This was a poor choice of accommodation there were numerous better hotels in Olu Deniz.
The rooms at the Blue Lagoon were small with virtually no storage space. Our room did not have one drawer in it. The balcony was microscopic but the bathroom was nice out of character with the other facilities.
The buffet breakfast was OK but limited, very little variety.
We overlooked the pool which meant we suffered from noise from the pool bar in the evening well past midnight.
We found the hotel to be "money grabbing" and to be charged

Small rooms with no storage space and a tiny balcony. The bathroom had been modernised but in the evenings the lighting was bad and we could not see to read. Disturbed by the noise from the pool bar at night.
We found the staff charming as long as you spent money.
The Blue Laggon hotel certainly was not worthy of its 3* classification.
Looking round the resort most other 3* hotels had better facilities.

The Blue Lagoon is a quiet area of the resort towards the back of the town. The rooms are small but clean, the bathroom excellent but a tiny balcolny. Air conditioning included in the price and a real bonus. You can hire a mini fridge for

There were lots of good points about the Blue Lagoon hotel. It was not too large, one of the best bathrooms we have seen and the room was cleaned regularily. It had Air conditioning but a smaller than average balcolny. The staff were generally very friendly and helpful. There was an excellent swimming pool with plenty of free sunbeds and umbrellas.
It was situated in a quiet area but it was at the back of the resort so it was a steady 15 minute walk to the beach. The buffet breakfast was OK plenty of it but it was generally the same every day. A bit more variety would not have gone astray. We had warm frankfurters one day, a real treat!!.

The Blue Lagoon is set nicely out of town, but still only about 3 minutes from the nearest shops and restaurants, and 10-12 minutes to the beach. I have stayed there twice before and am going back this year for another week. The group of people I go with range from 29 years old (me) to the oldest being 46. We all have a great time there, and the staff have always been helpful and friendly. Although I wouldn't describe the accomodation as luxurious, it is fine for our needs, and there are too many other ejoyable things to do in Olu Deniz to worry about how effective the lights are or how big the balcony is. The bar has plenty of cold drinks, so why do you need a fridge? Also, although I will agree that music is played most of the time in the pool area, it isn't too intrusive, and none of our party have never been kept up at night due to the volume of the music. The swimming pool is never over populated, so there is no trouble getting a decent place around the pool. I would definately recommend this place to couples and family groups from 21 yrs to 50 years, who enjoy socialising and having a goods time.
Rather than get a package holiday, try booking your flights with britannia, and e-mail the hotel directly to get a VERY good price, they will also organise a transfer for you.
If anyone feels they have paid too much to stay at this hotel, you have probably paid over the odds to a travel agent!
