the resort itself was great, take the time to walk to the marina it's beautiful and if you're into your designer gear you'll enjoy. the market on a saturday is an experience we went early and it was mobbed but lots of bargains to be had especially if like my husband you barter, my son got football strips for 10 lira each so he was in heaven. i must admit i found it a bit intimidating that the stall holders were in your face the minute you tried to look at something but if you tell them you want peace to look they were fine. if you fancy a change of seen nutters bar if great, great food, great entertainment and a great laugh and some very cute waiters ladies. we found the resort to be very clean, no dogs dirt etc. one thing that started to annoy me was people trying to get you into their restaurants but once you explained you were staying at La Blanche they soon stopped bothering you, knowing that it's all inclusive. we would definatley visit here again and are considering it for next year

There was a man made beach that was cleaned everynight.
The views from the pier were stunning especially when the sun was setting. We had a great holiday there and it was our first time abroad. We have set our standards high after staying here as it was beautiful....and if you go you need to try the pide. Yum.

We absolutely loved Turgutreis, it was our second visit there although the last time was 11 years ago.
There’s lots of places to eat and drink, our favourites were:
Can (this is the only restaurant we can remember from our last visit in 1998).
The adana kebab, spicy meatballs, liver and stuffed aubergines are particularly good.
A bottle of dry white wine at 20TL was one of the cheapest around.
They seem to be really busy on Sundays for traditional Sunday Lunch.
We also enjoyed Uncle's, near the bottom of Bar Street. The guys who run it are great, so friendly. They'll be happy to cook anything not on their menu.
Fab antep ezme and aubergine/tomato/garlic mayonnaise starters and the guvec (casserole) is very good.
Hasan's Place, not far from Can, was good too. They do a big range of different kebabs - shepherd's spicy kebab, adana kebab, Hasan's kebab, spicy meatballs were our favourite.
We ate once at Osmanli and the food was lovely but the wine was very expensive. They have a separate wine list and the cheapest was around 65TL.
They are obviously trying to offer something different but it put us off a return visit as we like wine with our meal but didn't want to pay as much as £25 or more for it.
Although I've not mentioned English food, all these places offer steak, chicken and fish so cater for all tastes.
One thing I would say is that the portions in all restaurants are massive. We started off by ordering starters but that only lasted until the 2nd day when we realised the limits of our appetites.
Oh, and most places served the free bread that puffs up (if you've seen it you'll know what I mean) with garlic butter.
Some people seem to find it annoying or intimidating to be approached by people wanting you to look at their menu but we just treated it as part of the holiday and always stopped for a chat.
On market days, we ate at Alo24.
They did lovely pide, we had mince and cheese pide, lahmacun, 2 beers and a FREE salad of tomato, lettuce, cucumber for 20TL total.
It's quite hard to find when the market is on though as the street looks so different.
There are a number of tour companies offering all the trips that your rep can do at roughly half the price.
We did a full day tour to Ephesus which was great but it as a very long day – pickup at 6am, return at 20:00.
We didn’t stay round our hotel pool, we used the FREE sun beds on the public beach. These are sort-of attached to bars/restaurants but I don’t think it’s obligatory to buy food and drink although we did.
You can get dolmus (mini buses) into Bodrum and also direct to Gemusluk/Yalikavak and Akyarlar in the opposite direction for around 3.5TL.
We would definitely choose to return to Turgutreis.

The resort is very clean and on every walk into the centre there was always somebody sweeping the streets.
Had a night on bar street which was fantastic, prices in Turkey have gone up but still cheaper than Spain and home.
Not much of a beach in resort, apparently some very nice ones a short dolmus ride away.

Tugutreis is only a comparatively small resort and the season was only just starting when we were there.
It's very quiet during early May but was starting to liven up a bit by the end of our stay. There is a pleasant walk along the promenade towards the La Blanche Hotel and the Marina area is very pleasant as well.

We ventured into Turgetreis on a couple of occasions once on the Dolmus and once walking along the beach which took about 45mins.
All in all this is a great hotel and I would recommend it to friends and family.

Lots of places closed due to late season.Dogs (and dogs mess!!) a problem on the promenade.Fabulous views out to sea but a bit too cold to swim regularly due to the strong offshore winds.

Resort was clean but most places were closed for the winter the resort entertainment was therefore zero. The Saturday market was a disappointment not because of lack of stalls but because the stall holders were rude and nagged to much to much hassle to look, silly people don't they realise we would buy more if they left us alone to look. I got really anoyed and got out of there as quickly as poss and I went to buy! The beach looked nice in the private area's belonging to the hotels only. We would visit this resort again but at the beginning of the season when things would be open.

the resort was very good, but nothing to do in the evenings and a bit isolated, there is a bus into town and that was a good service and not expensive. day time entertainment was good but evenings were very poor. the beach was lovely, plenty of beds and shades, towels provided and very clean, hotel and rooms all very clean and new, ther was an annex that some people were put in and they had plenty to complain about, cockcroaches and dirty, we were lucky to be in main part of hotel

market day can get busy on a saturday we went early to avoid crowds, plenty of the usual stuff, you do get a bit bored after 15 minutes because its t-shirts, handbags and shoes all the same.but plenty of bargains so haggle.
