Nobody has reminded the new holiday makers that they will ave to take nappysacs for the used toilet roll as you cannot put it down the toilet due to the wastage pipes not being able to cope.
Its not as bad as it sounds as there is a bin provided for you to put it in and the maid comes every day to empty it. I just wanted to make sure that people know and don't forget to take them.

Marion, I hadnt even given the toilet thing a second thought better bulk buy on the nappy sacks with all my rug rats.
Thanks loads

My theory whilst there seeing the problems that they had with the drains is that some families despite the warnings were still putting loo paper down the toilet causing them to flood some of the apartments near us in the Tropical. That is not FC or the pegasus' fault but if only we could all use a bit of common sense.
Hopefully the holiday makers this year will have a better time than we did, even if it is only the Palace that is opened. If everything at the palace is running as it should then they will have a great holiday.
Marion
marion... yes your right i'd forgotten all about the nappy sacks, i'm trying to think if ive forgotten anything else now
Hayley/John, try not to worry about forgetting anything, we just make a check list about a month before we go and gradually tick things off as we pack. Regarding Pegasus, Mozzie repel a must, a couple of water bottles to fill up from the dispensers to put in your fridge, a decent first aid kit, spare beach towels and dioralyte which helped me out when ill - oh and nappy sacks lol!! nearly forgot them. We also took more sun cream than necessary and are glad we did because found the onsite shops expensive. Also we took a few travel games which came in very handy of an evening, however I hope sincerely that FC have got their act together regarding entertainment and feel sure that they will have and that you'll go and have a fab holiday!!
really looking forward to going and cant wait to hear what the first guests of this year think to the place..... hope you all have a great time

I called First Choice today to enquire about certain flight times to The Palace in 2007.
The operator told me she was going out there herself soon and she was really looking forward to it because they are sending new English chefs over there and a new entertainment team so it should be good.
Alex, that sounds promising, I'm really looking forward to hearing the first reviews and maybe we'll get some from people whilst there using the onsite internet facilities.
I'm hoping too that those going out the first week will leave some good reports as we don't go until the 15th.
Still no letter from First Choice mind you!

Hi everyone!!Has anybody like me had both their room changed and airport changed.First Choice has decided to pull out of the Humberside flight after September 11th,that is the latest flight at the moment.FC sent the letter on the 8th and i have recieved it this morning via our local branch of FC.I have to supposedly send the form back by Saturday, a phone call would have been nice in the first instance. It seems i was not destined to go to PP this year and shall not bother with FC again. All other operators are still using this flight.Hmm
Me and my boyfriend (both 18) have just booked today to go to PP,i was very impressed with the price for AI and the pools and apparments looked great.
I am now having second thought from the amount of bad reviews i have read!I have heard alot about stomach upsets and ear infections has anyone who has visited recently had these problems??? i am not really fussy with the food i am not expecting top notch but i dont want uncooked meat.
Can someone help me with a few q's?
*How far away is pp from Sarigerme town and is there much worth seeing/doing there?
*I would really like to go paragliding,is this still an option?
*is it better to be buying mosquito repellent over here brfore we go?
*What alcoholic drinks are included in the AI ,i have just turned 18! i can't be let down haha
*Can you sunbathe on the beach?
*Is there any recommended beaches or places to go?
*does any one know anyone else going on the same date as us,especially younder people?
thanks for reading, someone pleeeease help me out,i have been so excited about booking a holiday and now i am worried i have picked the wrong one.

Not long til we go now (May 15th). Trying to start getting everything organised, so I just need to get some advice on what currency to take. I remember from last year that lira, euros and sterling were all being used there, but what is it best to take and in what sort of amounts?
There are us 2 and our 2 children (10&5) and we are planning on doing a few trips, eating out in Sarigerme a few times, kids want to do soccer school, etc. Any advice on what to take and how much will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Emma.
my lot did the parasailing and loved it, it was'nt run by first choice so maybe they will be there again this year, they told us they would be
saregarme is'nt far from the palace and there are taxis outside the hotel all the time and they are cheap, there are alot of shops selling designer labels (most are very good fakes) there is a market there on sundays but it also came to the hotel on tuesday. i think there were plans to make saregarme more attractive to tourists so maybe they have done that over winter.
you can sunbathe on the beach, its not a brilliant beach but maybe they have improved it a bit.
i think that its better to buy mozzie repellent here but thats just my opinion.
not sure whether they will have changed the all inclusive drinks this year but last year it was beer, gin, vodka, brandy, raki, red/white wine, soft drinks... think that was it.
hope this has helped.

andy&emma... we took sterling, euros and lira, you can use them all.

i feel alot better about it after hearing you're going back after a trip!and i am soooo excited hehe

thanks again!

Candy, long range weather forecast for the Dalaman region shows mostly sunshine with temperatures in the mid to high 70's. However! we went mid summer last year and temperatures were predicted in the 30's but it regularly hit the 40's and I've used the same forecast servive so you may get higher temps than the 70's who knows. Have a great holiday!
