Hi,

Booked for the PP, but just wondered if anyone knows when the PT will re-open. I am not going until mid Sept, but would you think that they would both be open and operating then?

Thanks very much!

Hi GE, rumour had it earlier in the tread that PT would only be open July and August but don't know if that's changed. Hope you have a great holiday.

Thanks.

Has anyone that's decided to cancel/change been successful? Seems we can do it, but will incur 40% fees.

Just wondered if anyone has successfully argued the fact that it is not a described.

Any advice should we wish to canx welcome. Booked on-line 4 wks ago with First choice.

Thanks very much.

GE, it will be best to trawl back through this thread from maybe mid feb of this year. Some people have cancelled and some have transferred whilst many have continued with their arrangements at PP. You will see varying levels of success with FC. Whatever you decide, have a great holiday.

Thanks again.

Just been in contatc, and they seem very helpful.

They say that both will be open from 15th July 2006. Should that not be the case, the they say that anyone staying at either will be offered a full refund, as it is not as described.

Hope that help anyone travelling after 15th July.

Cheers!

Hiyya, can anyone save me reading through pages of posts and tell me why PT is not opening this year? You would think that after the fiasco last year and indeed the previous year with Blue Bay in Corfu that FC would have learnt a lesson - apparently not.

I managed to cancel last year and had a free change of accommodation 4 days before we were due to travel. Anyone who really wants to do this should just phone and plague FC until they give in - that's what I did. Phone calls, recorded delivery letters etc etc until I wore them down.

GE90 - I cancelled and was given a full refund 2 weeks ago. I changed to Lykia World, same date, same flight. I was also given a free child place as when I originally booked to PP last year I had a free child place then. I was very unhappy about the fact there is nothing to do on the beach. I understand there is a turtle problem and the beach isnt particularly that special, but I could not understand why take away the few non-motorised sports that were obviously successfully on offer last year! I am sure there is plenty to do at this complex but you will be confined to this if the beach isnt offering anything and this wasnt for us. Hope you make the right choice. Fight for what you want - you will get it.

Hi Guys

Can anyone tell me how much the parasailing (think thats what it is called) is for 2 people?
Is it best to book via FC or are there people on the beach you can book it with?
Also anyone that did it what payment was preffered sterling/lira? and was it good....i looked at one of the photos in the pp album and it looks good.....does it last long?

Thanks
Vicky

I am assuming it will still be available this year??

I was told there would be no watersports on the beach this year, motorised or non-motorised because of the turtles! Thats why we cancelled.

6.kids club, our daughter will be nearly 3, will she be allowed in the bugs bunny club or will she have to go in the creche?

Vicky - go with the people on the beach who actually come round the pools with their cards.

Emma, White rum(bacardi) is included but no cocktails, yes there are kids playgrounds, food is iffy but plenty of it, salads are good as is the selection of fruit but the warm food is the iffy bit, didn't pay for the fish restaurant cos it wasn't open when there, room choice I don't know cos mine were 15 and 8 and the jacuzzi suite was very nice. 1 Bedroom with king size bed and a large lounge with decent pull out sofa bed.

Hope this helps.

Suebar, I can't honestly remember any non motorised watersports being available on the beach supplied by FC. They probably realised that the currents are far too strong and the steeply shelving drop into the water doesn't help either.

Thanks Barnio i thought it would be best to book with the beach people............i really hope it is available, i just took it to mean Fc were not operating any non motorised watersports so i thought there might be still other people doing watersports.(isnt parasailing classed as motorised anyway....maybe not i might be having a blonde moment!!!!)
Oh well we will find out next month when people start returning.
If anyone did it and knows the price how long it lasts etc that would be great.

Cheers

Vicky, don't know the price but they have their own hut on the Pegasus Tropical side and a Gazebo type thing on the beach. I am almost certain that they are independant from FC and they seemed to give very long parasailing rides all day. The boats look fantastic and the guys selling the service were very pleasant people who would also take you out on boat trips at a negotiated price. We were offered a chance to go to a lagoon for snorkelling but the problem was my wife was scared to go on the boats and the kids were enjoying the slides so much in the first week that I couldn't drag them away.

I was advised that their are no non-moterised watersports. Has anyone been told anything different?

hi vicky, i think the parasailing was £25 for a double and £35 for a triple not sure of the price if you go on yor own. not sure exactly how long it lasts but i'd say approx 15-20 mins per go.

when we were there in september rum (bicardi) was definately not included in the all-inclusive deal. you might have been able to buy it, and perhaps its differant this year, but last year my wife had to drink vodka for the whole two weeks.
