Location
This is a lovely hotel in an idylic setting.
Unfortunately the food and entertainment are definitely not 5*. I will start with the food. We are not fussy eaters,we enjoy mediteranean food and always look forward to trying the traditional dishes. The presentation of the food was TERRIBLE. The hot food was placed in what can only be described as stainless steel bread bins. You had people walking along lifting the lids, looking inside, putting them down and the next person doing the same. When i mentioned this to the rep she told me it was to keep the food hot,the food was either tepid or cold! The selection was also very poor with most dishes swimming in unappealing white sauces with names like Velvet Fish and Velvet Chicken that were dished up most days. The grilled meats were also quite poor with "meatballs "and a "different kind of meatballs" also being dished up most days. They seriously need to address the quality and presentation of the food. We have travelled extensively and visited Turkey on 2 previous occasions, this is the worst food i have ever had.
The entertainmet during the day was good with Pool Games,Volley Ball,Waterpolo and Football. The young animacion team worked really hard to ensure that eveyone had a good time. Unfortunately their inexperience showed during the evening entertainment which was of a very poor standard. There was also a 7 day evening entertainment programme instead of a 14 day programme, once again i have never experienced this before. Definitely not acceptable in a 5* hotel.
It would seem that the hotel owners are trying to save money on 2 areas which would come high up on peoples expectations of a good holiday.
Having said this if they rectify these problems the hotel would definitely be worthy of a 4* rating.
The setting is idyllic with a private section of sandy beach with plenty of sunbeds and shade. There are also 2 piers with plenty of beds with lovely views out to the sea. I believe that there is the usual scramble for beds by the pool, but as we sit on the beach that did'nt bother us.
They also offer watersports daily, water skiing and banana boat rides all free of charge. You put your name down and wait your turn, everybody gets a go.
There was a lot of teenagers there both Dutch and English who all mixed together and had a great time.
There is a disco in the basement which our son and his friend had a great time in,i cannot comment as we were not allowed to go!
Had a good holiday but because of the above reasons we would probably not go back.

my husband and i have very different opinions on the food at the hotel- he loved it all and i didnt really like any of it. i understand that turkey is indeed a foreign country but food should be suitable for all guests. most dishes came in some knid of watery sauce and nothing went with anything else. on saying that my husband had fish, chiken, beef and meatballs on the same plate on a daily basis which didnt bother him! the italian restaurant was fantastic though but you do have to book to eat there and it is very popular! The choice of drinks were great, alcohol, water and soft drinks all included all day.
Now onto the children! Going on holiday in the middle of the school holidays to an all inclusive hotel was obviously going to be swamped with children, which i dont usually mind but on this occassion they drove us both crazy! the majority of the kids hung around in big gangs, loitering in toilets or roamed the corridors of the hotel - and at night ran around the hotel till 2/3 o'clock in the morning. they were rude to the staff and threw drinks, glasses and rubbish into bushes or even the pool. the disco in the basement was always empty as the kids hung around the corridors creating havoc. obviously this doesnt reflect upon the qulaity of the hotel but i just wanted to point how much english families let themselves down sometimes - the staff at the hotel shouldnt have to put up with this kind of behaviour, where are the parents?
there were plenty of excursions avaialble from the hotel which were all reasonabley priced (and gave us the opportunity to escape form the kids). Turkey is a beautiful country, with fantastic people but unfortunately i wouldnt go back to the hotel unless the price was reduced dramatically or i was ensured better entertainment and food!!!!!

Having done so, I felt that there was little difference between the two. ADR has a much better location because if you fancy a change of scene or want to watch sport in English then it is only a 15 min walk to Tugetries.
ROOM
Nice modern room and sofa bed for 6 year old. Sufficient space and plenty of storage. Wet room/shower tended to flood a little. Hotel has the hotest water of any hotel i've ever stayed at!!!! Hotel well set out and generally well signed.Check in was a little chaotic but eventually sorted.Room cleaned and refreshed every day but often not till late.
FOOD
Ate in main restaurant for breakfast and tea. Breakfasts a little repetitive but other wise food good. Beach restaurant for afternoon snack - burgers/pizzas/etc. We didn't bother with the specialist restaurants as they had different themed nights which included italian/fish/turkish etc. Turkish night was the best "Turkish" night I have experienced in 4 visits.
Would suggest that you check out the grills outside as they had some lovely meat dishes.
DRINK
Efes on draught. All others avilable - wine;shorts etc.Cold water readily available at any bar and in coolers on beach.
ENTERTAINMENT
Reps tried hard but limited by budget and working long days!!!!
Son enjoyed kids club and we were able to sit by waterslides pool which was next to kids club and keep an "eye" on him.
Watersports were good and well supervised.
Would go again but not in a rush, if you know what I mean!!

LOCATION:
Fantastic, it was far enough from Bodrum and Gumbet, but close enough if you wanted to go ther. The hotel supplies a free bus to Bodrum on Tuesday and Friday to tie in with the markets, but the market in Turgutries is much better on a Saturday. It was just a 10 - 15 minute walk along the promenade to Turgutries, which was a lovely walk, and a lovely town.
HOTEL
What can i say. It is the cleanest hotel i've ever been to! The rooms were quite nice, we were in the annexe, and the air con didnt work, so we paid to upgrade to a penthouse suite in the annexe, if you can afford the 25 euros per night, and there is one available, i would recommend it. The icing on the cake, a jacuzzi on the balcony with the best sunsets in Turkey!!
Theysupply dove soap and lux shower gel/shampoo and there is a hairdryer and free safe.
The staff are amazing - Mustaffa and Emin - you are legends.
FOOD
It's edible. Dont get me wrong, i've had worse, and i've had better. As others have said, breakfast is really catered for other europeans not brits, but even i (and i am fussy) found something to eat, even though i got fed up with pancakes and syrup!
Check out the grill outside, they have some great specials on, and the a la carte restaurants are great, especially the Turkish, you would pay a lot of money to eat the food in the location somewhere else.
DRINK
Efes on draught, spirits, wine and soft drinks all day from 10.00 til 2 am. There is no Bacardi or the local alternative, so if it's your tipple, take some with you.
STAFF
I have mentioned a few, but everyone who works there without exseption, is happy, polite and ready to help. They actually seem to enjoy working there, which makes a change.
ENTERTAINMENT
The watersports are fantastic, wind surfing, water skiing, pedalos, canoes and banana boat, all FREE, with FREE instruction as well.
Daily activities like darts, shooting, archery etc if you like that sort if thing, and the evening entertainment is a little to be desired, but i think they have a very limited budget.
OVERALL
We really enjoyed this holiday, there were a few niggles, but overall it was great. I think the test was, we actually said we would go back for a week later in the year if we can afford it.

All of the staff from the cleaners to the bar staff were great, always working hard and always smiling. The entertainment team were brilliant.
They worked hard and such long hours. Our 2 children aged 8+6 loved the mini disco and the evening shows, some of which were hilarious.
We always managed to get a couple of sun-loungers (without reserving them) by the activity pool, which is where the water-slides were. My daughter loved these and was constantly on them, also we could see our son who enjoyed going to the mini club where Gemma and Stephanie kept the children entertained.
I would recommend the boat trip booked through Murat, who walks around the hotel grounds. He does 2 different trips, one which includes a stop off at rabbit island and another one which stops at camel beach. They do about 5 or 6 different stops. We went on the camel beach one which we all really enjoyed, we had a camel ride there and they took a picture of us on the camels, also the photos were cheap to buy.
Oh my goodness...the food..I thought it was fantastic-just to my taste-such a variety. The food grilled at the far end of the outside eating area was the best barbecued food
I've ever tasted. There was a large selection of different salads and I've never seen such a selection of different desserts. The different themed nights in the restaurant were good, I thought the Turkish night was the best. The snack bar was fine for burgers, chips and pizza.
The free water sports were good. My daughter went on the banana boat ride quite a few times as there wasn't a queue.
A couple of things to mention would be the photographers by the pool, they seemed to be a bit 'much' constantly taking photos of the children, but after the first two days, we got used to them, they were pleasant enough guys and they did take some nice photos.
Also, I wasn't too keen on the dogs roaming around on the beach. I didn't mind the dogs as such, they were soft and friendly, but...they do have to do their business.. and I had a couple of near misses with the dog muck! apart from this I could not fault anything.
Our children sing and dance to the Aegean Dream mini disco C.D which we had bought, whenever they get the chance and when we hear the song "LIFE IS LIFE" it will always put a smile on our faces!
I would definitely return to this hotel!
