Turgutreis is a fifteen minute walk from the hotel but it is a pleasant walk along the beach or promenade. It has lots of cafes/restaurants which are quite reasonable, even the locals greet you as you walk along.

In town La Villa (overlooking the beach)is a good value place to eat good for fish and the Sultan Kebab is reccommended!(dinner for two with bottle wine around £60). MIGROS super market is probably the cheapest for all round food shopping. BIM is good for small items and nibbles (like netto or ALDI)On the whole, for a quiet two weeks, we enjoyed Turgutreis.

Turgutreis, well, possibly one of the nicest places we have ever visited, lovely walk from the hotel in any direction. The streets were clean, no high rises, and the beach area was fabulous.
We liked the walk past the Aegean Dreams onto the little beach. Lovely. Benches and walls to sit on. Wonderful bars to stop at, and friendly courteous locals, who would gladly wave and try a few words in English, believe me, better than my Turkish, but they appreciated the fact that I tried............lol
Everything priced in Lira, which is brilliant, although they accept any currency. It was winding down a little when we were there, although still busy, but more room to move.
I will be back into this area of Bodrum as often as possible. Fantastic.

We visited Turgutreis a couple of times to go to the famous market, it was what we expected, extremely hot and crowded. Adequete shops.

The resort of turgetreis is about 10-15 minutes walk along the sea front.
Few shops and bars quite lively at night.
There is a market once a week on a Saturday you have to barter only offer half of what they are asking,if you go go early 9am because it gets busy about 11am when all the bus trips arrive

The resort was spot on so clean faultless
Didnt go out of the hotel too much to give you a run down on the entertainment outside the hotel as for us there was enough to keep us happy in the hotel really.
As the beach was private it was kept clean, did find lots of ciggy stumps in the sand which i found a littel dissapointing but then if they dont have ashtrays scattered around what can you expect.
I would most definatley go back to this resort but only to the La Blance Hotel, it was spectacular & by far the besty hotel in Turgetries. One bit of advice & please if you have never been to Turkey before take note, dont think on your return journey you will pick something up from the airport at Bodrum, they rob you soft, the prices are extortionate, a burger & chips cost 28 lira (whichi is £10.00 in our money) believe me it was a small portion. Just take something from the restraunt with you & some water to as we were allowed to take water through passport control at Bodrum Airport. If you fancy a last bit of duty free shopping at Bodrum Airport be prepared for the touts in the duty free shop, they are a nightmare, they just dont leave you alone.

Enjoyed the resort close to town centre and in good walking distance ten minutes at most. Shops and bars a bit of a pain asking you constanly to come in but after two weeks got used to it a bit more. Would love to return to this hotel had such a good time.

Turgetries is about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel along a lovely prom.It is very picturesque all the buildings are white. There is a large market there on a Saturday. We didn't bother with the entertainment because we stayed in the hotel. But there are bars if you want a change from the hotel. The beach is spotless and there are water sports and boat trips available.
