You and me too Lin!!! Did the same with a red sarong!!!!! I even tried the Dylon stuff that is supposed to 'set' the colour....nope.....! Although the second time I put it in on its own.....lovely red water!!!!
I think we should all stop extolling the vitues of Goa. Have you tried to book for this season? Prices have gone silly due to the disaster in Sri Lanka & Thailand. Also I think we all talk about Goa too much. We should keep it to ourselves before it is over run by the lager louts of spain.
sadly its only a matter of time
They have come out perfectly dyed, but nothing goes with a salmon pink towel and 1 pillow case (except my underwear and a towelling turban)
Know what you mean about keeping it 'our' secret...and LOVE it when I see it on the holiday programmes...priced way above the 'normal' tourists budget!!! I've still got a good deal though booked a few weeks back...£379 pp for 2 weeks. It helps if you're flexible regarding dates...we fly out next Saturday!
Everytime I go to Goa I take home a lot of good memories, mostly the warm nature of Goan people.
personally i cant talk about goa enough. and i disagree with you that we should keep it to ourselves. i love the place.
and everyone on this forum are already goa addicts. so talking about it here i dont think will make much difference to the number of people who go there.
I have to agree with you because I can't stop talking about the place, in fact I have become a Goan Bore! I hope the place never changes but then again I would love to see less of the poverty.
Don't think lager louts would put up with that many hours on a plane with not a lot to drink ... seems to me they'd rather get there quick and get drunk ...!!
It's happening already, only it was girls they looked about 14/ 15 were very drunk and pulling stock from someones stall and throwing it around, this was around 11pm and the guys had spent ages folding and packing it away as they also sleep in the stalls.
hi lin i think the little cows want a slap for doing that
Quite agree cartman, was very tempted myself, what i would like to know is where are the parents, and why do they allow kids of this age to get so Rat
I got an Enfield from India 9 years ago and now end up bringing parts back. You should see the look on the customs face back in the UK when i walk towards them holding a full exhaust system,Especially as I look a bit like Bin Ladin
its idiots like this that will spoil goa(i hope it never happens)
i dont know what their parents think of them doing things like that ,im sure my parents would have gone crazy,
k&j
It's probably been said (can't be bothered to read the whole lot today) but I always bring home a good tan, white stripes and mosquito bites... Oh, and the urge to return as quickly as possible once the doors of the plane open in London/Manchester!
What would you say were the best buys in Goa? I thought it would be good for newbies to see recommendations under one thread. ( If you have any "don't bother buying" items you can mention them as well!)
Kings
On a more serious note.
