Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

icmeler is a beautiful resort and my favourite place having visited turkey 30 times in the last 10 years
the last 5 in icmeler it is my little bit of paradise
the scenery is breathtaking it is surrounded by pine
forests. the standard of cleanliness is first class
and of course the people are so friendly and helpful.

We were a group of 2 couples 36-45 age and enjoy a late drink, but not into night clubs (although a good rock club wouldnt have gone amiss!).
We stayed in fantastic apartments, but unfortunately I thought there was too much in Icmeler and it was really spread out, also most of it being on the main road you didn't get the chance for a relaxed stroll (unless canal or front). I can't say there was anything wrong with it, but we prefer traditional places and we only found two restaurants that were traditional (and didn't serve chips with everything - not that you couldn't say you didn't want them of course). Hanaden, Kerem, Waterfall were our favourites in the main area and as we were in the old town we ate at Cuban and Love Star which were both really nice.
We did go to the Stella show twice though and found it absolutely hilarious. We were two couples and both men were terrified at first and weren't sure what to expect but loved it.
We did miss finding some nice quiet bars just to chat and have a relax.
We've been to Olu Deniz twice and have to say we do favour it as it is a bit more laid back and quiet but if you want some noise, dancing and music you can easily find it.

Very good entertainment every night. The Dream Boys Restaurant and bar is not to be missed for food and entertainment. The best food without a doubt is The Chef, excellant service and food (look out for Elvis). Everywhere was so clean. Beach is sandy and loads of sunbedsfor just £1 or 2.5 lira for all day. Everyone very welcoming. Will visit again.

Last visited Icmeler 3 years ago and the beach front promanade has been greatly improved. The night life has something for every body and if Icmeler is not lively enough you can alawys go into Marmaris.

Resort lovely - clean and has a beautiful beach. We found the waiters much less 'pushy' this time and a gentle 'no thank you' was enough - banter always polite and as usual, Turkish people very welcoming. Brilliant bar in centre of town - PRINCE BAR - great staff - thanks again to ALI and HAKAN for looking after us, entertainment and food great - worth a visit - opposite fountains/tourist info centre -just before you reach the beach. Also had a GREAT TRIP DIVING WITH ARJEN & DENISE on 'KATIE's DIVING BOAT TRIP - can be booked direct with Arjen in the Marina in Marmaris for £20 for the whole day - we were beginners but had great dives and help from expert friendly instructors - well worth the money - includes training, x2 30 mins dives (loads of fish around us!) and lunch - glad we did this and lovely to meet Arjen and Denise - good luck with the new boat. We will be returning to Icmeler - its a brilliant resort, lots to do and see and, personally I feel much nicer than 'spralling' marmaris as this lovely area cannot 'grow' anymore and retains it's 'cove-like' feel. We will be back - hopefully before the end of 2011!! Happy Holidays!!!

Have been to Icmeler twice and will definately be going back. Cant really comment on the beach as we didnt spend any time there - didnt need to with the excellent pool at the appartments. Try visiting Richards Place best food and friendly staff excellent get you drunk type of drinks (the put more vodka or southern comfort in ever)

as we have been going to icmeler for 11 years, we have seen many many changes, some good some bad but this year the one thing that in a way upset me was the under ground market, ok the council decided to close the market, but i could'nt believe the stae they have left it in, it looks like a mini was zone, i do hope they clean this up. alos the canal is not the same with out the stalls, and its very quiet down there, but i think if you have never been to icmeler you wouldnt even know they had been there aprt from the numbers on the wall......all in all icmeler is a fantastic place for a nice quiet relaxing holiday, thers everything there you could wish for, if you want noisey disco then you can have it but if you want a quiet pint opr four, then again you can get it, the turks are fantastic people, who will do anything for you i defy anyone to visit icmeler and not want to go back........
