guys selling fresh seafood on the beach, its amazing, we had gorgeous giant muscles stuffed with rice! The bars are great, really fun entertainment. Try the garden cafe where you can have a few beers sitting on giant pillows on the grass, really romantic! We went on an evening boat tour to watch the sunset which was absolutly amazing (we went on taffys boat), highly recommended! The location is excellent the pool is a good size views are great as well I cannot find fault with this place and would not hesitate to return.

Resort was fantastic, very clean , pool side was spot less , entertainment was excellant , beach was extremly wel located it had its own private beach with a jetty that was beautiful the beach was also very clean & would deffinatly visit this resort again

I found a lot of baron land around altinkum,and a lot of building work going on.the main town area i found clean ,But the surrounding area was not so clean.(don't let this put you off from going).
There wasn't much entertainment in altinkum.(They did have break dancing and belly dancing on,And lots of music in all the bars. )There is a good selection of bars and restaurants which will keep you busy for the week or two weeks you are there.We visited the family door restaurant which was good.But the best one we found which we visited a number of times was Diana's .The food was fantastic and the staff couldn't do enough for you (specially john and James) great lads.
They have a free car service (pick you up take you back).
We visited only the one beach (the middle) which i didn't think much off .But i was told the other two beaches were better.we did a number of excursions.the jeep safari was our best.We booked through the family door restaurant much cheaper than paying the reps.
We will be visiting altinkum again.

The main resort is very clean.
There is plenty of entertainment just got to look for it.
Take advice from hotel staff beach is spot on third beach is best for water sports ect haggle the price.
