Hi Rachel
I would say boat trip would be your best bet as the jeep safari can be quite rough as is mainly off road. Turtle boat trip the kids will love. but book through 1 of the places in Sarigerme as a lot cheaper then first choice. Look in the Anything about Sarigerme forum, one of the guides from Sarigerme gives a lot of info! Hope this helps!

Storms- Yes you can get a packed lunch you order it the day before from reception and pick it up in the morning from reception, but I wouldnt bother as it was quite vile, old food from buffet night before I think with some spicy meat sandwich, battered fruit and cartons of juice (the only thing worth having).

Jeep safari is really a good day out and worth the money, i hav a 6 and 8 years old and they thought it was great, (but very hot, glad i covered everyone up with trousers and tshirts (not vests, shorts etc) but when you get the water thrown at you very refreshing. we actually booked via FC and didnt pay for our 6yr old which i thought was great.

The packed lunch we had was fine,( for the Dalyan trip) not much in it but we had a chesse and ham sarnie, a pain au chocolate, an apple and a carton of juice, we had it cause we were entitled to it you aint gotta to eat it! but i found it very nice.

Thank you to Scoubylou and the mcs for that info. Anyone know about the tab situation, dunno whether to buy them here or get them over there?

With regards to having a lunch, someone suggested early on in the forum to take some sandwich bags and make up lunches from the resturant

Hi All.

To all of you ready to go - Don't worry about sunbeds or shaded areas. We had no probs getting sunbeds or parasols (10am) - matresses did go first tho. We did notice spare parasols in the towel hut so with a bit of luck they will still be there. Spoke to a rep who told us that the PP was at full capacity and it was fine. Only q's at the pool bar of a lunchtime BUT if you use your savvy, stroll 100 yards down to the Beach Bar where the chef will prepare the same food to order and no q!! Hope this helps!

PS Sooo good we've booked for next year.

Hi Keitha1065

The people who ran the spa were so nice!! Took my two daughters (11 and 9) with me to the Spa and they were totally pampered! They had a Turkish Bath (free of charge) a sauna and a facial. However, they were too young for a massage - though I would thoroughly recommend it! It was £40 for a 2hour treatment; Turkish bath, Turkish peel (prolongs your suntan!), facial and massage - well worth the money!! Hope this helps.

just got back yesterday from a fabulous two weeks at the PP.

The tropical also opened up last week so got the bonus of using their slides too!

Anyone going with kids will have a brill time as it is an ideal place.

Will post a review when I get more time but if anyone wants any info please let me know.

As for currency it is sterling all the way! We took a little lira for the shops on site but you can still pay in sterling only the exchange rate isn't too good. However in Sarigerme and the markets etc you get a better deal with english money and can even get the change in lira if you want and they give you a better rate as they are desperate for english currency.

Have a fantastic time anyone going soon!!

Hi Vicky

Yes also thought the Tropical did not open until mid July but some I was speaking to were like us booked for Kos ABC which has now been pulled for the summer so not sure if they opened it early to help find alternative accomodation to those due to depart at the beginning of July to Kos.

It was 120 degrees while we were there but to be honest it didn't feel like it. There is usually a gentle breeze most days and there is plenty of shade around the main pools if you want it. Our youngest daughter is just 2 and she was never bothered about the heat - in fact at times she was complaining that she was cold!

Didn't find the queuing a major problem - yes there were queues at lunchtime and the Tropical opening made no difference at all. You may have had to queue for 5 minutes or so but to be honest it was nice to get out of the sun for a bit and it isn't like we were in a hurry to get somewhere!

When the Tropical opened the slide pool at the Palace became far more quiet as the tropical slides are better for the older children so it was better for us!

I know you will have a great time - wish I was going again!

Hayley/John

Didn't notice any wasps too much - certainly far less than most places we have been to - unlike the mozzies! the ampitheatre at night was the place for them to hang out and they certainly took a liking to us!
