The resort of Altinkum is very clean. There are lots of bars and restaurants. Good for shopping although you do have to be good at bartering to get a good deal. The beach is lovely and clean.

If you take the time to speak to the local people, then you will have a great holiday. You are spoilt for choice for entertainment with karaoke bars, drinking bars and restaurants. There are also some Turkish Baths. On top of this, there is no shortage of retail therapy.
We didn't use the beach but plenty of people did and whenever we walked by it, it always looked clean. The sea is very shallow and so is safe for families with small children.
The Temple of Apollo is a Dolmus ride away up Ataturk Boulevard, it cost us 1.25 ytl. The only downside to Altinkum is the location of the Banks, there is not one right in the heart of the place, only ATMs!! On Wednesday two yachts from Marmaris anchor in the bay. Whilst we were here, a ship called The World visited and was anchored in the bay for two whole days.

Altinkum is a fantastic resort with plenty to do and see and the beaches are fantastic and the best in Turkey!!!

Great resort. Very Turkish. Visit the Munzur bar for the best that live Turkish music has to offer.
Or for the less cultured there are the usual dancing waiter bars doing the "Cha Cha Slide"

the resort its self was clean. well first thing it was then kamakazee bugs were floating on the pool and wrappers too!!! so not so clean after 9am.
there was little or no entertainment.
there was no beach, well none to speak of, it was pebbles and not smooth pebbles either!
i would NOT visit this resort again. EVER!!!!
must say Altinkum Town is very nice, people and the place.
the hotel should take some tips from the people in Altinkum Town.

the resort of altinkum/didum was lovely and we plan on returning next summer this resort is suitable for all age groups

altinkum is probably the best resort. its got a good mix of everything, such as shops, restaurants and supermarkets and chemists. the beach was excellent though we didn't use it much as it was so hot. the only thing against it is the constant harrasement from shop keepers and restaurant owners and some of them could be particularly rude, which as an adult you can probably deal with, though some adults i met found this really intimidating, but the children didn't like it as some of the shop keepers could be really persistant and do anything to get the childrens attention. though i do suspect this is found in other resorts. not sure if i would visit altinkum again as we've been three times now. my brother probably would as it was his first time in altinkum.

We have come to Altinkum 5-6 times now & I really like this place, I would come back every year but of course we sometimes want a change. It is clean and the people are very friendly. The beach is the best one I've been to in Turkey, & I've been to 4 different places. There are plenty of Bars to pick from & they all have their own dancers entertaining you every night. Theres plenty of shops & a weekly market is just a short ride on the dolmus, where you can buy everything you want & more. Would definitely recommend this resort.

We did not leave the Esra much but when we did we went down to dolphin square I was a little dissapointed to see dogs mess on the pavements and on the beach.
