Bodrum I thought was clean seeing its a busy resort I was walking round the town at 8.30 in a morning shop keepers cleaning pavements and shop windows.
Entertaiment we had our meals out on a night at rhe captains table across from our hotel and the goldenplate on the seafront had a walk round the shops/bazar perhaps a drink on the beach with the girls then back to the hotel to carry the night on.
The twins had made a lot of friends so everybody was waiting for eveybody to come back to play games /dancing /play pool which was free everywhere in bodrum.
Beach was pebbley which did't put us off sea beautiful took the girls watching the fishermen bringing there catch in free sunbeds etc if you had a drink or a snack.

I thought Bodrum was a really pretty place and the entertainment was really good , the resort of Bodrum is very lively .Didnt really see that there was much of a beach the one that i did see looked clean just very small. If i ever return to Turkey i think i would visit a different resort .

I prefer Gumbet to Bodrum as it was much more relaxed and you don't get hassled in shops as much if you tell them you are looking they will leave you!!
Try to do the one day trip to Pamukulet (Youngs Travel in Gumbet) arund £19 takes about 4hrs to get there but HIGHLY recomended.

there are loads of places to visit. the pubs, clubs and dance bars will keep you dancing all night and morning, as they don't close til after 5! the locals are very friendly and are always smiling. there's always boat trips to the smaller and greek islands and the shopping is great!

Have stayed previously in Marmaris and must say Bodrum and Gumbet are far better. Beach in Bodrum itself not up to much but Gumbet beach is a lot better.
Both resorts are excellent for nights out and within easy walking distance from Club Bellaverde as it is downhill in both directions although would advise on taxi back uphill!!
Excellent dormus service between both resorts.

Shopping is great for fake goods from watches to handbags, dvd's to gameboys. Dont ever pay the asking price, haggle all the time.
Restraunts are plentful and all types inc Macdonalds and Burger King.
Pubs great. Drinks cheap, Beer and large G & T approx £4.00.
If you plan to go on trips, DONT go with holidy rep, local tour companies are much more informed and cheaper.

Bodrum is a fantastic resort, both for lazing around and partying. It has something for everyone. There are top quality restaurants and bars all along the main street and for those wanting to explore a little, fantastic restaurants and cafes can be found in quieter locations.
There is also the mausoleum which is well worth a visit, particularly as this is one of the wonders of the world. Although lots of the artefacts have been stolen in the past, there is still a lot left to see.
There is not really a beach in Bodrum, although there is a small strip by the bars and restaurants, the nearest beach is Gumbet. While we were there, the sand was being renewed as it had been washed away by the sea over the winter. The beach is not soft sand, but it's also not pebbles. There is a man who cleans the beach throughout the day, even removing any plants that have been washed ashore.

We stayed in Bodrum and Gumbet. They are lovely places and I will be going back soon. I think that Gumbet is better for nightlife while Bodrum is better for shopping.

The general cleanliness of the resort was brilliant as well as the entertainment. The beaches were lovely but a bit to pebbly.
