The resort of Marmaris is fantastic with loads of Bars and Restaurants nearby. I personally dont like the beach, but if you like the beach take the short trip to Icemeler where the beach is all golden sand.

A nice resort plenty to do though it could do with cleaning up. All the bars start off good but after a while the waiters are the entertainment basically tops off dancing every one the same gets a bit boring.
You are continually hassled day and night every bar and restaurant they try to practically drag you in, thought it would be an escape on the beach no chance they are all trying to get you to their restaurants and bars later offering to pick you up, if you like that kind of thing fine, we dont so won't be going back to Turkey.
Also be warned when coming home the prices at Bodrum airport are a total rip off a tea and coffee £4 each bottle of water £2.

Plenty of places to eat but touts can be annoying.
Entertainment is mainly karaoke and male dancing with odd quiz and bingo.
Dolmus is great value to get around locally only 1 lira anywhere.
Everybody is very friendly and prices are low ! My 2nd visit and cant wait to return.

Altinkum is a fabulous place to spend a holiday. Long sandy beaches, freindly people and spotlessly clean.

Altinkum is a lovely place. The Apollo Temple is really worth seeing. It is a great resort for chilling back and the tours to different places of interest and boat trips are great. You are well looked after.
Maxi tours looked after us and they ere great.
Unfortunately you do get hassled which is very off putting. This should not happen.
The restaurants and the food are generally very nice.
Pinocchios has a lively entertainment aspect and the waiters are keen to look after your every need!!
Ladies watch out, all the men are married!!!

The closest beach is very narrow and is where turkish holiday makers swarm, there is a mainly brit beach called the 3rd beach which you will be told is nice and quiet!!!! it was crammed full. The resort was fairly clean and the locals do back off when you say no. No grabbing and dragging you into their bar. The Oyan and Blue rose resturant both come recommended for good food in a quieter setting. Dolphin square bars are all much the same with break dancers doing the same thing in all (even they looked bored of doing it!).
I would not feel safe letting my 14 year old daughter out alone or with a friend as the turks do pounce on young girls, however younger kids are well received where ever you go.
