Hi Everyone

We are a family of four (two girls 9 and 2) and we have also transferred to PP from Kos ABC.

We travel on 26 June from Manchester for two weeks.

Having read the reviews from this year and seen the PP photo album we are all really looking forward to our first visit to Turkey.

I understand there may be a problem with mozzies but am not too concerned - will just take protection and hope for the best.

Thanks

Sacko,

We too have transferred from Kos (Damn FC!) and we too are well looking forward to it now after seeing the pictures.

I have read that the mozzies are getting sprayed in the evenings in the village but not sure if they are doing the hotel yet.

We are not bothering but are considering taking our own sunbeds!

Hayley,

Thanks very much for resting our fears of the illnesses. Not sure why the infections of the ear are there int he first place (Is there some bugs in the water?). I am worried about tummy bugs as I was put in hospital by one, 1 day before our wedding!

Thanks very much and have a great time in July, we look forward to hearing about any tips or avoidances you may have!

lol mcfester you wont need to take sunbeds...there are loads ,the things you will have problems getting(and we went in september,so dread to think what its like high season)are the mattresses that go on them ,people take them back to there rooms,as they are scarce and there was no where near enough of them,no reps told people not to remove them which was realy annoying!!we managed to get 2 on about our 4th day there and we were only there for a week!!a good tip for people with kids concerning the pools...either take your own inflatables, budget to buy them there,as there are loads for sale and not cheap!!!or do what we did ,get freindly with familys who are due to fly home and most of them will give you there inflatables for free as they dont want to take them home!!we got an air bed and blow up tyre, but saw familys getting inflatable boats ect..

Hi >Lilacbunnykins

I guess they let you use the inflatables in the pool then?
When we went on our last 2 hols you werent allowed much to my sons dissapointment.

When we went end of August last year 3 out of our family had a tummy bug which probably lasted about 24 hrs and my friends son had to see the Doctor with an ear infection. The Doctor said he had seen many people with an ear infection and said it was due to the water in the pools.

To those of you going this year I hope you have a great holiday.

Yes we all know what FC really stands for!

Hopefully the mozzies won't be too bad then.

Not sure though if you will exceed your baggage allowance with the sunbeds though :)

(wasn't planning to go to Turkey two years on the trot but thats thanks to FC again!)

Hi Cathiness - Just one question please: are the spa gardens open???? Thanks going on Saturday - all packed and ready to go......

Hi Briar, (Sorry  )

In all respects, the questions being asked and answered are in relaton to the hotel. We are all communicating with each other to ensure we are armed and ready for our holiday to the same place that people are going to or have gone to.

There is not that many posts being left, I have just come from the Kos ABC board where updates are every 10 to 20 minutes, here you are lucky if it is every hour.

I appreicate you are minimising the information in this board (Took me some time to read 20 pages) but it is all usefull stuff.

Cheers

Anyone else recently return who could give us a new review/tips/photos for the hotel?

Have just returned from PP after having spent a week there.
Weather was great (one morning was overcast) with warm sunny days.
Food was great with different dishes most nights.
Complex was stunning with all the tropical landscaping.
The whole place was immaculate. Cleaners working day & night to ensure any mess/spilages were taken care of immediatley.
All staff very polite.
No problem getting sunbeds in morning although when we were there the hotel was not full (700 people were arriving yesterday!!).
Pools were great - especially for kids.
Overall this was a superb place and after reading the reviews from last year, they have certainly made some changes.
Any speficic questions let me know.

Hi Ian,

Thanks for posting. Just one question me and a few others would like to know. Were the pools in the Tropical side open for use please? Sue.

Hi Sue

You were free to walk around the grounds of the Tropical but it was deserted apart from the odd gardener/maintenance worker. The pools were full of water & looked clean but there were no sun loungers out. No-one was using these pools but there were no notices to say not to use them.

I think because all the facilities at the Tropical were closed, it was assumed that the pools were also closed. FC would probably not want these pools to be used as there are no life guards on duty at the Tropical.

There were many different pools to use at the PP, you probably wouldn't need to use the Tropical ones. There were 2 childrens pools with small slides, 1 main large pool (child friendly with a gradual slope into the water), one with some jacuzzis built in, another pool with 3 larger slides and 3 additional pools behind some of the apartments (between the Tropical & PP).
