Just returned from two weeks in turkey. We stayed at the queens resort. The hotel was really nice and in a great location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. our apartment had a living area with two sofas a bathroom, a bedroom and a balcony. the living room and bed room both had air conditioning which was good. but please note you have to pay for this seperatly and its 10 turkish lyra a night. which works out about 50 pounds for the fortnight.
we only stayed at the pool for 1 day but it was really nice. we never ate in the hotel but again it looked really nice. there is a turkish bath in the hotel and i definitley recommend it to anyone. we left it to our second week but i would have preferred to get it on the 1st or 2nd day. for 16 pounds it last the guts of 2 hours and is fantastic. the hotel is in a good location. the resturant planet yucca that everyone is talking about is just outside the hotel reception and is quite nice. china town is also a nice meal. we also ate in the mandrin but my girlfriend got food poisoning and was very sick.

Gumbet has lots of bars, shops and resturants. you will get tortured to come into these bars. and for us two weeks was too long. some do not take no for an answer and it can become quite tiring. we found a great coctail bar called "LEGENDS" and a great host called ali who supplied me with mojitos that where rockin.

being beach people we where quite dissapointed. the beach is manmade and is more gravel than sand. the water was really nice for swimming, though very salty. the sunbeds are free and you can order drinks from the bars along the beach and have them brought to your table.

september time seemed to be the start of the season winding down. the weather was really nice in the 30's every day and cooled to a nice temepature at night. the bars along the beach front at night had big bean bags to lie on and relax.

we visited the water park in bodrum. we got a taxi in and out. that was 16 pounds. quite expensive. entry to the waterpark for 2 people was 25 pounds. it was a great day out.

we found turkey to be quite cheap. some of the brices are listed below.

in the shops
Water = 40pence for 1.5 litres
beer (efes) 90 pence for a 50cl bottle

in the bars the beer was a round 1.60 a pint of their local beer and cocktails where working out at 5.60 for two and these where really good cocktails in legends.

we had a nice holiday and i would without doubt recommend the queen resort. great location and great accomadation. i found that 2 weeks in turkey was too long and dont think i would return. thats not to say its not for everyone just not me.

Just returned from the queens sept 21st.Everything that has been said already about this hotel is true.I went as a single mom with my 10yr old son we had a fabulous time.The staff are amazing very friendly and very helpful they played with my son for hours on end.The bbq night and ladies night are good fun and my son enjoyed watching the break dancers.We went at 2am in the morning to watch the staff play a football match against planet yucca queens lost but we both enjoyed it.We had a fab time already booked to go back july and september 2008.Carnt wait...

Me & My friends have recently returned from staying at Queen resort, we have had a great holiday and would recommend this accommodation to anyone thinking of travelling to Gumbet.

We arrived at 7pm and were met with Friendly reception staff (Deliaver & Papa) where they gave us the option of residing in the suite rather than the apartments, which was a great bonus - Jacuzzi bath in one of the bedrooms, very modern and spacious

We sat at the pool most days where we were entertained by Ali and Feiko - great laugh!! Staff were really nice and made our stay a very enjoyable one.

The apartments are located well in Gumbet, as it was about a 10 min walk to Bar Street and 5 min from beach with lots of shops, bars and restuarants near by. We often went to Planet Yucco for our meals, which is located at the front of the apartments - food is excellent and waiters were all very charming.

We are all hoping to return to queen resort next year.

We stayed at the Queen for 2 weeks. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. The hotel was clean and we had clean towels 3 times a week. There is a bar by the pool that was open all the time (even 4 in the morning)about 3 times a week they put on evening entertainment, we went to the Turkish night it cost

We all enjoyed our stay at The Queens Resort.The staff where great and loads of fun, the hotel was very clean and the maids did a great job with our rooms. The turkish nite is a must!! My 18yr old and 14yr old children enjoyed the pool more than the beach, only draw back was getting up at 6am to put towels by the pool. Hope to see Ali & Feco next year when we return. They were the BEST!!

I did not stay at the Queens resort but I was there every day because my family stayed. Their rooms were lovely very clean and modern. The staff are great we had a boss time and didnt want 2 go home!

Ali and Feiko are a good laugh! Hope to go back there some time !!!

If You Go Selfcatering Try The Food In The Hotel Its Lovely But Nearly Every Night We Visted Planet Yucca Thee Food There Iss Amazing

This was the first time that I went on holiday alone with my 10 year old daughter, and I couldn't have chosen a friendlier hotel than this one. We had an amazing holiday there with great staff. My daughter absolutely loved Ali and Fico!!

We went to the Turkish nights and the ladies night, followed by the pool party. The food was sooo lovely and the entertainment was also great. Be prepared to get pushed in the pool when the pool party is on!!!

The positioning of the hotel is great as you are less than 5 minutes from the beach and a very short walk from bar street.Although you are close to bar street, there is no noise from there.

I definitely hope to go back next year!!!

The Hotel has a really friendly atmosphere and the staff are amazing...if you need anything, they'll be there. We've been there before and each year it gets better! I still keep in touch with Ali and Fico, they were brilliant fun for us all. Ali suprised me on my 15th birthday with a party and he made me a cake too =]

In our family there were 4 of us and the youngest was my brother (11 at the time) and we made some wonderful friends, and still keep in contact with them. You meet the most incredible people there (including the staff) and I pester my mum everyday to let us go back...she said we can next year (I'll be going by myself then!)
