Food superb, certainly 5 star standard (having cruised quite a lot, the food was just as delicious as on the large cruise ships.Restaurants are all excellent, we enjoyed the Moonlight restaurant, but equally the Marina restaurant was great for breakfast,(a little quieter) The Lykia Buffet restaurant was also extremely good, staff friendly and helpful.Enjoyed the Dolphin Fish restaurant right on the beach, what a setting!Sushi restaurant had panoramic views over towards Fetihye. There are waiters serving you everwhere. No long wait for drinks at any of the bars. (as previously experienced on AI holidays)
Hotel cleanliness was excellent, plenty of WCs throughout the complex which was always kept to a very high standard of cleanliness.
Hotel Location was great, the water dolmus every half hour,if you did not wish to take the water dolmus taxis always available outside reception.
Hotel staff were very professional and highly trained, but still made time to be friendly towards all nationalities.
Entertainment was first class. Annimation team were so very professional. The shows were not the typical holiday entertainment they were as good as some of the West End shows.
We stayed at this hotel in May 1999 and enjoyed it very much then, but it now exceeds all expectations! The evenings become alive, all seating is placed with cushions, trees lit up, it is like a paradise village square Highly recommend to all families, we are a retired couple, even so very young at heart and enjoyed joining in the activities. There is something for everyone. Already considering booking for September 2009. Spoke to many holiday makers who had visited Letoonia for the 5th and 6th time in succession.

We arrived about 2am and had a walk around and a drink in the hotel bar. When we got up the next morning there was water pumping out from under the toilet which filled the bathroom then leaked into the bedroom. We asked to be moved and by 11.30am we had another room. We did speak to the rep but found speaking to the hotel direct, quicker and easier (even with the language barrier!)
The ferry boat is nolonger free and they charge 10 YTL return.
The food is fantastic and plenty of choice. The fish and sushi restaurant are worth booking but we felt the kebab restaurant wasnt all that. (we got charged a bottle of wine in the fish restaurant, but later found out that if we had ordered the wine by the glass it would have been free!) We had to book the restaurants between 9-10am on the day you wish to go.
We felt the cocktails were very weak (depending on which barman you get) and landed up ordering a cocktail plus a double shot of "whatever drink" to make a decent cocktail. Also they seem to make the cocktails up as they go along. The staff are really friendly and will wait on you if you ask nicely. Although there is a bar on every beach so your never that far away.
We found the hotel quite quiet and not full. It was easy to find a seat but I prefer abit of action and I felt after the entertainment finished at 11pm there was nothing to do.
We would definatly come back here again and next time we will take our children but not till they are about 10, as we felt this hotel was more suited to older children/teenagers.

There are plenty of sunbeds throughout the complex, however if you dont want to sunbath around the main pool with the games and music etc, you will need to get your sunbed early (Not up with the lark, probably by about 9.30-10am). Food and drink is available all day long with snacks including icecream, tea and cakes, doughnuts and popcorn one evening. The food choice is very good with lots on offer, even for kids. All dishes include signs with all ingredients, which is good for people with allergies! Most nights there is a theme, kebabs, fish, turkish etc. Little tip if you want Smirnoff Vodka or any branded drinks, tip the waiter and ask for it, you'll get it. Tipping is not expected like in a lot of A/I places, there are tip boxes around the complex which you can just add to if you feel like. The entertainment is quite good, there is a large animation team who do the evening shows themselves, which included fire eating, dancing, comedy sketches and glass walking! All the staff are happy to help, all you need to do is ask.
There are alot of different nationalties at Letoonia, I would say in order of the most its 1 Russians, 2 British, 3 Germans, 4 Belgiums. All in all a fanastic place, in a lovely environment! We have always said we wont go back to the same place twice, but with Letoonia we will definately be going back.

This in no way ranked as a 5* in our opinion.
We booked a hotel room and was allocated a chalet (Club Room).
The club room we were initially allocated had no balcony and certainly no sea view as paid for and promised.
The second allocation was at the top of 101 concrete steps but did offer a sea view and balcony, but..
Care should be taken as not all the stairs have a hand rail.
The plaster on the walls were in dire need of repair and a spot of paint would not have gone amiss.
The carpet in the room was heavily stained and was sticky underfoot.
The maid service was poor and not frequent enough for a 5* establishment.
People with young children should be aware this is not a child friendly resort for safety purposes.
Nor is it suitable for infirmed or any form of disability.
Think of spending a fortnight as a mountain goat.
The accomodation in my mind is more equal to a 2*(unless you can secure a hotel room)
The facilities offered by the complex though are definately to a higher standard.
The bars and restaurants were top class.
The food offered was varied and equal to anything we have enjoyed so far.
Do not be conned into queuing for a chance to visit one of the specialised restaurants, they are disappointing and not equal to either the Moonlight or main restaurant.
I'm convinced they use the theme places to take some of the weight away from the superior main places.
The hotel complex also offers saunas showers massage and is definately worth visiting frequently after a long day on the sun bed.
The staff were helpful when approached.
The hotel location is great if you are staying on complex for your entire holiday, but a hotel bus would not go amiss for when the free ferry is full (as it is Everyday)
Entertainment team really pulled out all the stops and we enjoyed several shows. But probably not to everyones taste. Good for familes and grandparents dire if your young at heart or indeed young.
We found the first choice people in complex and resort useless. They did not help with health and safety issues and indeed told us a lot of nonesense about how the hotel failed in health and safety but climbing concrete steps with no hand rails and little light met their criteria.
It is our opinion we were sold a holiday that we did not get.
I cannot say the same for hotel staff who helped us as best they could.
If you do not expect perfection you really could enjoy a holiday here, but if you expect 5* accomodation and facilities you may come home disappointed.
Would we visit club letoonia again ?
yes, at the right price and if we could stay in the Hotel and not a club room.
The best part of our Holiday for Lynn and I was the company we met while away.
Suggestion.
Read the coments book in reception on arrival not when going home. It will give you a good idea of things to do and avoid while your there.
It will also give you an indication of the type of holidaymaker that use this complex.
