It was our first time to Turkey and I have to admit I was a little bit worried travelling to Turkey with a young family, especially after I had heard one or two comments mainly from people who visited Turkey years ago.

Upon arrival I thought it was fantastic, the hotel was spotless, the porters were very friendly and collected your luggage from your coach to your room.

The first morning I was amazed at the views from the restaurant area looking over the beach and hills in the distance.

Our room was cleaned every day and clean towels provided.

I have to admit I wish there was some bacon to make an English breakfast.

The pancakes and eggs in the morning were brilliant especially for the children.

The staff all spoke English some a little more than others but they were fantastic especially with the kids.

There was more than plenty to do during the holiday at the Aegean Dream Hotel and we hardly left the hotel except a trip to Dalyan ( which was too a long day, getting picked up at 0600 and returning at 2100 hrs).

The entertainment at night was very good, children loved the show at night and made it easy for us to keep an eye on them which having a drink or two.

I would recommend a turkey bath and massage in the spa ... very relaxing.

I would definitely go back to the hotel.

The photographers were very friendly and it was nice to see photos that were natural.

The water slides kept the children (and adults) busy.

ROOMS/SUITE

We were given a suite in the main block above the restaurant with a fab sea-view & a long balcony. The room LOOKED great; there were one or two flaws but all in all a great room. We had one bathroom with a Jacuzzi & a shower above the Jacuzzi, a loo & basin, lots of worktop space for toiletries, the toiletries were even of good quality (normally I never use them) there was lux shower gel & dove hand wash, they also supplied shower caps. The bath towels were huge, the biggest I

We have travelled all around the world, stayed in All inclusives in Cuba, Dom Rep, Egypt, Greek Islands another in Turkey, but this hotel is by far the best. Booked to go back again next May (08) already.

We paid just over

We stayed at this hotel for one week and I can honestly say that it was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable holidays I have ever encountered.

The location was great, however, where the complex was situated might not suit everyone as it was a 10-15 minute walk into Turgetreis, but that suited us fine.

All of the staff, in every area, were fantastic, always smiling and friendly.

We had a couple of problems with the facilities in our room, these being no electricity for a short time, no towels put in the room by the cleaner, our safe froze and we couldn\'t open it and a couple of other minor things, however, on reporting these problems to reception, someone came to our room, always within 5 minutes to sort the problem out, which they always did.

The cleanliness of the hotel was great, from what we saw there seemed to be cleaners constantly keeping the complex in order. Our room was kept spotlessly clean for us, absolutely no complaints.

The food was about the only thing that let the hotel down, I really can\'t say that it was 5*, more like 3.
We only ate breakfast on the first morning as breakfast isn\'t really our thing so it would be unfair to comment on what that meal was like. Lunch, we always ate in the snack bar which basically served the same thing every day. Pizzas, burgers, spaghetti, a bolognase sauce, chips and salad. The pizzas were gorgeous but you do get a bit sick of eating them every day. The evening meal was ok, but like others have said, it tended to be more or less the same thing every day. Basically, if you like to eat well on holiday, I wouldn\'t recommend this hotel, they do need to seriously upgrade their menus. I think that this is the first time that I have ever come back of holiday and have actually lost weight!! The waiters in the restaurant are lovely, very helpful and pleasant.

Whilst we were there, there was approx 45% English, 45% Dutch and 10% German & Belgian. We did tend to find that that \'some\' of the Dutch were a bit ignorant and obnoxious. One day whilst I was going into my room, two \'people\' walked past and made the comment of \"Ha! English!\" That wasn\'t the only comment that was said or the only \'rude\' experience I had. Also, on talking to some others, they had encountered similar experiences. Though saying that, we met some very nice Dutch people too. It\'s just unfortunate that a minority let them down.

We didn\'t really take part in any of the entertainment, though from what we saw, the animation team in the day worked very hard around the pool and on the beach and the evening entertainment in the amphitheatre always seemed very popular.

Another thing that we noticed was that there were very few children there, compared to a lot of other places that we have been to. Whether this was due to the time of year, I don\'t know. Even thought the hotel had water slides, I couldn\'t really see much else for older children, but that is my opinion.

It is a hotel that I would definitely visit again as the problem with the food not being great didn\'t really bother me all that much, but then again, it would be nice if improvements were made.

Sometimes you have a holiday that you really don\'t want to leave because you are having such a good time, this was one of those places.

Aegean dream hotel is a 5 star all inclusive resort set on the beach with amazing views in Turgetreis.

The cleanliness of the hotel in all areas from the restaurants to the pool areas and toilets was first class.

There was always a great choice of food in the main restaurant which is buffet style. There were a further 3 a la carte restaurants (Turkish, Italian and fish)where the only problem we found was not being able to eat everything!!! There was also a snack bar during the day serving salads, pizzas, kebabs, chips etc.

The hotel is situated approx 15mins from the town centre, which was a comfortable walk along the beach road, even with children. The views are spectacular as the hotel is set on the beach front, we spent our early evenings in the Starlight bar, watching the sun set - a view to die for!!

All of the staff were polite and friendly, always willing to help with any problems.

A brilliant animation team from 9.30am until 1am, were there to keep us entertained with a variety of games, activities and evening shows. Despite these long hours, their energy levels never dropped - this really enhanced our holiday experience.

We have already booked again for next year.

Hotel is located right on the beach and its only a short walk along the beach to the town centre.

Ffood can be a bit mundane but eat in the beach bar during the day. Three a la carte restaurants are available and 4 bars. The view from the starlight bar is fantastic and the sunsets are a sight to be seen. Emma & Jay the reps are really good and will make sure your kids are well entertained and looked after.

Our room was ok but lots of people were swapping rooms as they were not happy with where they were located in the hotel.

Well, this hotel completely shocked us when we got there. Our first impression was WOW this is beautiful! We arrived at 2 in the morning so we thought if it looks nice at that time it will look beautiful in the day, well we hoped so!

And we thought right. Every morning before breakfast you would catch a cleaner and when you came back they would be doing your room. The hotel was not dirty at all and in between meal time the staff always had the floor being cleaned before the next meal. You couldn't fault that.

We thought the hotel food was lovely. This was our second year at the hotel and chips were added to the menu which was better for little kids. There are 3 al'acarte restaurants and they were lovely. We thought that the seafood isn't very good if you have children as we found out. The Italian was lovely and the Turkish was our favourite. The open grill on a lunchtime and teatime was excellent.

The location of this hotel is perfect. It is right on the beach which is really nice and you can walk into town on a night which is not very far at all. You can just follow a path along the edge of the sea which is really relaxing when you hear the waves lashing against the shore.

The staff were fab and we made friends with a few of them which was nice. Mehmet one of the waiters was lovely to us and looked after us. They were always happy to help you and you could have a nice conversation, well if they could speak enough English.

The entertainment at this hotel was fantastic... all the team where amazing and worked so hard 2 keep everyone happy. The shows were really good and there were special nights some nights.

We would recommend this hotel to any family or couple looking either for a relaxation or fun holiday because you are definitely going to get it!

We (parents + 12 and 18 year old sons) spent three days at the Aegean Dream Resort last week and had a marvellous time. It was our first experience with all inclusive and, therefore, even though I cannot compare this hotel with other AI's, I can tell you that every aspect was absolutely excellent.

The hotel is only about 3 years old, shining clean, in rooms and public areas. Air conditioning worked like a dream ( so important in August).

Food was excellent - varied, right temperature, tasty, and always being served somewhere in the complex, no matter what hour of the day (Turkish pizza and salad fixings going on by the activity garden was enough lunch for us, but had we wanted to we could have eaten in the main dining room). There was ice cream outside of the main dining room after lunch and dinner. We are not big alcoholic beverage drinkers, so we had no problem with their selection (although I did not see anything other than local ones in the bar areas..this may bother some).

The staff at the reception desk and customer relations were very helpful, the room was straightened up each day, bathroom cleaned, new towels, etc. etc. Perfect cleanliness everywhere.

The animation team were adorable and non-intrusive, and the volume level of the music was kept to a little over background level, which was great. There were loads of activities around the pool if you wanted them, lots and lots of mattresses and beach loungers near the beach, plenty of shades and the amazing breeze off the Aegean sea which kept us cool all the time, even in the stifling August weather..we didn't sweat at all, waterslides in a separate garden from the pool, outdoor movies at night....sorry, I know I am a little disjointed here, but don't want to miss anything important. OH! There are 2 private jetties that jut out into the water, with loungers and body pillows....an amazing way to watch the sun go down. The Turkish bath and steam rooms were brilliant (and we even made friends with a young family from Holland while steaming). We didn't take advantage of the in-house spa massages as they were very expensive.

We chose to walk the 15 minutes to town (Turgutries)
in the evenings rather than stay at the hotel, although there were shows put on by the animation team, and also a disco for those who like it. It's a nice walk in the evening and the bazaar goes on until very late. Plenty of places to grab a bite or a drink in the town, and a huge market on Saturdays. This is important, because when you first see the hotel, you get the (correct) impression that it is kind of free-standing and there isn't much doing in the neighbourhood itself. But take heart...the town is really a nice little stroll away (good to work of too-much-dinner).

To sum up....have no doubts about this hotel if you are planning a family trip. There is something for everyone, and enough for the kids to do so that you can relax by the beach (right by the pool). I forgot to mention the free billiards table and internet room, which our sons took full advantage of, also free watersports (kayak, pedal boat, banana, windsurfing).

We will certainly stay here next time in Turkey.
