We arrived at the Queen resort about 9pm and were quickly checked in and shown to our rooms by the polite staff.

The rooms were very clean, well decorated and modern. There was plenty of space although I did ask if we could change rooms as me and my boyfriend were given 2 single beds instead of a double and we were told that we could change the next morning but we decided we were fine in our room an just pushed the beds together.

The hotel was kept very clean and the staff were very friendly especially mackenzie who we had a chat with everyday.

The Turkish night that they put on every friday is a must see we had an absolute fab time all the staff joined in and were very entertaining.

I would definitely return to this hotel and would recommend it as it is a great location between the beach and main resort and the staff are so nice.

My only slight complaint is that the shower was only warm if you used it around 4 - 6 any later and it was freezing, also there was not enough equipment to cook food only 2 hobs not even a toaster and because the electric goes off when you take the room key out the fridge only keeps stuff cold whilst you are in the room!!!

Finally a quick warning, every drink and meal you have at the hotel they charge to your room instead of paying for them straight away which is a good idea if you remember to settle your bill the next morning, we left ours for the whole week we where there and got a nasty shock on our last morning when we had to pay about

This was our first time in Turkey and the holiday turned out to be really good. The travel arrangements were very well co-ordinated, the timing was perfect, representatives were very polite and helpful and the accommodation was excellent. The rooms were basic but very clean and spacious. The staff were always pleased to help and they treated us with utmost respect. The entertainment was very lively and proved to be a hit with all ages. The food from the restaurant was excellent as well as cheap. The most important factor would probably be the presence of someone at the reception desk 24:7. We would definitely stay here again.

We all enjoyed our stay at the queen resort apartments. The rooms are very clean and they were cleaned daily.

They are the nicest apartments we have stayed in. The staff are excellent and made us feel very welcome, Eddie, Mckenzie & Aberdin kept our 1 year old daughter amused alot of the time.

We highly recommend the queen resort and it would be our first choice of accommodation if we return to Gumbet in the future.

The Queen resort is ideally situated, you have the peace and quiet away from the busy centre whilst only being a 5 minute stroll from the clubs bars and restaurants.

The staff are very friendly and speak good English and do whatever they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

The rooms are modern, nicely furnished and cleaned daily, air conditioning is on hire of the remote (reasonably priced).

A small gym room with limited equipment should anyone feel the need and a spa offering treatments (payable locally).
Entertainment is a weekly Turkish night which is good fun, my son enjoyed the belly dancer!! They also organise football matches between the Turkish and English guests - only downfall is its in the middle of the night but again a laugh is guaranteed.

The food is to a high standard, so good in fact that I married the chef (Mustafa) and he now lives in Leeds with me!!

Edi, MacKenzie, Mustafa (behind the bar)& Aberdein are great with guests and have a lot of patience with children.

I stayed at the Queen Resort 4 times last year and will be going back at least twice this year - Aug and Oct - and the chef will be a guest!!

I chose to stay at these Apartments on a self catering basis after reading previous reports, I was presently surprised to find they had a Restaurant on the complex that offered good breakfasts, snacks and Evening meals, I used these facilities on a number of ocassions and found the food was to a good standard and well presented, also value for money.

The Hotel was recently built so the decor and facilities were of a good standard, the rooms are cleaned and left very tidy every day, towels and sheets changed every other day.

The Hotel location is well up the opposite end from the busy Bar Street if you want to be away from the Bump Bump Bump of disco music but not to far away if you want to visit bars and restaurants and the night life, we had 3 twenty year olds in our group.the location suited everyone.

Hotel Staff were excellent, all spoke good English and other languages, entertainment was fine given that the self catering arrangements does not offer them many chances to organise events. The Turkish Night organised once a week, offers guests the opportunity to interact with staff and other guests. World Cup Football was on during my stay, this event attracted many guests to watch during match viewing on TV, we had a good mix amongst the other guests of English,Scottish,Irish and Welsh, the banter was good, many choosing to wear a football shirt to support their choosen team.

The Bar Staff arranged a football match (Queen Staff against the guests) at 0200hrs on an Astro Turf Pitch, Many of the wives and children came along to watch and some wives even joined in at one point, this was the highlight of the week, we had a video of this match taken by one of the Guests (Big Frank Goldie a Scotsman living in Liverpool with Janet a scouser)now that was a recipe of fun and other things to come, his commentary of the match was hilarious and made good entertainment to watch the next night.

The Hotel has many other facilities, from Hair and Beauty to games and fitness suite, sauna, massage etc.
You do not need to carry money around with you inside the complex as you sign for food and drinks and pay next day at reception.

Would love to stay at this hotel again if I can get a place after this and other reviews.
I should mention the Pool and Bar staff who helped make our stay memorable and fun, both day and night.

Kenny(Bar Manager)he encouraged the interaction and checked the waiters if he though their attention was unwelcomed. Eddy and Nicolas(head waiters)full of fun and divilment, they tormented my wife and myself the whole holiday. Muzzo(the crazy chef)nothing was to much to trouble him whatever the hour to cook for you. Oguz (pronounced oouz) from the fitness suite, we played pool every day for a pint, first to five frames, if you need a break away from the heat see Oguz and his lovely Wife (they will be expecting a baby around Xmas time) for good massage or to use the hair and beauty salon. Last but not least reception staff (Dilaver) a good footballer, who allowed me to use the computer for football bets, he cheered on my selections every day.

My opinion of the Hotel staff overall, from the Hotel Manager who was always around and made a point of saying hello, all the way down to the cleaning staff, all very friendly helpful and polite.

I recently booked a last minute holiday with a mate, the Queen Resort was offered to us and as there was little else and the Hotel was classed as a 4 star hotel we chose to go.

On arrival at the Hotel we were pleasently suprised, the hotel / appartments were brand new (at this point had been open 5 weeks) we had gone Self catering for this holiday as we intended on drinking etc till late and did not want to be tied to meal times.

The lobby is open and tidy, contempory in style and the staff are very friendly and helpfull there English, Dutch and Russian are very good, the booking in process is quick and easy - Warning although there is Air Con in the rooms you do need to hire the remote controls - at the time this was 10 Turkish Lira or 10000 old Turkish Lira - In the warm season I cannot advise you strongly enough to hire the air con! you do need it.

We were escorted to our room and shown around then the member of staff departed before a tip was offered (I don't think the staff are allowed to accept tips) The room was very clean, on entering the room to your left is a 2 ring cooker with an extractor fan above, below this is a small fridge freezer, there is a sink and plenty of stroage for food. you then walk into the main living room with a pull down sofa bed for 2 and a matching sofa seeting 2, there is a wardrobe and 2 coffee tables and an air conditioning unit, the rooms are decorated tastefully and are pained white. There is a flat screen TV in each appartment with a choice of local, dutch and British channels Sky news etc.

Each apartment has a terrace with a table and 2 chairs and a small washing line to dry your towels and swim costumes etc.

The bedroom has a comfortable double bed and wardrobe space mirror etc the bedroom also has an airconditioning unit.

The bathroom is well presented and there is a hand soap dispencer over the sink, the toilet doubles as a bidet (however I did not use this), (it is important to not that you can NOT flush toilet paper or sanitary products down any toilets in Turkey - the drains are too narrow - you have to place toilet tissue etc into a bin, sounds awful but it isnt)).

The shower is fantastic with strong water pressure and the water is lovely and cool, there is also a soap dispencer in the shower. Please not that the bathroom is tiled through out, bath and hand towels are supplied and a floor towel is also supplied for you to stand on while you dry.

Leaving the appartment takes you onto the pool area where there is plenty of genuine Teak sun loungers - non of that white plastic rubbish! there are also tables and chairs for snacks and in the evening these are dressed for evening meals from the on site restraunt if you wish to eat in.

Room service is available and menues supplied to the rooms. the restraunt is clean and the food is very good and suprisingly competative with the local restraunts (which are numerous!) the pool is clean and well cared for through the day, there is a kiddies paddling pool, please note mums and dads! there is no life guard at this hotel so you are responsable for your kids.

There are rules for the pool which are posted around the pool i.e no running, no diving (its not deep enough (@5 foot deep) and the pool cannot be used after 8PM as the restraunt is then open properly and this is the time the pool is treated with the chemicals.

The hotel is situated in the heart of Gumbet and is about 250 mtrs from the beach (i.e. out of the hotel turn right follow the road to the end then bear left) and you are in amongst the restraunts and touresty bits of Gumbet withing walking distance of Bar St. but not so close that the noise is a bother.

For me it was ideally sitated, which is a plus factor in my decision to re-use this resort.

The staff are all very friendly and polite, they will bend over backwards to accomodate you and to assist, one of the staff ended up getting pushed into the pool and we got him to play head the ball between some of the single lads, kids and a few parents, the atmosphere was very good and relaxed.

There is no real entertianment at this resort - simply because there is so much to do in the area, and it simply wouldnt be used to the fullest! As I already mentioned there are TV's in the rooms there is a TV at the bar and in the Restraunt itself - ideal for the Cricket or the footy and the bar plays a good mix of the current locally popular tunes - be they British, Dutch or Turkish.

I will definately re-visit this resort.

Queen Resort is a newly opened hotel - only 4 weeks open. It is very clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Food disappointingly British...but since in the centre of Gumbet and lots of food choices available nearby certainly didnt feel stuck.

Car parking for a hire car is underneath the hotel (down the ramp at the side of the doctor's)and we enjoyed the freedom of having one for three days...

Not much entertainment laid on...which didn't worry us and found the hotel environment a nice peaceful haven contrasting with the manic street outside. Nice pool, lots of sunbeds, free room service, air conditioning a must....if only to have peace and quiet from the bars etc outside

I think the staff made it for us...

we would visit this hotel again....if we ever went back to Gumbet...which is unlikely as its not my style of holiday

We arrived at the hotel not knowing what to expect as it was a last minute booking.

On arriving at the hotel in the early hours we were very happy with what we had been offered , a brand new hotel it was its first week of opening. The rooms were the best we had stayed in they were like little show houses .

We also noticed throughout our weeks stay how clean the staff maintained every area of the hotel , as soon as spillages or breakages happened staff were there to clear up. we were suprised at how cheap the food was compared to outside restraunts , it was also of good quality although you did have to wait a while for it to be served.

The hotel staff were some of the friendliest I have met and really made us feel welcome . With the hotel just openeing not much entertainment was laid on although a opening party was held which was most enjoyable.

Myself and my 2 children would certainly go back again
