The resort is clean apart from the streets where there is continuous building works.
I have lived in the resort for over a year and enjoyed my stay. Boat trips are fantastic especially Ali Kaptin boat.
Sun sea sand and decent night life. What more do you need?

Great area. Less commercial than Bodrum, Marmaris and Kusadasi. Though this is certainly an area on the up. We heard whilst we were there that 70,000 brits have bought apartments in the area recently and you can get them for as little as £19,000 at the minute. Loved the area, people very friendly especially if you have children. We stayed at Esra Apartments which i have to say seem like they were one of the best ones around overall. Had nothing but good reports and everyone in town had heard of them. Can recommend some restaurants: FAMILY DOOR (Say Hi to Hakan, Ronaldo and the gang), ALI G RESTAURANT (run by Ali and his two brothers-just been open a week or so), VICTORIA PUB (has own private beach and theres no pressure to eat or drink there, but they still let you use their beach and its much safer for the kids -easier to let them do their own thing-say hi to Tommy)and PINOCHIO'S (although a bit more expensive and not as friendly because much busier, food was excellent. Theres so much to say really. Must visit Ephesus, and we can recommend ZAZA Tours - it cost £18 but the tour is a bit rushed, with very comprehensive guide/information. Next time we will visit under our own steam as its only about £4 to get in, but petrol is slightly dearer than UK and is about 1 and a half hours travel, so its still not a bad deal. Beware they will stop at Gold merchants, carpet factories, jeans factories and leather shops for fashion shows etc hoping you'll make an impulsive decision to buy something. Although we didn't witness anyone do so. Food not bad allround, but seems pretty english and not much opportunity to taste some turkey cuisine, but some restaurants do have it on their menu. Prices average: Coffee £1.25, Pint lager £1.25, Shandy £1.25, Breakfast £3, Doner Wrap £1.25, Ice Cream £1, Evening Meal about £7, Most menus offer a good selection. Will probably come back on here as i've probably forgotten loads, but great area and we're going back asap. Enjoy.

The water was clean and shallow ideal for familes. you can walk out to sea for a good 25 meters and the water is still only upto your knees. sunbeds and umberella's are plentyfull and cost 4 each for the whole day.
The resutrants are again plentyfull. they try and entise you in and give you they leaflets. we ate out on a few occasions and the food was great with big portions and a wide seletion to choose from. all which had childrens menus and childrens play areas.
The beach was clean and litter free. with bins which were always being emptied.
I would recommend taking a all day 10:30 till 4 boat trip from the marina this cost £5.00 with lunch or £12.00 with lunch and all day drinks. we did not bother with the drinks as we took our own. This was a very good worth while boat trip. great if you love swimming in the sea as they stopped to let people do this. if you are not a confident swimmer they gave you the woggles.
I would recommed this resort to familes as it is reasonably quiet with lots of resturants and shops.
And yes i will be going back again next year.

Lots to do, all the people are so friendly and can't do enough for the holiday makers.
The dancing boys of the kiss bar have to be seen to be believed.
The market however is not for the faint hearted they are very pushy and very in your face

The area is very pleasant. The shops can be a pain due to the hassling nature of the locals who run them but you have to be resolute in saying no to avoid problems. Aside from this the beaches are beautiful and the Aegean Sea is so clear it's a dream to swim in. I would recommend a visit to the Third Beach as it's so clean and friendly there and we ate out at the Deniz Restaurant at the Third Beach in Altinkum where the service was fantastic and the food was superb.

Atinkum itself very basic a lot of unkept wasteland,Roads not tarmaced so causing a lot of dust.Deffinetly not suitable for disabled and elderly people,Good bus service every ten minutes round resort,Plenty of eating places and bars although your HASSLED at nearly every one. Which can become very annoying when they won't take no for a answer,They also like pysical contact like shaking your hand and patting you on the back which we found not altogether very hygienic considering the toilets.Would we return to this resort No.May try another location in a few years time.
