I was reading the forum for the Kos ABC earlier, it sounds like a few other FC hotels are not open yet either, we'd looked at all the places mentioned and I'm now glad we picked the PP as it does sound like they've ironed out most of the problems. The thing that put me off some of the others were the artists impression pictures in the brochure, I thought at the time that I would be happier going somewhere in it's 2nd season, still new enough to be smart yet old enough to be up and running properly (one hopes).

Hi, the KABC in Kos has been put back opening until 1st July as its just not ready, and Kefalonia pulled for the whole season and will not open unitl 2007, tonight there is a programme on BBC1 called Holiday Hit Squad which will be featuring all 3 ABC's I was one of a handful of people from the Kos ABC that contacted the BBC last week and were interviewed for the programme, FC have lied and lied constantly about the building progress we even have a gentleman who lives in Kos who managed on a few occassions to get photos of the state of play over there, these can be view in the kos photo albumn on here, FC are still saying there are only minor problems at Kos, if this is so why cancel over 1800 families, we will see on TV tonight what the truth is.

I am sure it is the Kefalonia one I was told by Eclipse was not opening at all due to the locals not wanting it there, but I thought Corfu or Crete were getting one?

Think I may book to go to the Sani in Halkadiki!!! that looks great!

I will return to the PP one day tho!

Hi I am another stray from Kos aqua beach club, I was cancelled today so have booked the PP, I am going to gradually read the posts, just a few questions is there kids ice cream included? How many times ca you visit the themed restaurants during your stay i will be there from 27th May til 10th June.

I too, like Michelle, have just booked for the Pegasus for 12th June for 2 weeks after being cancelled from the Kos Aqua Beach Club.

Hope we've made the right choice in sticking with FC. Must say the photos look great and I finally feel that I can sit back and enjoy looking foward to our holiday.

Only 4 weeks 4 days to go - (How sad am I)

i went to the italian and had a hUUUUge tasy spicy pizza:)
If you dont liek cheese make sure you tell them if you ar ehaving bolognase or sorts of pasta as they put it on the dishes.

Ice cream was definately not included from the bars when we were there as parents were telling there kids they coudnt cos they didnt have a watch but i do believe in the kids section of the buffet ice cream was available during lunch and dinner.

Maybe they'll change it if enough people complain tho:) i agree kids need there ice creams!!!
Orange,peach,apricot and apple juice was available free in the morning,afternoon and night from the buffet.and you can get a whoel range of soft drinks including coke and sprite and fanta at all the bars free.

We took a plug in mosquito repellent but we probally didnt need it as there are two nets just make sure you close them both when your going on to the balcony and terrace at night.

THERE ARE NO KETTLES IN THE ROOMS!you can rent them for £3 a day but if you've got a travel one and you liek a cuppa in the morning id definately reccomend you take it.alot of people were cvomplaining they didnt have one.

there is a hair dryer in the bathroom but its not really powerful,it will do the job tho.

theres been loads of q's since i last checked back so i hope iv answered as many as i can.if iv missed any just ask and if i can il try and help you out.

ohh and the lady who was saying theyre kid was playing up yeah il have the ticket!! haha

When we went in September last year we went to the italian resturant twice and the Indian twice, we booked near the reception and were not questioned about going more than once as it did not appear to be an issue. To be honest they write your name on a list that probably get thrown so can monitor when you go. I suppose if you try to book at the same time it may be an issue but we went in the first and second week. So if you like them then go again!

The ice cream was not available at the bar it is at a little stand down near the beach by the rope climbing. From what I read earlier it IS available FREE!!

We took our travel kettle too so we could have a drink in the room, you can take them back to your room (although it says not too) no one stops you.

Shame about the one in KOS, really thought FC would have learnt from last years mistake!!

For those due to go enjoy we are moving house instead this year, so I am jealous!

Ill ask again can anyone explain more to me about these watches?!? and can anyone remember the rough costs of the spa treatments and turkish bath?

I think they are very similar.......when are you going as tropical doesnt open until 17th july ish.
i think there are slightly different pools at each hotel but you can use it all and i think they both have same themed restaurants, bars buffet restuarants etc i just think some facilities are at palace and some only at tropical you know like kids activities, fish restaurant at tropical but whichever you stay in providing its after 17july you can use all facilities.
Oh and i think rooms at palace slightly bigger.
Im going in August and cant wait.

We are supposed to be going Kos 30th August, wife is having a fit after watching BBC and is ordering me to change holidays!

I priced up PP but the new date will be the 24th August.

You are mad moving and going on hols so close together, STRESS!!!

The tom watches- well we didn't get one as we did not feel we needed one and had heard people were being over charged. You go to reception and ask for the watch as they do not just give them you you. You put money on so £50 or whatever you want, this then acts as your payment for things like popcorn & drinks that are not in the AI package as they do not take money. You then top it up as and when needed. I had heard when people got the main receipt at the end more things were added so if you get one then make sure you get a recipt on every transaction otherwise you could be stung for more money. It really is your choice but I got sweets and nibbles from the shop using money instead of popcorn etc on a tom watch. I was also happy with wine beer and vodka so didn't feel I needed to buy drinks that were not AI.

I did however buy a waffle by the bar using lira or euros, so the tom watch was not needed for this, not sure where they draw the line!

How bad is the mozzie situation in August? I just read elsewhere that the area around PP is now being sprayed to reduce the numbers.

when we went to the p/t in oct you could buy the popcorn/waffles/candyfloss with either sterling, euro or lira so maybe they dont do the watch anymore

mcfester, where are you flying from if you go on the 24th. we will be going on the 24th from glasgow. we are staying in the tropical. do you know that as of the 17th july the iberostar chain take over the tropical. we,ve stayed in an iberostar hotel before and the standard was very good, so i am looking forward to going now.
