I hope you're right Robby - we've got until Easter for it to pull its socks up. It's atrocious at the minute - just another way of getting us to join the Euro.

Same for me! Going to be having a very credit-crunched Easter holiday unless it picks up soon! We were complaining last summer when it was €1.20, I would be happy with that now!

I got 1.02 from an ATM in Tenerife and then 1.04 from one in La Palma when we were there over new year. Even 2 coffees and 2 cakes were costing nearly a tenner!

I'd gladly take 1.20 now.

I think I would as well right now for my next holiday.
It's moving up slowing and broke the €1.11 barrier, let's see what happens at midday with the B of E announcment.

It's 1.11 in the shops now Robby? Or is that 1.11 for the banks and we'd get 1.04 or something?

That's not the exchange rate in the shops, but you would get that with a Nationwide card, or the rate at the day, remember it fluctuates hundreds of times an hour.
But it's on the move.

I antisipate 3 euros to the pound by the end of the day!!! :D

0.5% cut in base rate and so far a positive affect on the euro, keep it coming. :tup

Get a Nationwide card if you haven't already got one, you'll get around €1.11 to the £.
It seems to have stuck at around the €1.11 mark which is a bit disappointing, hoping to get past €1.15 by next weekend. :tup
Could have been worse though!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi. Yes we've been using a Nationwide card on hols for the past couple of years :) Let's hope it starts to go up again soon.

Slowly moving up, but taking it's time.
Nudging towards €1.13, just can't seem to break through.
Still, it's not been a bad start to 2009, hopefully it will get back to "normal" by the summer.
