Altinkum is by far one of the best resorts ever!!! Please if you go to Esra visit Family door restaurant and say hi 2 steven. The food is fab!!!! All the Turks are sooo welcoming they always ensure that u r fully satisfied with everything. I cant say much else except "excellent, excellent, excellent".

The resort of altinkum is one of the best i have ever visited there was enough restaraunts and bars to last a lifetime, each with great food staff and entertainment . definately returning next year, a fantastic holiday

We went in August 2007. There as about 10% English, 20% German and 70% Turkish holiday makers. In all the resterants we visited we were treated very well. Pinnochio's bar was fantastic with the Turkish dancers and food was gorgeous. We couldn't get on the beach though as it was so packed tou couldn't see the sand!
The waiters outside their shops were very pushy so you have to have a tough skin!
The Harbour at night is gorgeous and i would recommend a boat trip during the day.

We got a bit tierd of the restaurant staff trying to get you into their place - in the end we said we had eaten - they got the message - next time we go I'll make sure we all have fake tan on to make us look as though we have been there for ages!! By the end of our holiday they didn't bother us too much. Dolphin Square Bar prices in £ thought we had been done - a wee bit expensive!! Pinochios - excellent, entertainment and value for money (watch out if you order the special!!). If you are bartering for anything, the golden rule, the price they say first, half, then negotiate. I manage to get some bargains eventually!!
Would highley recommend this holiday - not as cheap as I expected, probably the same as Spain - but cheaper than at home!!

I can be very brief here as we had no complaints about the resort. It was very friendly and clean and the local people were very helpful in every way and could not do enough for you. The beach was spotless even though it was always full and there was always plenty loungers through out the day. This is a resort we could not fault and we would go back.

i cant fault altikum because you are abroad experiencing a different way of life so you cant expect it to be 100% perfect thats what the whole experience is about.
i throughly enjoyed my stay, dolphin square excellent expecially the swan bar, the streets are cleaned every night although dusty but what do you expect your near a desert,but you dont notice it people in the resort are very friendly,although you do get hassled you get used to it once youve got a tan its not as bad, coming back next july for definete.

Resort centre quite busy, also beach in centre crowded, stick to 3rd beach near apartments. Be preapred for haggling with shopkeepers! Lots of bars in town with entertainments, but we preferred the Penguin Restaurant on 3rd beach (they will send car to hotel and return you FREE of charge). Waiters really nice, views over the beach and best of all food fantastic, steaks £6!! Very relaxing!! We tried Deniz Restaurant on 3rd beach, but staff rushing about like the place on fire, food basic, felt more like a burger bar!! Staff at Penguin entertain you most nights with dancing plus weeekly BBQ with belly dancer and break dancers. Resort clean and friendly.
